Just finished this, what the FUCK was the author thinking?
Just finished this, what the FUCK was the author thinking?
best girl won simple as
That Youtsubest was the best (girl).
The author had to actively sabotage other girls chances on winning and the worst thing is that because he wasn't sure when to end the thing he just ended up hiding too much so as to not hint the winner and the winning girl ends up being real damn dull.
not sure what anyone is surprised about. ichika was a snake and confessed first which means she had no chance (snakes never win), nino and miku confessed first which lowered their chances greatly (even if nino did have the tsundere card), itsuki was too irrelevant and her feelings were revealed in the very end, and even though yotsuba "confessed" first she played it off as a joke. everyone knows that that the girl who confesses first never wins because it strips the man of his role, he has to do the chasing and confess first. this LITERALLY always happens in traditional romcom/harem
wasnt it revealed in an interview or one of the fanbooks that yotsuba was always the planned winner? it was the editors idea to have him meet itsuki in the first chapter to throw readers off
Yotsuba was clearly telegraphed from the start, only retards are still blind to it.
What I don't understand about this series, is why there is more seasons planned, ovas, and even a videogame rpg is still coming?
This wasn't like old school harems where it was left open ended to keep making more content, nor was it like an actual harem where the MC loves all the girls.
This shit was very much ended in a conclusive way, the MC chose one and married her, and years passed.
Like what the fuck is the viewer is supposed to get out of it now? A married couple with four orbiters?
Author is a giant fucking coward too, so he won't even make things interesting and write romantic stories about the other girls falling in love with other men and having their own happy endings themselves.
Why the fuck are they even single years and years later after the time skip still pinning after a married man anyway? Thats weird as fuck...
What I'm saying, this is such a weird series to try to make a franchise, where the winner is already established so the story and characters can't go anywhere.
Who were you rooting for?
Total Tsundere Destruction
He should write alternative endings for all the other girls, seems like a more obvious move than what you're suggesting.
is why there is more seasons planned, ovas, and even a videogame rpg is still coming?
Because it's the most popular romcom of the last few years.
He should have written it so that he marries one but the others are his mistresses, how is that the hentai parody had a more satisfying ending?
Even though I liked Ichika the most, I thought the MC and Miku would end up together—it just made the most sense to me. She was the one from the start who had any interest in him. She tried to learn how to cook for him. She confessed to him, even though she made it vague right away. I still think she meant it for MC.
Yotsuba felt a bit odd to be chosen in comparison. At least they dropped in S2 that she was the girl from Kyoto, but otherwise she felt underdeveloped. Not as underdeveloped as Itsuki as a love interest, but still.
Who is still buying or watching this when we already know who won?
Why is Miku far and away the most popular Quint?
The VN allows readers to romance any quint they want and even if they were rooting for a quint who lost, extra material gives them more content of their waifu and when someone really loves a character that's all that matters. Even when Yukino won, Yuifags still come around to see what happened to her character. Same with Kosakifags, same with Yoshinofags, same with Eririfags, same thing is happening with Keifags.
early development plus gap moe plus autistic
That's some weird simping
has yotsubest wins
tourists are still mad
raffs into the sunset
It was a super popular romcom and the girls are still popular to this day. The VNs are nice side "what if" stuff for people whose girls lost and I respect that they keep making more (well they're probably printing a lot of money anyway)
The greater crime is that he is stuck with that boring sentai shait instead of making another romcom or harem. The axe can't come soon enough
Yuifags still come around to see what happened to her character. Same with Kosakifags, same with Yoshinofags, same with Eririfags, same thing is happening with Keifags.
You know what would be even much better? If the writer wrote them their own love story with someone else, he can even take a different tone with each and give off a different feel than the original series with each romance story.
Hell, Quintuplets is in the title, shouldn't the series revolve around them instead of that one faggot who already married one of them?
This.
Something good that turned meh by chapter 70, and complete trash by the end.
