Spoil me please. I have to know.

crap, mean for this

Can't see shit. Guess I'll wait.
This "I'm gonna be number #1 in the world" get-my-groove-back moment better not be another fake-out.
But also, are we going to see the JGP finals or just timeskip? It's Inori's most important event but at the same time we have literally zero characters to draw from for meaningful opponents.

Yeah it's weird, it just doesn't load for me. Something is blocked somewhere. Thanks for sharing though.

are we going to see the JGP finals or just timeskip?

Seems like we'll get at least a glimpse of JGP finals, because Tsukasa discussed Iruka's participation with other trainer she won't and the goth girl seems to be participating in the JGP finals. Oh, and Inori's travelling too, so it might be it.

Fuck.

What a disappointing chapter.

conflict is "solved" by Tsukasa just talking about himself for the thousandth time

inori just happens to be sick so she doesn't even visit Iruka in hospital

278134859

Yeah, Iruka is fucked up. Her injury is bad, she'll need 3 months to recover and a help of psychiatrist too. Her sponsorship is in danger too. Inori's sister brought some sweets at hospital for her but didn't speak directly to her because she thought that Iruka forgot her already ;_;. Good thing i it helped cheer her up a little bit, so in the end she promised not to give up on skating too

iruka ded.png - 450x685, 370.22K

To be fair, the conflict could've only ever been resolved by Inori and Tsukasa talking. Because the whole conflict was that they stopped being able to connect, ever since Inori lost in All-Japan Novices. I would've expected it to take longer though.

Fuck. Give Iruka a break c'mon. This is so unfair. At least give her a Mika as a consolation prize.

Happy Belated Birthday!
I made sure to fap to her porn that day!

inoriface21.png - 245x285, 119.26K

At least give her a Mika as a consolation prize.

Mika is just dense and doesn't know how important she's to Iruka. No wonder Inori can't see shit too and thinks Hikaru is just nice to everyone.

madness.png - 738x697, 879.29K

If the story forgets about Iruka I'm going to be furious.

I don't have a problem with problems being resolved by talking. But this chapter was poorly executed and seems to brush over Inori's issues

She gets a lot of time in this chapter. Might not see as much of her when she is no longer a junior

Inori has many issues, but this chapter is more about Tsukasa who couldn't stop being too emotional and causing misunderstandings. That problem is finally resolved, and it seems like they've restored trust, at least for now.

I want to have vaginal sex with Inori so badly...

Wait, how was Tsukasa causing misunderstandings?

Irukabros... not like this

Probably. But still I hope we check in with her every now and then, or hear about how well she's doing in seniors.

It's explained in the chapter. Basically, Tsukasa is way too emotional, blurting things out without much thinking or understanding what Inori is really paying attention to. Tsukasa also talks a lot instead of listening so he has the wrong idea of what Inori actually thinks about his ideas.

I hope Iruka is top 5 in the new poll. She's one of the most compelling parts of the manga for me right now. She has everything working against her but she's choosing to forsake looking like a bitch so she can be the cool girl Inori knows she is.

That's true. But I wish there was more focus on how she felt. This doesn't feel like good preparation for her before the gp final

Deserves to be higher than Rioh that's for damn sure.

I would have a hard time deciding to vote for Miku or Iruka if they let gaijins votes

Inori really needs some new rivals. Hikaru and Iruka can't carry the manga by themselves.

It's time for PLOY SUPERBUND to shine.

Manaka Roba will have her revenge for flopping harder than Inori at her worst. She's the true underdog of the story.

but anon... she is a child

Inori needs someone chasing after her

I wish, but she's 13 now unfortunately.

Everyone forgot about Main...

13 is still prime

That could potentially be Mittens. She'll enter Novice A next year, which means she can get invited into Juniors if she does well in Novice A nats

She's still past the expiration date and won't be keeping her good looks for long.

She's still sexy.

Inori has only gotten better with age.

Actually how does that work? Is it just the international competition that has an age cutoff?

one thing you can never doubt about this manga is the art

I'm betting that Inori will at least get bronze at the GP. It's a big comeback and shows how far she can recover, and she still podiums so it's good for japan too.

But she promised Hikaru that she'd take gold.
And the international competition she has aren't even named characters.

Everything was too easy for Inori in S1 of anime. She was nervous once and that was literally the only problem she encountered so far. That's not enough for a sports show, all the drama was on the boys side here

That definitely does not last.

The biggest misunderstanding cleared is the idea that Tsukasa somehow "sacrificed" his dream for the sake of Inori.
Ice Dance was a substitute because he couldn't make it in singles and he looked to join Ice shows because he couldn't do Ice Dance anymore. But becoming a coach is different. He choose to become a coach not because he couldn't skate anymore, it's because he doesn't want Inori, who was just like him, to not be able to skate because of the lack of a coach. His dream is no longer to become a top athlete but become a perfect coach.

Inori is the vegeta of the series. Hikaru is the one who destroys all her competition with ease.

And looking back, this misunderstanding is cause of at least one moment where Inori got extremely desperate and did something unwise (attempt a 3A when she hadn't landed it in practice)

file.png - 887x1362, 2.64M

Iruka seems to have cut herself when Mika got injured and quit skating.

file.png - 1114x1600, 2.13M

By S3 you will be begging for Inori to just have some kind of win.

She already had cutting scars on her legs from the pool chapter. Sad, even in this chapter she just wanted Mika to fix her.

This is definitely the big thing that they needed to talk through. It's been a long time coming so I'm happy that they finally get to sort their feelings out.
But did Tsukasa cause this misunderstanding? IIRC the way this went down was Inori started piling the blame and guilt on herself as a reaction to injuring Tsukasa.

Some of it was from other people. She saw how people reacted to Mika's injury and quitting from skating, how people thought that Tsukasa quitting ice dance was a waste, and how people thought how big of a loss Iruka's injury was. And unlike her time in novice, she knows that people place just as much or even more expectations on her now, so she needs to perform well.
But the biggest thing is Tsukasa. Every time she fails doing something, he tends to show a troubled expression. *We* know it's from him thinking that he didn't teach Inori properly but Inori thinks that Tsukasa was being disappointed in her

file.png - 1114x1600, 2.36M

And we know she's rather sensitive to Tsukasa's expressions

file.png - 878x461, 765.17K

I wonder if this is part of Jun's coaching. He knows Hikaru is extremely observant of facial expressions and behaviors and intentionally only showed an ice cold poker face so she could just focus on his skating.

I think that sells Inori's greatness short. Because she was always worrying that her being disappointed in herself would make Tsukasa worried about his coaching, which is why she was always trying to put on a brave face about losing.
At least that was the impression I was getting.

Jun can have that excuse when he shows a face other than edgy dickhead to anyone ever.

This chapter also introduced a new element that isn't part of Jun's coaching: Resiliency. The ability to pick yourself back up after a loss while keeping your heart intact. Jun never learned this. He quit skating before he ever faced a loss.

irukaface1.png - 617x348, 340.82K

Don't worry bros, a timeskip will save Iruka

JK Inori...

What'd they say?
And yeah this has to be the darkest stuff in the whole manga.

What Iruka really needs is a loving, supportive, kind faceless ugly bastard in her life

This is the first time Inori has ever shown anger at Tsukasa, this is for him always asking her to practice less
