Alya sometimes hides her feelings in Russian

9 fucking LNs

over 2k total pages

no confession

she literally only just found out he speaks russian in vol 9

What is the fucking point if it takes this fucking long? ILTV did its main fucking story in 2 LNs with similar lengths. I can read multiple novels for this investment. And barely anything happens aside from some cutesy moments every now and again?

You need to ask LN fans

>over 2k total pages

zoomers are a lost cause

Nigger stop being a fucking retard. That's sizeable for a novel. Nevermind a fucking LN about a highschool romance with such a basic fucking premise. Probably the type of retard who didn't think Komi dragged on despite it having fucking 500 chapters for an equally as base premise. The text is smaller print but I could read fucking les miserables for the same amount of effort of consuming this.

What do the reviews say about the never ending elections?

You're not supposed to read it all in one sitting, bingescum

What is the fucking point if it takes this fucking long?

This is why I dropped it half-way through ep. 1
Many such cases.
You should learn to spot them. it isn't difficult.

she literally only just found out he speaks russian in vol 9

I'm surprised she finds out at all. Any publisher would force the writer to push that to fucking volume 20 right before ending it.

Russian propaganda

First romcom?
Because that's literally standard for romcoms that have not been axed.

База.

Is this your first romcom? This shit always happens. They drag that shit on forever. At the end you get some weird fucking non-conformation confession. Nips seem to love that shit, considering how often it happens. I certainly don't.

But why are the elections still going?

that dirty girls gets her ass soiled in gross stair filth
vermin

Read visual novels if you want real romance where there is actual progress, LNs and manga are for teasing and dragging shit where nothing ever happens and once it happens it gets axed

If it's popular then they can milk it until it stops bringinig them money

"Прекращай кушать слоп.", Alya says.

when will you people learn that the japanese can't write romance? with some minor modifications your post could literally be used as a template for other romcoms.

Soon to be 10

she literally only just found out he speaks russian in vol 9

This is a lie

oh shit, it works.

cccp.jpg - 850x1133, 120.64K

A lingering remnant of the Heisei era that coasts off its artist.

OP finding out most serialized stories, particularly LNs, are forced dragged out to keep selling new volumes.

Fuck off, the average real novel is about 50 - 100k words

She looks extra cute there. Urge to pick up rising.

The original foundation trilogy is only 712 pages..... I doubt there are any world shaping events happening in Alyas LN's.

Every non-fantasy romcom should last no longer than 4 volumes without MC dating someone. Makeine should've had Anna being plapped daily by now as well.

9 books and only 2k pages? Is this actually for kids?

You know with how old the iPad is there are probably millions of zoomer anons on here right now who have never held a physical book

That's what the "light" means, LNs are short novels you read in the subway

2k pages

That's twice the length of Lord of the Rings and it isn't even finished yet.

I am not a big reader, but my favourite book is not even 200 pages, is from the 19th century it features theme of patriotism and political disillusionment that can still reasonate with people here, a character that tries to make up his growing disillusion in living in freedom as he witness his country being politically and graphically dismembered he seeks confort within nature and people but over the course of the story he find himself at odds with what seem an inevitable destiny, an impossible love, an uncaring society that is too caught up in its own traditions, the pain of living as an intellectual that has been shown through enlightment a vision of what society could be and find himself alone, toward the end even at odds with Nature itself which now appear dangerous and malicious, (one of the many recurring themes in his poetics).
Is called the last letters of Jacopo Ortis, the book I got puts it all in just 135 pages.

Also another quick comparison Lord of the Rings, the trilogy I got is around 1K pages I think, I would have to go and find it to be sure.
What is the writer doing to pad out such a small story?

This thread's getting too funny
Someone's going to have to post an illustrative example to show these paper virgins what a "page" looks like

Just the third book of Ice and Fire series is about 800 pages

words are the same as pages

You can't even read a Anon Babble post properly so I don't think you're reading a lot of books.

LNs are usually really small books so word count would be a more useful metric than page numbers

no confession

why are you surprised? this is typical of LNslop, at least mangakas feel the pressure to get to a climax at some point

The "axe" is a necessary evil to maintain quality.

You're still not getting the joke lol
Also a lot of boys ITT breaking their mother's heart if Lord of the Rings is their example of an impenetrable epic and not the Bible

Half of romance manga shit the bed after the confession and the othe half end after it.

unfortunately some manga are so popular that they're immune to the axe

s-l1200.png - 802x1200, 1.21M

This garbage never had quality to begin win

Chizuru's fat tits and ass are all the quality it needed, then Ruka came along

It's 220~ pages per novel, seems pretty standard to me

it's a shame there's probably never going to be a second season for the anime
the dude who's writing the LN obviously is catering to some publisher or something to keep milking that shit without any confession

I hate when shit just runs on and on and on without any direction

adolescents are horny as fuck

was literally announced tho

Manga and LNs could learn a lot from good movies, where things are setup and have a pay off.
If you have a series that is 100+ or 200+ chapters long and your ending feels rushed, to me it might mean you weren't properly planning things out, the seeds that would allow the reader to fill the gaps have not been planted.
There is so much conflict that comes after a relationship, too many writers that fail to explore that, I also don't find so many of these so called "romcoms" to have much romanticism at all.
Except in Japan lel.

that character design looks grotesque
literally the only good thing about this shit series is that the anime exists and Doga Kobo did it, huh

Alya

ILTV

Damn bro. Have you tried reading a good romance?