I'm not really surprised. Her whole arc was about learning to be selfish, having something special for herself and not sharing it with anyone, and being special in the end.
what the FUCK was the author thinking?
iirc Negi wanted to give Yots small moment across the story instead of a big focus arc but I guess that didn't worked well with the telenovela style writing and the lack of SoL chapters in between the drama arcs, by the end F's confession ended up being about her supporting him which all the quints did so it kinda fell flat
It wasn't, her arc was about moving on from her guilt, by the end she was OK with sharing Fuuts with the others which is why they all go to the honeymoon together, the conclusion to her arc is that she doesn't have to be selfish to be special
Losing heroines never really get to move on, at least on paper. The most recent one has been Kosaki since she's married and has a daughter, I can't name another.
Eh, I don't think he wants that. He gave us an extra chapter, and decided to focus it on a bathing suit which gave us the quints wanting to impress Fu in their bikinis. He could have given Fu and Yotsuba a honeymoon special, but didn't care to.
Yes, it was. No, the honeymoon had nothing to do with "sharing Fuutarou" since the honeymoon isn't a polyamorous thing, and that's what the honeymoon specials even showed. Even in the honeymoon specials, neither Yotsuba nor Fuutarou allowed the others to be romantically or sexually with him, which is why they didn't make a move on him, or try to, or even think about it.
The conclusion is that it's okay to be selfish and have something special for yourself and not share it with anyone else and be special.
Why the fuck are they even single years and years later after the time skip still pinning after a married man anyway? Thats weird as fuck...
I read the wedding and watched the OVA to decide whether to watch the rest and it convinced me that the author is a lunatic and its fans don't want Romance they want to be sports fan cheering for their team.
Is he even romantically with her? It felt like watching 2 friends and what kind of madman would bring the rivals in love to his honeymoon and spend that time fixing their shit instead of enjoying the vacation?
5 years and they could not sort themselves out? That's like the author saying "guess what, your girl didn't win and she is a retard without this guy".
This
Who the fuck would bring other people along with them in their honeymoon? Same people that were in love with the person you married mind you.
Even if they are family, this is some weird behavior and not at all romantic.
The author is a hack.
guy your marrying rejects your sister on the wedding day
i still don't understand this? obviously when futs went to find yotsuba in the school he picked her so why did he need to reject nino? she cried when miku came to her because she knew his answer already
The conclusion is that it's okay to be selfish and have something special for yourself and not share it with anyone else and be special.
That way of thinking is what lead Yots to turn into a bitch in the past, she thought the only way she could be special and not have to share everything with her sisters was to be selfish and separate from them, she then went to the other extreme due to her guilt, in the end she learns she can be special to F without needing to be selfish and keep him away from her sisters, you're right that the group honeymoon is not a poly thing but it's about how she can share F with the others but remain special to him as his wife, he can love all of them while having a romantic love for Yots alone
still retarded to bring others on your honeymoon, the others being your sisters who your husband rejected. makes the 4 losing quints come across as ultra losers who will never move on
agreed
Then we have two different perspectives on this. I think it's because of their unbreakable bond, which is why I think Fuutarou said at the end of the wedding that the quints are a pain in the ass. They only helped Lily for one day, not the entire vacation.
Your perspective on the others is very questionable to me. That's not even close to what the honeymoon specials showed with the others.
Is he even romantically with her?
They've only kissed twice, once by accident under the bell and once at their wedding, I get they had a long distance relationship for a few years but this just screams dead bedroom in their future
negi shit on their marriage and relationship because he didn't want the other quintfags to stop checking in on the franchise. if he drew yotsuba as a lovey dove wife watching their two kids then it settles everything, they're happy yada yada but having them move at snails pace and be long distance opens up head canons to divorce. such endings usually happen when the winner isn't the most popular girl meaning she's not bringing in the most $$$
then his story doesn't follow artistic choices but what would give the most profit and that devalues it.
Ninokeks are still seething
Long distance marriage and no kids nor sex
Whats the deal with Japanese writers and this retarded trope?
I always thought this was a Japanese mentality, but then my new next door neighbor is married to a Japanese lady and they seem perfectly happy and have three kids.
Anime am I right?
