Shitdex's impending death was already known since August last year

You DID prepare accordingly and learn moon in the interim, right?

In a 5-second Google search, you can find 5 Spanish-language websites that have everything you need, so why would I care about Shitdex?

No, I learned mokn yesterday afternoon. Shit was easy, you're all faggots.

found a new (far better) source in a matter of minutes

mass migrated all my content to it

wow that was fucking hard

Spanish TLs

Ok but what if you want to read an accurate version of the story that isn't half-fanfic written by some N6 spic using Google TL?

yeah, i know it so i can't really relate to the non-speakers freaking about the mangapocalypse

learn moon

Not the issue, retard.

learn japanese

raws that arent compressed to shit dont exist, tons of stuff is just not uploaded at all

cant buy them because every site in japan blocks non-jp ip addresses snd payment methods

thanks...

I wonder what scanlation group was he referring to? Galaxy Scans?

Yes the issue, you can find raws much easier than trying to track down a decent TL, or you know, buy them.

Why can't Kim just invade the South already?

what if you want to read an accurate version of the story

then you never read translations

half-fanfic written by some N6 spic using Google TL?

exactly the same as mangadex

see

spanish

who the literal fuck asked?

Good. Now I have an excuse to forever neglect my backlog

found a new (far better) source in a matter of minutes

Could you share?

Learn moon AND get a job

Using trannydex

Do newfags really?

gooks ruin everything. no one even likes manhua. whatever future aggregators pop up after dex falls i hope they block this korean garbage

He's lying. There are alternatives but none of them is better than MD, let alone far better.

Then buy paper if you care about quality and it's a good mango and the digital sucks, much nicer experience too.

Madokami is dead, oldfag-sama.

no. spoonfeeding is for fags and gatekeeping is important, as we can see with mangadex. what i'll tell you is to unironically use google and check reddit. something something rule 4 and/or megathread that include sites that bring you to the target

we go through this every few years, another one will just take its place.

already happened. straight up saw a scanlator group that already changed their source, or made a mention of it in their credits page

try bookwalker.jp

Not really, it just closed off its doors to filthy zoomers like (You).

spoonfeeding is for fags and gatekeeping is important

use google and check reddit

If you can find it on reddit, what is the point of gatekeeping in the first place?

Kakao

Every time. Fuck manhwa garbage.

This isn't the first time Mangadex got culled.
You'd know that if you weren't 5 years old then.

you would be surprise how many people ask about a mangadex replacement on reddit, even tho the solution is right fucking there on the board they're asking the question to
what people want is a "here is the answer: direct link", not for someone to go "look at this rule, there is a link, open it, then look through it, find another link for a big write up, then go and find your favorite new manga source."

Comick already got censorship problem

mangadex was the the only place on the internet with scanlated manga

are zoomers really so tech-illiterate?

And lower image quality.

This. Faggots and retards all cry about MD being shit, and with good reason since the HOMBRE incident, the staff is barely competent and at time were insuferable faggots, but most of the idiots complaining did so because they are retards that could not follow some simple rules and got banned. Alternatives exist, some far better than the others, but no one got to the same level of polish MD managed to achieve despite being incompetent.

truly the worst of ALL of the other available source, of which here are many better than this one.

Sincerelly, right now. From what I know, only thing we have is Bato.to

bato is equally garbage, have even less than the other thing people mention

Scan groups

Guessing Galaxy Scans then.
Luckily I mostly read yuri and the market for that is so small most of the sites I go on for it have publishers who don't give a shit.

Batoto is shit, they have content policies. Weebcentral and Comick are less retarded in that regard.

dumb content policies

Is what I meant to say.

My madokami account still werks

I wonder what scanlation group was he referring to? Galaxy Scans?

Reaper Scans would be my guess. They took them down a little while ago.

gawr gura graduation

huh, isn't she the biggest vtuber ever

I don't give a shit, all the newly released stuff is garbage and I read all the good stuff already

gigantic WHORE spotted

said the gatchatard

Yes and no. She was first to break the 1 million subs on Youtube, but she streamed like once every 4 months.

If you remember, bato.to being absolute shit is why MangaDex was started in the first place.

Unfortunately those are just mere aggregators. Bato.to has at least some scanlation support.

Yeah, but right now, it's probably only one site that allows upload.

So now will these faggots stop trying to host Korean/Chinese shit on every manga pirate site?
It's clearly a major liability at this point.

