Posting the rape horse alone doens't do justice for the scene because when you are reading and you flip the page, the next one is Griffith raping casca and the page flows down to Guts face. It masterfully done to represent his ptsd. Frieren is such a sterile, soulless manga. I remember reading the manga when it was fairly new, but I dropped it quickly because I didn't really think it was that good and the manga is so lifeless. I'd never think the anime would be that great, but it did surprisingly well. This is one of those series that's single-handedly carried by a good director and key animator.
