Tsugimanga isn't that big of a deal if your manga doesn't have internet momentum to compound it. Last year was an extemely special case with two rookies of two "dying" magazines, the same name for both of their protags (Chihiro), and the fans wanting them to win against veterans.
Look at previous winners and what Tsugi did to them. Medalist only got a proper boost after the anime become undisputed AOTS. Seitokai barely moved. Yani no Ura is still niche. 2021 featured two already big manga. 2020 was UU lol.

Lemme go back in time and tell ya, as a supporter of Kagurabachi since Chapter 3, that absolutely no one was on Kagurabachi's court by then and that it was a laughing stock even for the west. The turnaround happened when it slowly became apparent that this manga is good.
Good manga will speak for itself when shone in the spotlight. If Kagurabachi committed severe writing errors while the memes shone a spotlight at it, it'd crash and burn easily. Remember, the memes were laughing at it for being generic, but the fans were converted when it was competent.
Otr of the Flame? I'll talk about it later. But it would be pointless to debate the east and west reception at a stage where nothing has happened yet. Whether it's better or worse than Red Hood is irrelevant: what really matters is that it doesn't commit the same mistakes. And Red Hood's errors began at Chapter 2.
Nue is somehow one of these fun harems where everyone is aware of the heroine's feelings and this makes up for many of these fun interactions. Hilarious scenarios like Kazusa's mom trying to push her daughter's romance are even greater when the main character actually understands there's a love war going around him. The callbacks prove how this manga already managed to have some iconic moments already in 2 years, it's truly a celebration of the chaotic fun of Nue's Exorcist.
