It’s no Bocchi the Rock level of production. The music is just covers of existing musics because they didn’t have the budget like Bocchi to bring in multiple popular indie bands to create original inserts. The story’s pretty generic.
It’s an enjoyable watch for the season, but if you want something that really delivers, go for Apocalypse Hotel, Shoshimin S2, or Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray. Those are the only standout shows this season. This and Kowloon are just decent.
I'm glad they wrapped up the bitch sister plotline so quickly. I was really worried she would turn into a Megan sort of character, constantly fucking shit up, misunderstanding and being a forced type of tension.

This is doing something a little bit different.
During each performance the thematic conflict comes out of Lilisa. The music is deftly toned down and her inner monologue becomes the focus. She questions her own rebellious energy, and after a moment of silence the song explodes with energy and she just shreds into it.
They're three for three on this and each time, they killed it.

If you like Anon Babblesic and the spirit of rock, I'd say so, the instrumental math rock songs are a ton of fun, and they just did a rock cover of Takarajima, its a nice change up from the usual band anime songs and band girls for that matter, the edgy rude girls are great

That's kind of funny. I think you'll like it then. The girls just are good, they don't spend much time or why or how. The bigger problem is facing the stigma against what they're good at.
I consider it a let down personally, more than anything I love a story about getting good and how difficult that really is. But I also like seeing people who are good at something defend, insist upon, and demonstrate its value. I think you'll enjoy it if you like that too
