Boku no Hero academia

Fan book is out. What do you think, Anon Babble? Do you like what you learned so far?

I like that this shit is finally over

It was good, but more or less showed what the original ending did already.

Imamura:
Then the episode where Toga dies. At first, she wasn't supposed to die. She was supposed to be caught and live in prison.

Horikoshi:
I was proceeding with that concept in mind, but then I changed my mind halfway through.

Imamura:
I got a call from Sensei while I was walking in Shinjuku, and got asked
"Actually, is it ok to make Toga die?"

I was like, "This is no joke."
So I canceled all my plans for the rest of the day and spent about three hours with Sensei discussing whether she should die or not. We explored various developments.

Horikoshi:
There was also an idea that Toga was actually still alive.
Sometimes Ochako would go to the forest where the battle had taken place and leave a syringe of her blood there.
And then the next day it would be gone.

Imamura: Yes, like leaving a hint at survival

Horikoshi:
But in the end, that would have resulted in no one taking responsibility, so we decided not to do that. In the end, Imamura-san gave his OK.

Imamura:
I too had a hard time deciding whether death or survival was better.

Horikoshi:
But thanks to you, this episode received high marks in the reader survey.

Imamura:
Sensei does a self-check after finishing the manuscript.
Then in the last scene, he added an exclamation mark to Toga's monologue for
"A normal girl" and made it into
"A normal girl !"

I got goosebumps because that one thing totally changed the nuance.
The reading experience was completely different. The end of a girl named Toga Himiko is still sad but became also cheerful.

Horikoshi:
Doing things like that makes my manuscript late haha

It was already decided if Toga was going to die way before the final war started.

Hori should never write again

I still can't believe Bakugofags on Twitter are mad that things other than "Who's the strongest?" matter for a hero ranking
Yeah, obviously people are gonna prefer someone like Mirio to Mr Blows Up At Everyone Who Bothers Him Slightly

Parts from the interview between Kohei Horikoshi and 5th Editor Takuro Imamura

【The sudden announcement of the deaths of Bakugou and Toga】

Q. Is there any episode that left a lasting impression on you, Mr. Imamura?
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Imamura:
The episodes when Bakugou was nearly killed in the fight with Shigaraki, and when Toga dies.

When it came to Bakugou, it was right after the handover(of the work), and he said
"Imamura-san, Bakugou is going to die but is that OK?"
I was surprised when he said that so smoothly.
But you had already made plans for Bakugou's revival at that time, right?

Horikoshi:
I didn't want to kill the character, but I also wanted to express Shigaraki's overwhelming strength.
So I decided to killed him off for now, with the intention of reviving him later.

Imamura:
When I asked you "When will he wake up?"
you said "About a year, or a year and a half in the real world."
So I couldn't immediately reply
"Okay then."
I know Bakugo would come back to life, but fans will have to wait a year lol

Horikoshi:
Imamura-san actually consulted with an emergency medical technician.

Imamura:
"Theoretically, if the patient could be sewn up the moment the heart explodes, he might be able to survive." they said.

Horikoshi:
I was able to depict it feeling relieved because I was told about the possibility. Imamura-san is very quick and has a light footwork with things like this, so it was really helpful.

When Hori “killed” Bakugo he was already planning to revive him.

Nobody cares

【Endeavour: avoiding death with a reversal move】

Horikoshi:
Endeavor was supposed to die somewhere after the high-End Nomu battle in volume 21, right?

Yoritomi:
That's right. At first I also said, "No, that's a bit much...", but then I gave up and thought, "It will be what it will be," and then Endeavor's reversal move was so great that he survived.

Horikoshi:
As I was drawing it, I thought it would be wrong for Endeavor to die here.

Yoritomi:
Endeavor will continue to carry the cross and atone for his past mistakes right?

Horikoshi:
I think this is when I started thinking that I wanted to make the story with as few deaths as possible.
I love the tension of life and death, and it's necessary, but I think I want to keep it to a minimum in "My Hero Academia."

Yoritomi:
However, on the other hand, they all get seriously injured in the fierce fighting, and they end up becoming worn out.

Horikoshi:
I made sure that it would definitely leave a scar.