Cierto, pero es mejor leer manga en japonés

Isekaikiddie spotted

The huge traffic boost is too tempting.

try to garner the chink and gook audience with shit quality webtoons

get DMCA'd

Hopefully the next dominant manga aggregator actually sticks to manga.

si

cant buy them because every site in japan blocks non-jp ip addresses snd payment methods

This is just blatant lying especially if you can read moon

***Scans

not ***Cake

This is entirely about protecting the ip of manga copyright holders. Show a little force every once in a while and will be discouraged. They are not aiming to stop people from reading scans altogether just nip it in the bud before it gets too big.

Who is reading gookbooks? What is the appeal of them? Never in my life have I wanted to read a "manwha" but here they are in every manga site.

Chinks and gooks.

If you care about traffic on your pirate site, you're fucking retarded and deserve to get sued into the fucking dirt.

I'm avoiding these threds because 99.99% of time they mean nothing, but what's with this kind of statement, how does this affect the other 20 manga pages out there?

No, surely I will be the one that gets away with it this time!

I get the sentiment but where have you been for the last couple of years? Almost everything you read is either translated from spanish or MTL.

No he’s not not lying I just looked for the same amount of time (+1 minute more) and found an even better site than he did!

so it was the gooks fault?q

I really regret losing my Madokami account

WHY do they add manwha shit to MANGA sites/apps, etc? Why don't they have their OWN thing.

Any manga website that allows posting of gooktoons must be reported to DMCA companies until they learn their lesson.

HOMBRE. Now we just need another attack on this site. All is well in the world.

I was talking to someone recently saying they thought it was stupid to even separate anime/manga from western animation and comics. I imagine there are people who think the same about Chinese and Korean stuff. For some reason some people don't see enough of a difference between them to warrant separation. Even if some people involved want the separation.

Why does this lie get repeated so often?
Is it just EOPs trying to justify their retardation or pirates that will never pay for anything?

So none of this would have happened if they didnt put manhwas/webtoons on the website? Fucking lmao

They're trying to latch onto manga/anime because the American, Korean, and Chinese equivalents aren't as good.

I'm so tired. Why can't all the copyright kikes just drop dead?

They want to ride the coattails of manga.
It's that simple.

Based.
I hope this goes out as a warning to other sites that allowing gook and chink shit on your MANGA site brings nothing but trouble.

And it's about to get worse if you live in America. Two different Site blocking bills are on the horizon and nobody is talking about them.

Are you incapable of understanding that your own personal views/preferences do not match those of the general populace, regardless of whether their tastes are good or not?

N-no there aren't.

Was the koreanslop worth it?

Ru and sp are good sources of sharing sites since they couldn't care less about dmca, they usually include english for us en weebs

H.R. 791: Foreign Anti-Digital Piracy Act

American Copyright Protection Act

It only took 14 years.

no hentai allowed on comick.

It's over for Ameribros

VPNs can handle that, right?

Many series are not up to date, it is absolutely dead.

Next up: Protect America From VPN Terrorism Act

Shut the FUCK up.

Download everything you can while you can.

You're telling me it all started because of webtoonshit ? Damn, anon were right, any website with this shit should be avoided like the plague.

Don't really care about mangadex that much but my fav site died too, many places are dying, this is pretty much global
Some manga you just can't buy here and I'm gonna have to wait a lot to finish them
This sucks, I don't really watch anime anymore and because I don't much much free time manga is the best form of escapism to me

webtoon

Now I'm pissed
We are in the dark ages of the internet

nhentai and other trash sites are a thing for that gooner

Anon Babble has been warning Mangadex for years to ban gookshit from their website but the Mangadex staff never listened

This is just blatant lying especially if you can read moon

Both bookwalker and kobo are easy to make an account on, and only restriction I've noticed is that you can't buy magazines older than 3 months without a VPN.
Honestly weird restriction I've got to admit.

Even after seeing Kakao sending copyright takedown notices to Github, Mangadex still allowed webtoon crap and pretended they would not be next after Github

Yeah I learned Japanese in 9 months of course I did who wouldn't who couldn't
Now that I learned Japanese I just have to download get my scans from uhhhm... let's see dl-zip say... Rapidgator to read? Uh oh

Yeah no learning Japanese isn't a replacement for mangadex

They do it like every seven eight years or so. Mangahelpers in 2010, Batoto in 2018, and Mangadex now in 2025. Most likely they'll purge and DMCA the next hub in 2032, which coincidentally is the same year support for windows 10 iot ltsc runs out.

Oh yeah I forgot about this. Damn they werent kidding

Biggest issue with manhwa and manhua is that they're even more generic and unoriginal than manga, they reuse stock resources and effects and stuff like that like that castle that's in every single fantasy manhwa, and they are in general just garbage.

