This is Patrick Ashbatten...

This is Patrick Ashbatten. He had the audacity to show up in like episode 3 of a title that wasn't a love story at all but just a dumb comedy to turn it into one and become a love interest, except, he's a steaming pile of shit love interest that's more so written like a godawful and boring hollow shell self-insert who can't even stop toots from happening.
He doesn't do things like slam the wall behind you and lift your chin, he isn't forceful and rapey and never makes your heart race and he looks average as fuck. His only redeeming grace is just being average while everyone else treats you like shit.
Say something horrible and bad about Patrick please.

He doesn't do things like slam the wall behind you and lift your chin, he isn't forceful and rapey and never makes your heart race

Wtf is he gay or something?

Just written like a passive bland little self-insert.

I mean, so is Duke after the medicine kiss, but it totally works with Duke because Alicia actually does shit.

He would be an NPC in a normal romance series

Wouldn't even exist. It feels like either the editor wanted a love interest and the writer simply couldn't write one, or it's actually the writer's self-insert.

I find him unique as he is just a competent chill dude instead of a herbivore male or a handsome rape prince, perfect fit for a emotionally stunned girl.

Patrick's a great love interest, he's not a self-insert, he is kind of an idoalized idea of a man. He has a backbone, he doesn't judg eyou even though everyone does, he supports you in everything you do, he cares for you and makes you a better and a happier person.
He's basically accepting and loving an autistic freak.

He made yuricucktrannies seethe and dilate their axe wounds. A+ in my book! Anti self insert schizos have no choice but to lose.

What you want sounds more self-insert tbqh

You can tell these are the kind of people that never read actual villainess romance.

Before he moves in with her he was a good character, but was relegated to straight main status (desu her hijinks got to absurd for the character he did have to shine anyway).

except I know villainess romance
You want it to be tropey, and you're pretending this makes it less self-insertey, that's like if I said a show needs "more harem romance and with a tsundere", that's more cliche and self-insert because you're brainlessly mimicking a self-insert genre

What even is a “villainness romance”.
To be honest this word became such a meme, even in Japan, and nowadays seems to largely be used just to mean:

Sexually attractive, confident, capable protagonist

At least when very explicitly branded as such in promotional material everywhere. It basically seems to mostly mean the protagonist has a scandalous cleavage this time around and isn't a passive little faggot.

more harem romance and with a tsundere

It's been almost a decade since this was a relevant cliche.

His banter with Dorkenss was funny. I like him.

He knows her Dorkness too well.

Rapechad or bust.

The charges? Officer?

If you made this thread 12 minutes later it would've been at exactly 16 hours.

It's called self-preservation.
