If you want to read the book, read it in English instead of the Japanese translation. But there's no way to win with adaptions like these so yuo have to compromise somewhere.

People who say this, without variation, know only enough Japanese to recognize a handful of common words, and if the translation doesn't line up exactly with the literal words they recognize, they sperg out about it. Such people though are very often wrong about their complaints, because their limited sub-N5 level knowledge of Japanese causes them to be bamboozled by things like wasei-eigo, double negative sentences, and of course idiomatic and metaphorical phrases.

I would very much like it if people like you actually did bother to properly learn Japanese so I wouldn't have to listen to you complain loudly that "she said 'bitch' but the subs said 'slut'" for the umpteenth time.
