Precure's a pretty slow paced series. We either just exited or are still in the intro arc depending on who you ask.
It's a little weird we haven't gotten the group transformation/pose yet, but maybe that comes after the group attack.

It's a bit faster paced, more dramatic, and there's a little Hugtto mixed in, but it feels like a natural extension of the original series. That's more than I can say than for Otona.
Maybe one day we'll get an animated sequel to a season that doesn't star old hags. I don't think that's likely though (time skip ending series have to have sequels like that for obvious reasons), but I don't know, maybe the Doki novel will get adapted or something.

I doubt a season will have a future sequel without the cures being aged up. The whole point is to attract fans when they are older to Precure again and making them adults is an easy way to do that.

I wish that some other precure sequel would do something kind of silly conceptually to bring in adults like slap in a robot army instead. The Doki novel does a lot of things, but I would say that's one of the funnier things to mention out of context.
There's also always the possibility of a sequel being like the Suite novel and going full mystery/drama with very little actual Precure antics, but I don't think most people would be happy with that. I'd rather a Precure sequel be a magical girl show throughout.

Next series, Precure comes out of retirement, all obaasans with families looking for a return to their former glory.
