I think the difference is that Quanxi, Reze, and Denji were trained to fight, while the other hybrids are just random guys who sometimes fight but rely a lot on their powers. That's why Denji beat 3 of them at the same time. Barem may or may not be strong too. The only two times we saw him fight in his hybrid form, he was destroyed by Pochita, worse than Quanxi, so he's definitely weaker than her, but beyond that, we have no idea.

I'm hoping for a return to form in these next chapters. I guess I'm with Barem. Denji's redeeming quality is that he becomes an absolute savage when he fights. No matter how whiny or dumb he acted before that.
I think it's going to largely depend on what Fakesaw Man does. If Denji fought Yoru, I'd expect Fakesaw Man to side with Denji. But he's under Death's control so that's no longer a given.
I feel like it's a little early for Yoru and Denji to trade blows but who knows.

Barem's flamethrowers are a bit clunky as a weapon. He'd be my candidate for some sort of Fire Devil power-up, just to make him more menacing as a villain.
