This is it, anons

This is it, anons.
The future of anime (and probably media in general) is already here and is proven to work. A single guy with a consumer GPU did this in several days, which would've been impossible for any pro animator a year ago, let alone a simple outsider like this one.
This is only going to get better from now on - AI anime will be getting longer, will look better and become even easier to produce, which will bring about an explosion of creativity on par with those caused by the invention of printing and establishing general education.

daily AI shilling thread

Fuck off.

You guys deserve this. For letting normalfags, koreans and other undesirables infest anime.

I fully support this though, gatekeepers seething but they are, as always, powerless to change reality.

So far, I'm not impressed. If someone needs to express their vision without the backing of an animation studio or magazine publisher, they can just make a webcomic, which is prettier to look at than this video desu.

Kill yourself.

Not Anon Babble. Kill yourself.

There are many forms of art, each has its own advantages and disadvantages, but some are far more difficult to make than others. Now we almost got a technology that can mitigate this inconsistency and let every person create whatever story they want in whatever form they want, isn't it great?

exactly 1 minute apart

Someone's seething.

The revolution is happening in front of my eyes. I can't wait for what is to come. Ironically with all these impressive AI, the subs and dialogue doesnt match.

with a consumer GPU

so, it was done locally, not on some closed api shit?

Yes, several open models on a single 4090.

For one day, just for one day, stop bombarding me with this AI garbage. Please.

Ghibli.

Looks like he did some basic 3d models and then asked the AI to reinterpret it as 2d anime.

FUCK AI
AND FUCK (YOU)

creativity

For every one person that has a genuinely creative idea that they're unable to get made without the use of AI, there's going to be about 100000 creating generic slop that's just a shit version of something that already exists. So, you know, just like now.

Wow, a bunch of ugly and incoherent 5s scenes stitched together

I approve of AI to do menial tasks like coloring or inbetweening, but just asking it do everything just generates crap. Look at how long her right arm is.

and the most cringe text known to man

I recognize the advancements in technology, but I don't see anything sentimental about some just asking a machine to create something for them. It just seems like a means to an end to pump out whatever en masse. Just see those guys on patreon/steam charging for AI gens.

AI

This post is off-topic.

This is super impressive.

Were going to have so many slop anime, but tbŐ° I don't think the landscape will change lmao. 90% are already uninspired

My theory is that we'll see 10x more good movies/games/anime and 100x more bad ones, but that's still really good for the consumer.

Hear me out, most anime suffers in artstyle and animation quality to save on time, because go figure it's painfully slow to do everything frame by frame. I don't even watch anime anymore, but it seems to me like a perfect match for your weeb hobby. If we get models which aren't trained on the most mundane of seasonal fanservice slice of life highschool garbage, and instead have the models trained on eyecandy like Memories (1995) or any other classics, we could see an influx of absolute kino at a budget.

Look at it similarly to how modern music can be made. Back in the day you would REQUIRE an entire band or ensamble of musician to record a full track. Now one person can pretty much be an orchestra and go for entire albums with diverse styles, instruments and soundscapes thanks to loopers, synths and DAWs.

Imagine the kind of stuff dedicated hobbyists can create with tools that can more or less cover audio and visuals. AI gets bad rep because almost anyone can create shitty slop at a glance, but have you considered what actually competent people can do with such tools? It's especially promising, because hobbyists aren't bound to whims of the market and investors, which often force studious to rush out needless filler. Meanwhile as with everything indie, there's more room to experiment without having to worry about conforming to milking contemporary trends.

We already have to dig through non-ai equivalents of slop in most media, whether be it movies, tv shows, anime or games. tl;dr has a point.

gonna have to swim through miles of liquid shit to find anything half-decent to come out of prompting
no thanks. there's more good old anime and manga than I could ever get through in my life anyway

You should commit suicide for being such a complete fucking retard.

We are going to see some really fucked up, nasty hentai ones for sure.

explosion of creativity

The overwhelming majority of AI content is pure slop, prompted to farm social media ad revenue by people who can't even imagine anything good never mind create it. AI-generated media will only make it harder to find anything actually worth viewing.

but that's still really good for the consumer.

maybe if the consumer enjoys panning for gold in sewers

The overwhelming majority of AI content is pure slop

Just like the majority of human-written text and a less overwhelming majority of human-made art. Let's be honest, if you go to pixiv with AI art hidden, you're more likely to stumble onto pic related than on a great piece of art.

There was another argument about advantages and disadvantages the lowered barrier to entry brings about, but Anon Babble decided to kill it so imagine the rest for yourself

There are obvious limitations to this with consistency issues but anyone who doesn't see the writing on the wall is delusional.

seems like a means to an end to pump out whatever en masse

Right now only the mainstream stuff gets animated and only the most basic bitch stories get expensive high quality animation. With AI you can animate every niche manga on the level of a modern shonen slop. That's nice, nothing to be upset about

You won't have to "find" anything because it'll just make an anime you like. For example I want a hardboiled yakuza drama set in the 90s. No such anime exists as far as I know. Let's make one with AI, because nobody else will do it anyway

I think we will finally get to see better anime.
One of the reasons anime is so unspired is that they only make anime that maximizes the appeal, so they go for generic the same proven themes.
But most of the good stories are niche.
Like have you seen how some random youtube autism starts making a story 10x better than the author, well now they can make that kind of stories happen without a million dollar budget, these high risk stories.
And once they are out there, as AI slop, yet somehow getting people onboard; they may get made properly for those that gain traction.
Basically the anime origins being like that of OPM will become the norm rather than the exception.

Complains about how much generic slop there is while the OP webm is exactly that

The overwhelming majority of AI content is pure slop

The overwhelming majority of content is pure slop in general, anime included.

maybe if the consumer enjoys panning for gold in sewers

We're already at that point since long before Machine Learning was a thing.

So, what gives?

Imagine how many people have storytelling skills or just great one-off ideas, but were unable to manifest them into a multimedia form because they lack the resources, be it voice actors or some visual artform. Tools like these just lower the bar of entry for people to create something actually interesting.

2 more weeks.

Instead of robot workers and worker AI that could lower working hours we get millions of indians and pseuds generating garbage fake looking porn and anime.

Every day I’m reminded that we are in the worst fucking timeline.

an.png - 1170x1119, 1.77M

Skill issue, I've already lowered my actual working time by letting AI generate simple boilerplate code.

This is still an utopia and is impossible because of the human nature.

CGI movement vibes. Looks horrible.

I don't even watch anime anymore,

Then why are you here you absolute faggot?

any other classics,

I can tell you don’t watch anime because some of the best directed anime, like Dezaki’s stuff, have minimal ammouny of frames and ai garbage can’t direct.

Idk why you are so focused on animation, which is harder, and not vidya. It’s much easier to generate working code and assets instead of animation. Ai could finally save the indie vidya scene.

i support ai threads and ai content, thanks for posting this op, i wish i had the passion and infrastructure to produce something like this, but i lack both, so i look forward to seeing your work in the future
