Tatari chapter 89: Love troubles
Konya is amusing himself by watching manzai while sitting on Tatari's lap and having him pet him.

Living your best life...

It's been three days since Iisha was defeated. Yuki's still staying at the hospital, and thus, so is Tatari, all on Konya's dime. Oh look at that, Yuki walks in just when Konya calls Tatari "oniisama".

Let's just say she's not very happy that he's having some strange girls call him big brother while neglecting his actual little sister. Tatari tries to explain that Konya is a boy, but that doesn't really improve the situation. Yuki accuses him of not needing her anymore, and Tatari is quick to profess his love for her and her alone.

This doesn't sit right with Konya, of course. They start arguing about who's more important for Tatari and who gets to call him big brother. Just calm down... You're a thousand-year-old youkai, this is hardly the worst bloodbath you've ever seen. Just think of a good solution.

And then Beriko makes things worse by calling him "aniki". He can't call him Narikawa Takeru anymore, see, since he's just transformed into him. Tatari tells him to call him Tatari...

Except that's not going to work either - that's supposed to be a secret from Yuki. Beriko tells him that he wants to be strong like Tatari, and since he already has a master, he'll call him aniki, instead.

I'll be in your care, Aniki! Of course, this doesn't sit well with the other two...

They give him a lashing like he's never had before. Beriko considers calling Tatari "oyabun" (boss) instead, but that's four characters instead of three, so nah...

Meanwhile, Iraiya and Raiden are on the roof, talking about the fact that Setsuna might still be alive.

She asks him if he's afraid he'll start to waver again if Setsuna really is alive. He reiterates that he's all hers now, and says he doesn't want to meet Setsuna again because of that. She says he's oddly conscientious at times.

She tells him that it's just natural to want to see a deceased friend again. And if he starts to waver again, she'll be there to snap him out of it.

Raiden doesn't smoke. He doesn't drink, either... What a kid. She says she wanted to tease him a bit... Despite appearances, she's can be jealous, too. You're a good woman, Raiden says.

Tatari's finally out of the frying pan. It left him pretty exhausted. He thinks back to his meeting with Garand, and admits he was right about all his youkai power being spent.

That's probably why Setsuna was able to come out like that again. He needs to recover his strength. So sleepy...

Guess who?

Futaba's come to the hospital to see Takeru (that is, Tatari). To thank him for saving her, n-not because she likes him or anything! She's got some top-shelf chocolate for him (the author reminds us to not give cats chocolate - they didn't get this right in Mao!)

Oh look, Aoi's there too.

And Setsuna invites them in for some love talk.