Yoritomi:
But because the characters are trying their best despite being so battered and bruised, their words are more persuasive and I think I was extraordinarily encouraged by reading them.

Hori never regretted keeping Endeavor alive. He is glad he took that chance and already made a conclusion for his character since his fight with High end

Needed more BBCs

Suffice to say, I'm still very satisfied because all of the girls don't have any confirmed ships besides Ochako/Deku, Gentle/La Brava (my OTP), Kinoko/Kuroiro and Shindo/Tatami. That means my self-insert harem fanfic can stay intact.

Momo? Mine.
Mina? Mine.
Jirou? Mine.
Tsuyu? Mine.
Toru? Mine.
Kendo? Mine.
Nejire? Mine.
Camie? Mine.
Mirko? Mine.
Mt. Lady? Mine.
Midnight? Mine.
Mandalay? Mine.
Pixie Bob? Mine.
Ragdoll? Mine.
Toga? Mine.

I might take more, since it's free real estate. That includes Shoto's cute sister. I also don't count Pixie Bob either because her husband is some unnamed unseen NPC and that says nothing.

Eri grew up to be a real qt btw. That little minx ripened like a fresh fruit.

harem end.png - 1718x798, 2.5M

Horikoshi was asked about Endeavor’s ability to breath fire and he said “Well, that is our Ruri chan.

Aoki Ruri _.png - 1424x1684, 3.68M

I hope the author and all the fans of this faggotry die horrible undignified deaths

If Ero got her horn back. Does that mean she still has her quirk?

If Eri broke off her horn, could she travel in time?

Mirio is stronger too.

She never lost her quirk, she just broke a large piece off to give to Midoriya.

Our Hero won

For me, it’s Hawks.

Then why didn't she heal all the heroes? How long was it going to take to heal everyone?

In the book, it was stated:

Touya’s stubbornness in burning himself was the reason the family fell apart.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how true is that?

I just don't understand this homo

he insists on this concept of "taking responsibility" but he does everything in his writing to avoid his favored characters doing that

what a stupid faggot

So, it's a 10. It's called the Asian stupidity. The whole family must apologize for their member’s crime even if they didn't do anything.

You might be retarded anon

Yaoi always wins

Isn't Toga dead?

So Hori was who decided she die instead of be jailed and not the editor. Can we stop blaming editors?

The amount of rewind stored in that piece of horn she broke off (which was most of the horn) was barely enough to get Deku's arms back. She was also a small child, not a combat medic.

Mina is the best girl.

That's a shame. She could have been a better recovery girl. Speaking of which, what happened to the recovery girl?

Hori already said no editor or publisher could change his mind if decided to do something back in 2022.

Doesn't this seem like a last minute apology? This should've been in the the other two endings lol.

Non direct answer over IzuOcha

Oh yeah he bent the knee to cushion the hate from fujos kek. I'll wait for official translations but it already sounds like it. A better response would've been to say they had a crepe date or something if he didn't give a fuck.

You're right, I remember Mina and other characters calling her that too, just goes to show how unmemorable this friendship was, especially when Kaminari and Bakugou had more important Jirou scenes. Momo got the same irrelevant best friend effect Tsuyu got.

That would be yuri in Toga's case, and yuri is considered more expendable.

Because she had been used enough and minute her grandfather woke up he signed away her custody to Mandalay who was willing to treat her like a human child same as Kota and not a soldier/bioweapon for the benefit of hero society like the UA peeps were planning on using her to be next recovery girl. And instead of helping humanity as a hero being gaslit into the idea by adults who see a golden goose she chose music and civilian laws protect her right to live like the quirkless like with Inko and others.

no tips for deku

i know but ai tl anons were saying editor forced him

trash

Horikoshi has never gave ruri an obi rec right?

whore

Maybe she's on a mission trip

Real question. Did her grandfather abuse her or wrong her? Why didn't he stop Chisaki?

AI is a slop translation. In past interviews, Hori confirmed it is his story and no one can change his mind about his characters.
A what?

