To Be Hero X

You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.
Or both. It's Trust. We don't gotta explain shit.

who' that black esoul, i don't watch the promos

Next week we'll finally be getting on to a real hero.

There are people who are misunderstanding what happened. The two did not merge, it's just that Yang basically robbed all the trust because OG E-soul is no more.

Superpower: Autotune

I'm already a Cyan hater because her song sucked

She doesn't speak in Autotune.

Missed an opportunity, these things are always funny.

Remember, we're still like 5 years before Ling Ling's arc.
The description for Treeman says that it was founded by the son of an MG executive. That's almost certainly meant to reference Shang Chao, with his dad then leaving MG and carrying on the agency.
That'd explain why Treeman's only got the #10 spot, they're the newest and are more of a rising group spearheaded by ruthless promotional tricks.
Very likely that daddy Shang knows about the dark underbelly of MG. Where that'll lead is anyone's guess at this point.

Interesting thing though, they made a video for Treeman group during Nice's arc, showing how they're not just a hero agency but also a bunch of other businesses: youtube.com/watch?v=V7blFmO3F8Y
I wonder if we're going to get one for MG eventually too.

E-Soul lore and kids' theater actor requirements.

Process stuff

They're all evil although I expect a general corpo war at some point.

I don't see how FOMO will be evil. Really just feels like some young upstart that knows how to use social media and fucks around with it. His heroes are female Iron Man and a fucking dog.

Because the CEO of Fomo, the boy, participates in the chess game with other CEOs. so I'm skeptical about them too.

You think she's out of the show for good or do you think we'll see her more grown up later?

1200[1].jpg - 1200x675, 67.36K

He probably invented Nice since Nice basically looks like Shang Chao with different eye/hair color. Wouldn't be surprised if Treeman and MG are already secretly at war with each other

We won't see her until she changes her name to Moon and gets shot.

In this Show you CAN actually make these theories and hypotheses because the authors pay a lot of attention to detail and things don't happen at random.

it's quite refreshing.

She got a taste of X's big finger snap

If she's truly so Lucky, does that mean she will get pregnant 100% of the time or 0% of the time?

I watched this shit back like in 2016, when does the fat fuck oji-san shows up?

cause it's from Lucky Cyan.

Does Anon Babble prefer the Lin Ling arc or the Yang Cheng arc?

I think she's out of the show for this season at the very. I think this season will be nothing but introductions and then the next season will be dedicated to the proper battle royale.

E Soul killed her though

no idea.

6776.png - 1136x510, 671.15K

Most of Anon Babble don't even know that they are missing the real anime of the season.

I like Lin Ling's arc overall more, but Lin Ling's arc was more uplifting especially with Episode 4 and I found Lin Ling more fun to follow. Yang's arc is just outright miserable with what goes on and ends horribly for everyone except Rock.
I do appreciate that Yang's arc really does showcase how fucked up the entire trust system is.

that's not cyan enough to be the moon killer bolt

I liked Ling arc more, both in terms of characters and events. Yang has its moments and is still a necessary arc to show the other side of the coin.

Hard to say since I don't think E-Soul's arc would have been nearly as impactful if we didn't see Ling Ling's arc beforehand. E-Soul's story is clearly meant as a foil to Nice's. With Nice, the hero overcame the image he was replacing and became his own person. With E-Soul, the hero fell to the machinations of the corporation and ended up a puppet inhabiting the image he was replacing.

Look up her character trailer, that song isn't vocaloid.

What about Hero X? Is he even real?

no sponsors, no company.

X is independent which is why he's so dangerous

Wait so is he even real? I heard that every time the animation changes you hear X snapping his fingers. But how is he just #1 and nothing is known?

Nobody knows but from the PV alone, maybe the consequence he has to bare from fighting Zero? A curse?

Wait so is he even real?

He is

people prefer lin one but personally i like yang one more.first arc seems to be corny but with great visuals second is just more human

He's real I've seen his onlyfans.

He's real, Ahu a fucking dog became a hero solely because X saved him and then he got credit for beating the villain that was about to kill him.

Was that 6 min PV the dog's actual origin story? I assumed that Ahu was already a hero here and they were working together as a duo for a mission in that trailer. Because otherwise, him already wearing that necktie prior to his "human" shape-shifting persona is strange. Also, that girl in the hospital seemed to help him develop his hero status, but she wasn't present in that longer PV.

I guess that villain was a big deal, and one of the real ones out there, since most of them are just actors pretending.

Her songs were good though, no one is jumping on your contrarian bandwagon

I think that incident we see in the PV is what boosted Ahu's rating over what made him into a hero. I don't think they were working together but it was just a case of X was in the area.

but it was just a case of X was in the area.

