We're out of the first cour peak and into the silly episodes!
It was a Haruka episode and we got to learn a lot about Haruka and her family dynamics. There was also a small revelation I didn't think even think about with the setting.
Also this little brat sounds like an adult! That sent my sides every time she spoke and it was just an adult woman trying to sound childish.

So Haruka's family feels like the most normie of any lead precure family. I haven't seen all precure and I suspect some of the earlier precures might be a little more normie, but out of all the ones I've seen Haruka's is definitely the most normal.
There now that I've couched myself. You've got the dad who is candy maker and just loves his daughter. Mom is a little more laid back, but supportive nonetheless, and the loving, but coping little sister. Literally nothing out of the ordinary when compared to say Hikaru who's dad is a cryptozoologist. Or Manatsu's "I want to be a firetruck" dad. I literally don't even remember Miyuki's dad.

I really need to learn how to space my thoughts out better because I want to talk about the little sister, but I said most of it in the first post. That being said I will reiterate that I do love Commie's flavoring of making everything French to sound high class. Just sends my sides every time.

Saki's parents are bakers. Tsubomi's run a flower shop.

I like Haruka's dad gag about him missing her so much and being clingy.
One thing about Haruka's family tho is that they live in a traditional japanese house (with a tatami, sand garden and all that), unique for a MC even if she doesn't spend a lot of time there.

On to the little revelation which was quite simple: Haruka might be the smartest lead cure. She got into a high level school and has some skills in studying. In fact we've gone a full cour without ever hearing of grade issues. In fact she picked up ballet and violin without seemingly too much trouble. The only Lead cure that comes close in my viewings has been Hikaru from ST, and even then we didn't get to see that intelligence until the end when she finally went to space.

They do mention her studying hard to get into the school, in episode 1 when dad is driving.
It's a brief scene so it's easy to miss.

I do wonder if the dream empowering the dark kindom does only goes after whatever dream is most powerful in the moment. Otherwise I have to agree with Shut here at the whole family banking their happiness on Haruka. The whole dream sealing thing has just always hit on long term goals rather than short term ones, so its quite baffling.

Was Mirai all that smart? She had talent, but overall she didn't really come off as having too many brains. Its hard for me to judge since Liko was there right next to her just being all brains and no talent.
That was just one factor of being a normie. An Autist can run a business, and even have a family, but it doesn't stop them from being an Autist.

It's not really fair to count timeskips otherwise Nozomi and Hana are right at the top too and that feels wrong.

I think all the GoPris are probably among, if not, the smartest Cures just based on the fact that they all attend one of the top tier schools in the Cure universe.
Haruka is definitely a fast learner, while the others seem to be naturally gifted, specially Kirara that does the modeling stuff+ school+cure stuff.
