What was the most boring anime you've ever watched?

Why didn't you like the visuals? I thought some characters had ugly/weird faces sometimes but i thought it was purposeful and to make it scary

Nichijou is very special to me, i watched it during a quite hard moment of my life and it always made me feel very comfortable in a weird way, i don't know how to explain, it made me feel like a child again

too complex and it varies every time i watch it, which is part of why i like it. there's so many different ways to interpret it that i can watch it over and over and get something new from it every time. i suggest paying attention to the color symbolism in order to understand it from a certain angle. for instance, the color red could be taken to represent corporate encroachment, with how all of the technology is red in the show (at least in episode one the mailman delivering lain's new navi is in red, lain's old navi is also red, as well as the mobile devices they carry.) it is important to me on personal levels too, which i dont want to get into.

Nichijou is very special to me

i get that, that's me with any of my favorite cgdct. hidamari sketch especially i watched during my friendless high school days (especially grade 11 and 12 where i didn't talk to anybody for pretty much the entire school years) and the characters in that anime felt like my real friends and made living bearable

Texhnolyze's lulls are an absolute slog, and after a point Juno Reactor was the only thing that kept me going to the each following episode. Things plod along at a geriatric pace, its turd-esque color scheme and dead-eyed cast makes gang warfare, rape and body horror feel like a chore, and by the time shit starts to go down you are struggling to not cheer for sweet release. The people on the surface were right, Yoshi was the only human being left in this stupid show.

Very immersive, really makes you feel like you're living in that setting. 8/10

It depends on the context but taking in count Nichijou entire purpose is to make you laugh and it failed at doing so, I guess I go for Nichijou.

I understand, i watched nichijou in a moment i felt very lonely too, the characters didn't felt like my real friends but all the cute moments just made me forget about the hard things in life, it's weird to explain, i just felt like a child watching their favorite cartoon after a long boring day

No joke. Watched like 10 episodes hoping it would grow on me, but it just felt shallow the whole way through.

both of them are pretty similar. only difference is that in city the characters are spread across the entire... city, instead of just the same high school like in nichijou. the main character is in college and constantly in debt to her landlord, which is a funny concept so i guess you could say i like it more.

this one is bareable if you speed it up to 2x

shinsekai yori. The characters were so bland that when they all forgot the name of one of their classmates, I realized that I forgot their name too. Then the show throws a gay sex scene in for shock value.

S;G surprised me the most with how bland it was. I really thought they were coming up with an interesting time travel story and it ended up being a big nothing. You could read All You Need is Kill years ago and get a better experience.
