BOOBA

Fuck D

what killed the hype?

Was there even a thread for the last 2 eps?

The pacing was bad before, but the story is unintelligible now. Is this how Promised Neverlandfags felt?

Is not as bad as Promised Neverland, but still super rushed.

A shame, the IRA arc was my favorite arc, to think they will rush it in four episodes makes me sad. I'll keep watching the show due to Death Messiah, but my hype is practically gone.

Only way to salvage it is if Death Messiah does a meta commentary on how bad the adaptation is. Not likely though, instead he'll make reference to foreshadowing that got cut

That would make the anime a 10/10 in my book.

This wouldn't be so rushed if Nino had won

Either her or Miku would've saved Ranger's runtime..
Fucking Shitsuturd killed Negi's career.

Am I the only one actually enjoying this show?

completely glossing over the fact that the rangers had a TV series BEFORE the invaders became a reality under the newer rangers, D doesn't even say anything about it in the anime

yakushi doesn't mention his favorite episode of the tokusatsu series

don't include D's conversation with imprisoned hisui where she says that he seems more comfortable on the side of the IRA than with her

don't include angel's conversation with imprisoned hisui where she takes credit for guiding peltrola to the IRA and saying that hisui shouldn't worry about her anymore because she's "already a monster"

don't even include the executives' conversation about reviving death messiah before yakushi makes his move

fuck dude papa usukubo would be so disappointed, they are completely gutting every instance of foreshadowing
at least the IRA/keepers confrontation scene was adapted well, but they used that fuckass evil clown music for when yakushi got his hand ripped off by sousei and then DON'T EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE IT BEFORE YAKUSHI GREETS THE MASSES

Tiktok tier pacing

use that one unique suiting-up track for chidori's reveal

never use another unique song outside of the 4 mandated tracks from the season 1 OST afterward

Masterful gambit.

I am lovin' it

season 1 went a turtle space in the parking garage

season 2 is speed running all the good parts

how do you call this curse?

the "we fucked up the first go-around but were already signed on for season 2 by that first go-around's end and now we probably won't be signed on for season 3 so we have to at least get season 2 to speed through an okay stopping point" curse
it's honestly fucking astonishing that they thought adapting more than half of the manga's current run in the span of 2 seasons was a solid idea. that's around 130 fucking chapters of primary plot points to scrunch into 24 episodes. if by some will of god there is a season 3 i wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if they cram everything up to the current arc that the manga just recently entered, everything from punished akabane to shinya's backstory

My copium has about run out bros. I just want Negi to get better so we can get the manga back.
All I have is my theory/desperate hope from last week in Please save us, Yakushi
Actual nightmare scenario. Best any of us can do is try to convince anime-onlies to just go back to the manga to get a better pacing of the story.

Seriously, who the fuck is in charge of the music? The fact that even the average viewer who never pays attention to the bgm in anime notices this shows how bad the situation is. It was already bad in s1 but holy shit, in s2 they don't even care anymore.

I don't think there will be a third season.

GOATed first episode

pacing immediately shits the bed after two episodes in S1

We should have known...

Did S1 sell well?

removal of certain foreshadowings isn't just for pacing purposes, but it's also because they don't want to set any major reveals up without the possibility of being able to follow through

they're seriously trying to make everything wrap up in a nice little bow after defeating death messiah jej

No it was a mega flop, no manga boost either. The 2nd cour was decided from the start so it doesn't have anything to do with the series' success.

From what I heard the manga has always been unpopular. The fact that it got an anime adaptation is kind of a miracle.

The anime is just terrible.

D enters three way battle by skewering a kaiju

he bashes the ranger who saw it over the head with a brick and starts his internal monologue

queue that OST with the piano that has already played a hundred times

ahhhh yurp, can already see it happening

the omission of foreshadowing foreshadows the anime original anime ending

man I love me some classic YTPs.

As an anime only, IDK if the manga is like that or if the anime hit the accelerator so hard it's like watching a recap instead

Actual Papakubo-tier analysis in this thread right now.

GO GO LOSER RANGER SEASON 3 CONFIRMED!

episode 8 (CLIMAX ALERT!): sousei's raid on yellow battalion

episode 11 and 12: shinya forma de básico backstory and setup for the super ultra megafuck sunday battle special!!!

coming in early 2026! (all character relationship development outside of backstories is axed btw)

He deserves better.

They are rushing through everything because they think he will go viral.

Unironically I wouldn't be surprised if they go anime original.

Blame Negi, most authors know how to pace their manga to fit an anime adaptation, they really had no choice but to rush S1, S2 could've ended at the zoo but that leaves way too many cliffhangers and with the manga ending soon there was no reason to plan for a S3

wait are you telling me they just skipped kaiju zoo? anons kept saying that was the best arc

they kept it vaguely similar to how it played out plotwise but it was drastically cut down on character interactions and the removal of the key fight in the arc to save time. in the manga both red and green squad play a part during their investigation of the zoo, in the anime it almost hilariously resolves itself within the span of 5 minutes by having green squad arrive on the scene and red keeper saying "guess we already took care of everything, too late green squad lol"
after that pacing blunder i can now confidently and highly recommend checking out the manga to animeonlies inbetween episodes, the characters are so much more fleshed out compared to the anime that it's sad

I won't stop telling people to check out the series, but at this point I'm only directing them to the manga. It's just not worth the investment into the anime.

D betrayed Hisui

It's over shipper bros... She's not getting over this one...

This really fell off, huh