The bigger problem is that longstrip is a fucking horrendous format for comics.

Yeah, I can't stand it. Comics that are meant to be read on phones like that are just awful.

Until raws get a decent pirate scene there's no point learning Japanese.

b-but just BUY them!!!

I shan't. Japanese people get manga cafes, libraries, and many other free or discounted resources to read manga; gaijin don't. Nobody in their right mind buys books they haven't already read, the same applies to manga.

things are starting to get better now that japan is finally starting to adapt to digital publishing 15 years behind the rest of the world as always.

When you see the same series adapted to both formats it's so obvious how much worse it is.

I wish people would use Anon Babble for scanlation distribution

all this shit could be solved if japan just enacted payment processor neutrality laws. japanese politicians threatening it has caused visa and mastercard to back down before since not being able to do any business in japan at all is worse than letting the japs buy their pornography.

Nah you're very wrong

yeah, the bill would make it so american ISPs block access to designated foreign piracy sites. so a VPN would bypass it

Of course.
I haven't read a single translated manga in 5 years.

I'd rather have my eyes gouged than to read manga in that "language".

Does it specify the technical details for the block? In my cunt they block tons of shit but they're just doing DNS blocks, so basically no one gives a fuck.

When I read manga I would buy things based on the cover. Just check to see if the art was good sometimes. In the physical store they’re often wrapped with plastic.

In the physical store they’re often wrapped with plastic.

Isn't that mostly just Kodansha? The small volumes? Everything else I've imported weren't wrapped in plastic.

Nobody in their right mind buys books they haven't already read

???

Why people insist on hosting those shitty ass webtoons in first place?

haman.jpg - 960x720, 128.05K

I don’t remember the name of the place there’s usually a book store by the train station. If you have kinokuniya in your country they’re always wrapped up

its funny as shit when they get uploaded in batches and all the names/covers/main characters look the same

There's also some retards who call certain comics and cartoons made in the west "anime/manga".

and only restriction I've noticed is that you can't buy magazines older than 3 months without a VPN.

Which and where? There's magazines that get delisted quickly so you can only buy the last two or three issues in some cases but that's unrelated to IP. Some other magazines have all digital issues available. The most common seems to be to keep the last year available for purchase. Once you bought them you'll be able to read them even when they get delisted from the store.
Bookwalker will block you from browsing the TL, BL and R18 sections and hide some soft-ero titles. But as a tradeoff you don't have to pay the 10% sales tax that Japanese IPs have to pay.

they're specifically deciding to leave out specific measures for blocking, instead leaving it up to service providers to figure out the best way to comply with court orders.

Do you guys not use amazon japan? I never heard of bookwalker

So that you don't buy a damaged book. Ask an employee if you can see a sample.

I'd rather look at compressed pictures than read someone's fanfic.

Browsing manga on Amazon is less than ideal, the store isn't really built around that. You can't really see what magazines are included in Kindle Unlimited either. Kindle also limits the resolution to x1920 which will be an issue if the publishers use higher resolutions like x2048.
Bookwalker is more convenient in those regards.

closed off its doors

he doesn't know

Dude I got in a few months ago.
Doesn't change the fact that it's dead for all purposes other than as a historical archive of manga up to a certain date that won't get updated

I mostly use kobo since it's easier to rip from.

Temptation leads to ruin.
Look at Dynasty-Scans. Still as strong as ever. No publisher could touch it in the past 22 years

korea is to modern teens what japan was to millennial weebs

korea was huge with millennial weebs too
the billions of kmmos, the first big international wave of kpop, a bunch of manhwa was even published in the west by tokyopop, and the percieved decline of anime with this "lolita" and "moe" fixation
in fact i remember the exact same doomposting about korea leaving japan in the dust in like 2003

Free reading sites are open to foreigners for the largest part,e.g. manga.nicovideo.jp/
E-book stores will include the first pages as samples and occasionally you can get whole volumes for free.
If you're already a familiar with a series you can purchase further volumes without having to know the content beforehand. Check reviews if you're worried about bad developments.
Many will buy magazines and then purchase series they like to support them or series they haven't read but that look interesting.

Do it was the fact that they josted korean shit. Literally cannot say I didn't warn them

the first time i realized korean pop culture was mainstream culture was that youtube rewind where they go

you know what this is missing? K-pop!

that was around the same time as manhwa getting massively popular due to a tapas/webtoons shilling campaign in 2017/2018, and of course solo leveling which started in the mid-late 10s, but by that point even as a young millineal i was already well into my 20s

everything disappeared

THE FUCKING HELL?!