Doesn't seem like a coincidence that he was there. Look at the beginning of the trailer, specifically at the watch, as it was set on a timer. As soon as you see the watch, pause the video and skip ahead to exactly to the number shown + watch's appearance (I think it was 4:34min+ 10 sec?) and you'll see that the fight had just concluded and X switches back to his salaryman persona.
All this to say, X had planned this from the beginning. It wasn't a coincidence.

that incident we see in the PV is what boosted Ahu's rating over what made him into a hero

But then people's perception would be that the dog can make his enemies into wall art. And Ahu didn't inherit that power. There's no evidence of anyone discovering this. Though admittedly, that could have inspired Ahu to become a hero, which is why he met the girl and saved her(?).

There's no evidence of anyone discovering this.

There is but not specifically making the wall art part. It was revealed during his character PV at the press conference where they said he defeated the enemies that X defeated who were notorious for their crime. They asked did he really defeat them and he said.

There's only been 2 times you hear the snap.
First time was when the animation changed while Nice was fighting Wreck. Second time was this episode when the E-Soul fight starts.

We don't know what's up with X. He just apparently showed up and shot up the ranks while having no agency and keeping his real identity secret. We'll need to wait and see what's going on with him, but he's definitely a real person. And he does still have brand deals like "XFC" we saw in Episode 4, so maybe he just acts as his own agent at times too.

Samefag, but I just watched it again, X didn't turn back to his salary man persona, but he did conclude his fight right at that second and didn't seem to use his power from that point forward (ie. could've avoided being splashed with soda but didn't do anything about it and hats stayed in 3D space).
You could be correct on that. Though, I thought it just being an event Ahu recalled what made him want to become a hero rather than it being the trigger to his popularity and hero status. Otherwise, I'm just preplexed where the hospitalised girl would fit into the picture.

I remember it being said that Queen's dad was X at one point but I didn't see it in her PV. Was I remembering wrong?

That was The Johnnies. Not Queen.

that was Johnny.
Queen wants to become X to impose her beliefs into the world and create "Order".

It's the protagonist of the arc. The MC gets manipulated into fighting and killing the OG E-Soul. The PV appears to take place right before the fight, with OG E-Soul contemplating his life and thinking "Yeah this time I might really die."

He's a wagie anon, like any random anon you could find here.

I feel the Yang Cheng arc needed an extra episode, this one felt a bit rushed near the end.

Speaking of music, why the fuck does this show have so many bangers?
PARAGON, INERTIA, JEOPARDY, New Type of Hero...

kid's just sitting there like L

It's only going to get worse for him since he's only got one of the last couple episodes, no?

Don't worry the best characters always get the least screentime.

First time was when the animation changed while Nice was fighting Wreck.

It's interesting how Lin Ling became a hero all on his own, while as Nice he needed help from X.
I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out that Lin Ling's existence was even outside of X's expectations.

He seems to be tied to X, who's pretty popular on his own. Plus, as this arc has shown, not every hero's arc boosts the character in a major way. So there's still hope for Ahu to climb up the rankings. Though, it's impossible for him to be #1.

He has a fried chicken sponsor. In episode 2 or 3 there was an "XFC" sign in the background that was supposed to be KFC.

that was Johnny.

His dad in the OP along with the other heroes who were previously X

Neon Rain was one of my favorites. So glad it was released. Now to wait months for Scar to release

My nigga Nice was so far gone with his Mr. Perfect persona he couldn't even show sadness and despair while commiting an hero

I thought it just being an event Ahu recalled what made him want to become a hero

I thought so, too until they revealed the name of the gang was in fact the one in the first pv

it's impossible for him to be #1.

you just have to believe enough... enough to outvote the chinks

If it was Japanese I could read it but I dont know the Chinese to make an account.

The cowboy pair doesn't seem X material by a long shot, just a pair of jobbers from a random X tournament

Still wonder who the fuck is that last guy with the inverted colours. Because from what I remember, the only other character I can think that has an inverted colour scheme is Zero. Obviously, they look too different from one another to be the same person, but the colour scheme is still suspicious.

Zero looks too different to Zero

?

The sheer size of the chink fanbase compared to the overseas fanbases combined is too great. Also doesn't help that you need a BilliBilli account to even vote, something that most overseas viewers won't have. I am not optimistic about it.

Anon, go watch the E-Soul trailer again. Zero took that form late into their fight.
The look he had at the start of the video is presumably how he looked normally, but when he went off the deep end he turned literally negative.

Zero.jpg - 2009x855, 156.58K

Man, I am really forgetful, huh? For some reason, I thought zero was more muscular and had too short of a hair to transform like that. I just remembered his colour scheme and that's it.

It's just about how he changes from hero to villain. Whatever happened to him turned him into an absolute monster.

Which makes it very curious as to what they mean by having X in the opening turn into the evil version of Zero for one frame in the middle of his snap.

Zero Before.jpg - 2001x867, 159.39K

I need to learn a new language and doxx myself to the CCP to vote

I'm so fucking sorry ghostguy but you're on your own

Whoa what's Connie doing in my superhero show?

file.png - 300x450, 223.21K

What being a wagie does to a nigga

Well, the new language part is wrong since there's an English and Japanese version of the entire voting site. But yes, you have to give personal info to BiliBili to vote.