Endeavor did nothing wrong

Lol

my disdain for this man only grows as he reveals more and more of his retardation
the only possible explanation for what happened to the manga is for him to have suffered severe brain damage sometime in 2021

Boku no BBC Academia

Because Yakuza movies go like this- boss adopts delinquent orphan who grows up his devoted right hand man and adoptive son and will treat him and his family as more than family and do "Man on Fire" to protect them. Instead Chisaki was plain psychopath with zero respect for humanity and the boss was too naive and believed in the yakuza values. Boss told him he was excommunicated the day he heard what he planned to do to Eri and we see Chisaki twitch and know thats when he put the old man into a coma.

Imamura wasn't his editor yet when the final war arc started.

An obi is a a strip on the lower part of the dust jacket of new volumes where either recommendations by other celebs or authors or info about sales number or anime release is advertised.

I know, he was his previous editor which confirmed that Hori already decided that Toga was going to die way before the final arc started.

I remember! It was that editor called Shinigami of jump. Did he give a interview?

BLACKED manga

Oh, I see. No, I don't think he did. All of his obis is about his character talking about the covers. Like how mini Toga talking to giant Shigaraki and saying Cameraman, aka Hori, drew him as a giant solo cover.

You black one Japanese girl and you never live it down

Imamura is right there on the assistants page of volume 42. He was the last editor the manga had.

Anon, he has gone on record to say he wrapped up the Forest Training arc earlier than planned because of sales. There was also a slight sales dip during MVA, and considering the arc's treatment in the anime, it's likely the same happened there. There's also the fact that he made the statement you cited back in the beginning of MVA. I do think Hori was reigned back in a lot of times during the series.

ヒーローを諦めきれず “個性” の訓練を続け、火

炎傷を作る兄・燈矢が理由で家族の関係は悪化し続 けた。

The relationship between the family continues to deteriorate because of his brother Touya, who is unable to give up on his dream of becoming a hero and continues to train his "quirk", resulting in a fire scar

Hori finally confirmed Dabi was the reason the family fell a part

Well yeah, no one cared about Endeavor’s actions. Obviously he didn’t do anything wrong.

I don't know what to tell you, anon. It was Hori’s decision, not the editor.
He kinda is. I don't think any mangaka wants his new manga to be axed. He realized Nips didn't like the villains and that is why he cut their story short in both arcs.

I think this is when I started thinking that I wanted to make the story with as few deaths as possible.

It's nice to have it confirmed that this was a deliberate decision and it started halfway through the manga.

Toya drove everyone crazy. I remember the Giga jump interview, Hori said he was twisted.

He also did in a two page blurb in either wsj magazine or giga(a tutorial for newcomer mangaka applicants he was to judge and guide) but this is japan only and only had a few places tl here. The copium they have with the data book is that it is mainly compiled by assistants and junior editors with input from authors but that two pager was straight from Hori. There was also two more one on Twice.

It’s a little confusing why he writes so much about Endeavor atoning though. He didn’t do anything wrong. Is it because he knows the series has an international audience?

It started way earlier than I thought. That decision was made during the High-End fight and not after it. I saw many people say Endeavor was supposed to die in the PLW but Hori confirmed that keeping Endeavor alive was something he decided back before that. He is happy about that decision.

It was his scar about being axed twice before. If he was axed a third time he'd have to shift magazines to publish.

Just like why Rei wanted to take responsibility. It's a Japanese thing where parents take responsibility for their kid’s actions.

Shocking as is "why the fuck are these two characters together now" or "I can't believe this is an unironical harem".

nobody gives a fuck about them

That's not what popularity polls, fanart numbers and online messages say. The truth is that nips were mad about Yamcha getting cucked for a very short while and then everyone moved on. Bejita and Bulma's relationship took off only after people got to see what they were like together, from Bejita's initial apparent indifference to the end of the Buu arc where it's obvious he loves his family and it's the main factor in his transformation as a person, and has only continued to develop over time. In fact, Daima sucked to a lot of people and yet, a colorful adult joke involving them went more viral than anything related to BnHA pretty much ever.

He did do something wrong because he was obsessed with strength instead of seeing what the real path was is what is literally written in his profile and that now he is free after self reflection and grasping the missteps of his past trying to make ut up to his children he neglected(doesn't mention Rei other than her being batshit).

The data book is that it is mainly compiled by assistants and junior editors with input from authors but that two-pager was straight from Hori.

This is the next level of coping. It reminded me of when faggots thought chapter 431 was AI or that an assistant drew it.