It's simply the Japanese literature overall. Japs can't into plots and stories. They come up with the name of a new anime / manga / novel and stick to it until publisher will stop ordering the new volumes. What happened in the last volume of Alya? Alya still sometimes flirts in Russian.

Дурашка.

>ILTV

What is that?

ILTV is an Israeli news-based television channel that produces and broadcasts daily news and other content from Israel in English for a global audience.
Jokes aside, it's short for I'm In Love with the Villainess or wataoshi. It's a bottom of the barrel yuri that's on par with most Anon Babble trash

the only good romance fiction Japs have made in the past 30 years

Even pornhwas have better plots than manga

45711490.png - 900x1280, 1.24M

so it's announced but no release
that's the thing, it feels like it's constantly building up and then the payoff is either lukewarm or people hate it
just look at Oshi No Ko
No need to call me a fool, baka.
but I get it, money flow is nice when you got a series that's well liked/desired

Damn I loved ReLife.
Shit made me wish I could go through the same thing.

no confession

wrong.

she literally only just found out he speaks russian in vol 9

also wrong.

its almost like you didnt read the books and have no idea what you're talking about.

kys as soon as possible, please.

kys

kill yourself

ew, dont (you) me you ugly retarded illiterate freak

No need to call me a fool, baka.

but I didn't

Masha > Alya > imouto shit

SURE BUCKO

heh.gif - 400x400, 1.17M

how can she confess if she did not win the elections yet

Yuki should win

What drink is she holding? She's looking very smug with it in her hands, so it should have some narrative significance. Did he buy it for her?

the cuck contest.

Just knew someone would mention this. But for every Rent a Gf, there's 20 romcoms that know when to call it quits and reach an ending.

What is a culture of man?

Masha is literally just a compromise character because the author is a baka and couldn't wrap his head around Alya being the promise girl and knowing that Masachika can understand him but Masachika not knowing that Alya knows

this post contains intentional spoilers

If you want romance then read romance, the more genres you add to the mix the more diluted each gets

Japanese stories usually follow a different structure from western ones, instead of building up towards a climax that solves the conflict they build up towards a twist that recontextualize things and a somewhat open end

couldn't wrap his head around Alya being the promise girl and knowing that Masachika can understand him but Masachika not knowing that Alya knows

Sounds convoluted. So what does Masha do with that open situation?

it has a drawn page and everything, which you'd know if you even read the books, hmm?

its her favorite drink, a red bean drink. its brought up multiple times in the story, actually. its actually a nice touch that this simple anime key visual is more thought out than you have the capability to understand, hmm?

the very first book actually foreshadows masha's part in the story which pays off 5 volumes later. the author actually isnt the baka here, hmm?

if jannies cared about that rule at all then they'd do something about the shameless screencap spam bots that make seasonal threads unusable until you personally have seen the latest episode

Something only men can have a grasp of. You clearly don't get it.

I don't mind LNs dragging things out if it's cute. But holy fuck is the student council shit boring.

she's looks way too much like this bitch here, but with silver hair and a gaijin

Masha would then be a support character like every other love interest's older sister
All he did was set up that there was a promise girl, which anyone can do because it's actually a bad thing if you give anything in the way of personally identifiable information about the character because you'd ruin the reveal

actually. its actually a nice touch that this simple anime key visual is more thought out than you have the capability to understand, hmm?

Yes, it is. I should watch it to understand the show now and the nuance in the key visual.

What's the real size of Alya's cups?

because the retarded author spent way too much time with gay ass stupid election drama
the first episodes were comfy romcom and all that drama ruined the show completely

popularity ≠ quality

I didn't like the anime because Alya wasn't sassy enough and didn't really differ from a standard anime romcom waifu.

Too bad Japs would've been too much scared of such Alya, but alas.

And showed us cute will always beat sexy.

sorry bud, chizuru is still #1

Your first light novel?
The thing about anime is they trim the bloat, some aren't so happy when they do this but everyone who isn't a source reader are thankful for it.

you're the only dumbass that complains about the election drama. you're so fucking stupid you alongside all the redditors here couldn't even see how Yuki was the antagonist of the first season.

I love this slut

Couldn't you pick a more representative image for your ritual post? Who cares about a sweaty midget drinking water?

Can I just go on record saying russkis who can speak English but choose to say things to themselves in Russian knowing you can't understand are fucking annoying and not cute?
They generally raise their voices in public spaces, too, knowing that nobody can't understand them, apparently thinking that's why people don't speak loud in public rather than it being fucking rude and annoying.

Which is another reason why it makes no narrative sense for Alya to not know that Masachika can understand her and author-kun somehow got lost
Why is it public knowledge that he wanted to write an isekai about a girl transported to a world where nobody except for (You) can speak her language and she has to rely on you to live? That's super easy to wrap your head around, if creepy, so he must truly be a baka and I don't know why he'd admit that. Also isn't that basically Welcome to Japan, Elf-san?
