If anything scanlators need to distance themselves from this place as Anon Babble has been losing 100k ppd per year for like 5 years now and much of manga discussion here is hipsters who have an active disdain for the medium. Anon Babble has very much become a negative force towards anime and manga, and it's likely time to look to the future and restructure where people go to discuss things. Where that will ultimately be I don't know, but it won't be here. Mangadex has never been a good place to find manga, the concern trolling over this only highlights how antiquated this place has become. People write these cute little posts on altchans on where to find manga and anime and it reads like something that would have been outdated 20 years ago. Chans have become incredibly insular and it's a serious problem, much greater than mangadex biting the dust.

I said ages ago not to use mangadex here and to use comick and weebcentral instead, and got called a "newfag" for it. Mangadex has always taken things down when slapped with a DMCA, it was only a matter of time. And these sites are far from the best place to find manga to begin with, they are simply the most readily available and straightforward. The second a place where I can actually discuss manga appears I am leaving these shitholes forever. There are these huge decaying corpses occupying the space where something new can occur, and all these orbiting aggregate sites full of poseurs that read like 1 manga a year. I suspect things will be very different 10 years from now with the rate everything is falling apart.

Anon Babble is actually a really bad place to post your scans unless it's one of the few series with a big homegrown following like iruma-kun or bokuyaba

Issue is that often they’re bad quality or have watermarks. Good enough for reading, but terrible for scanlation. I prefer to buy and rip myself.