Endeavor never wronged Dabi/Touya.

No new translations say Endeavor was supposed to die in High end arc. The old said when planning the high end arc they thought Endeavor should die when Dabi did the reveal dance but changed it. The Dabi Dance ultimately occured in PLW but the plan might have been all of that would have happened during prohero.

With pleasure!
*Unzips*

In the end, this was a great story and I enjoyed the years

Yeah that's what I said whats there in the databook is suggesting what Endeavor wronged was being tunnel visioned and neglected being normal father. He also paid all the victims and family of victims of Dabi from every league attack in full together with All Might doing some outreach for victims thing.

I'm so confused now. Which is the right translation? Which arc was Enceavor supposed to die in?

Dear God she's better than Pop Step. Deku is ending up with her for real isn't he?

Even I don't know at this point since theres so many translations

Let's just take Hori’s new interviews since we actually have the source this time. Hori mentioned Endeavor’s moves.

That's not what popularity polls, fanart numbers and online messages say.

Which among them are specifically about couples? Because I highly doubt you'd back up your claims in fact most of the criticisms about them mirror exactly what I said, nobody actually thinks Toriyama handles it well because nobody takes romance in DBZ seriously why do you think there's so much cuck porn and jokes associated with the series?

Yamcha getting cucked for a very short while and then everyone moved on

Nips still seethe about it to this day especially since they watched and grew up with DB but it got spin into hilarity once his loser status became memeworthy.

In fact, Daima sucked to a lot of people and yet, a colorful adult joke involving them went more viral than anything related to BnHA pretty much ever.

Outside a few gooner accounts no it didn't and much like Daima it was forgotten immediaitely after

boko no stakes academia

and here's another one and to further prove how full of shit you are older titles like Conan has huge following for couples and its close to 30 year olds. Nobody gives a fuck about DB couples

Nice

BakuDeku beat IzuOcha by just one

I see...

To be fair Conan has one of the highest number of canon pairings(with the police making up huge number) and shippable pairings

Didn’t Shinichi just finally become Ran’s boyfriend like a Gajillion episodes in?

I don't get it. If they’re not going to take the author’s words who will they believe?

Yamcha's humiliation ritual needs to be studied. Didn't they give him some self insert spin off?

Any updates about Momo from her profile or did Hori still forget she exists?

Yeah but in manga world not much time has passed

6 months have passed

Lads, if you could endlessly print out money by dragging shit out as much as possible at the expense of the story, would you do it?

Why does Hori not care about her even in the slightest?

Most of the cases take 4 to 8 chapters if it’s the black organization then it takes more than 15 chapters.

I want to get into Conan but man that chapter episode count and the fact that from what I've heard most of the cases aren't even tangibly related to the Black Organization plot just puts me off it entirely. Fells like something you had to get in early on

Has Horikoshi said anything about deku's dad yet?

Anything about Rei or Natsu? What happened? After they left the hospital/prison?

75% of the episodes now is filler/origin cases by the studio. I highly recommend you read the manga. It's more fun. Early episodes rarely have filler in between, but now you would be lucky if this month you get a manga adaptation.

So did Hori choose to have Momo and Hagakure dress in less revealing close at adults on purpose?

I really don't like that he called Camie stupid.

The only thing Endeavor did to Touyacwas running away and choosing Shoto which I can't blame him for, Touya was unhinged.

So, did Hori write the data book or not? Why are there people saying he did not write it? Did I miss something?

Yes. He breathes fire.

He revealed his real name is Zen.

I'll never be convinced this wasn't the plan at some point but he changed his mind because he just couldn't be arsed to spend so much time focusing on deku and writing family drama about him

At this point he needs to confirm that Inko and Hisashi broke up years ago

Thank you for ten years of coom material, Hori

So everyone from 1a never hooked up with anyone else? Were they all asexual

No one wants to accidentally create the quirk singularity Antichrist

Bakugou would never snap at his girlfriend.

Lmao like 1as shitty quirks could do that

He won Employee of the Month.

Mina’s horns grow unless she files them appropriately

Lmao what the fuck he needed a real doctor's opinion for

According to Hori, Hagakure accidentally nuded out on live tv and now she’s up in the hero rankings
