Is that supposed to be bad? KGB is still outselling most of the magazine: most of the magazine would do anything to get those numbers, even if they're "stagnating".

KGB is amazing for almost reaching the 4 weeks sales of a previous volume within just 3 weeks. 4 week has brought it to what, 146k?

embrassing

If those are "embarrassing" then you have disingenuous standards.

this is a bait pic taking vol 5 results for 4 weeks but vol 6 results for 3 weeks only
he will also samefag it like here just out it as bait and move on

based tms will go all out
we will see the next jujutsu kaisen

That's what I did though? I literally told him that those sales are still good no matter how much he spams "stagnate".

Suzuki wouldn't be doomposting so hard in his comments and art if this was actually a significant improvement

That's not the point. The point is that picture is incorrect in the first place, vol 6 sold 145,589 fm. So it grew in sales.

As if that's gonna stop him from screeching "stagnated!"

Lol you’ll be lucky if even one of them ends up working on Sakamoto, let alone all of them. TMS clearly doesn't care about the anime.

The rising stars of WSJ!

When is monthly oricon out again?

Every time he's screeching, someone will point out that he had to blatantly lie just to fuel his false narrative and this is the 2nd time he was humbled.

THE STAGNATION IS REAL

Kagurabachi digitals really have improved a ton
It's the 2nd highest digital preorder I can see (idk if some random series with a cover is a preorder) only behind Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe 3

NOT RANKED

So... remove the fourth week from vol 5 too, it didn't rank after all.

Don't give him the satisfaction of a (you) for this retardation

not ranked means there were no sales during that week

cute but you need to try harder
it ranked for vol 5

Astro Royale #2 (25,459) // 17 days

Astro Royale #3 (21,138) // 19 days

Astro Royale #4 (18,324) // 20 days

Shinobi Undercover #1 (12,347) // 16 days

Shinobi Undercover #2 (14,308) // 13 day

it ranked for vol 5

That's the monthly oricon that released right after.

monthly vol 5 was 140,599, no?

He will samefag the yous anyway. Doesn't really matter when every (you) is just mocking him for being forced to falsify data.

what does kagurabachi need to do to start growing again?

Being fr
It probably is gonna actually start with volume 7 or 8 since that's actually when it typically happens, hopefully the anime announcement is out by then (for volume 8, I guess, doubt we get it in the next 2 weeks)

It's growing with every new volume though.
Yeah the pre-anime sales happened with every big title. He claimed it way too earlier to make sense.

Syd status?

This thread is proof dumbfuck kgbfags getting baited all day is what keeps /wsj/ alive

Living
People are discussing things without you boo hoo

What do you think about this portrayal of Nakano?

I was only pretending

Disappointment

th (3).jpg - 400x400, 23.88K

I'll think about it

Don't kid yourself, its the sheer anti kgb hate autism that keeps these threads running. That a bit of a mixed bag of copiums for all the unsuccessful series.

I hate this waiting, I just want to know if Syd is safe for real or not

what a fucking loser lmao

why did a post of few words visibly upset you in the first place?

Of course he is.

We are WINNERS

why do you think you being called a loser for confusing a thread is a sign of anyone being visibly upset?

Syd coper and WINNERS poster

I can't even get the /wsj/ personalities anymore. Is he also the rats poster or is the rats poster someone else?

No, he hasn't shown any relation to people using "nuerats".

rats poster

nuerats?

Yes, him.

you know the threads devolved into a dead general when there is more discussion on specific posters than specific series

Maybe if we could force people to stop making threads outside of Sunday and ToC day, then this would stop being an issue.

You have literally nothing else to discuss anyway. TOC will be released tomorrow.

Why can't we just let these threads die?

Is he also the rats poster

the only mentions of nue from him is in combination with kill blue getting axed for some "ultimate win"

That's not possible when there are two people obsessed with the idea to create a thread with their favorite manga as OP so they challenge themselves to it.
There was a collective attempt to ignore these threads so they just samefagged it to keep afloat with the similar bait you have here.
There was an attempt to spam these threads with raw jump manga by someone from jannies but people complained to mods and he stopped.
Protip: stop using these threads yourself if you don't like it. It's not a tongue in cheek reply, I am being honest.

MKL spamming threads to ask syd questions

anti-kgb schizos posting the same disingenuous charts

retarded kgbfags falling for bait

Unholy trinity that sustains /wsj/

Calling out a bait isn't "falling for it". What you might see as "falling for bait" is just a samefagging falseflag.

also, report schizoposts to mods and take the issue to mods in IRC by asking them to a bit more harsher on wsj threads

This retard got deleted like three times last sunday and he's still going at it.

Why would you do that if all you need to do is just avoiding these threads outside of toc and release days?

Not him, but avoiding the threads doesn't stop them from existing. Ideally, what needs to be done is for the threads to actually stop existing. Ignoring the threads is a band-aid solution.

. Ideally, what needs to be done is for the threads to actually stop existing.

more like stopping threads from happening in late night Wednesday and Sunday like pre spring 2024

Why? As long as you don't visit it, it doesn't exist for you. It doesn't affect you in any way.

Are you defending daily threads being a thing? Yes or no?

I still think it's dumb they've basically only put out real merch twice (Chihiro Bean Plus + Now the Enten Letter Opener) in over a year and a half of serialization, and over a year as a genuine hit

No. It doesn't work this way.

Shinobi undercover and Himaten are the only new series growing it seem, well their sales are still not good but better than nothing

What the fuck Saito is doing? why the magazine so ass now

Half the magazine is ending naturally over the next 2 years and the other half is flopping, there's like 3 series that aren't doing either he has to really work with

Jump anime are so screwed man. I'm guessing that the exposure that comes from being in the biggest manga magazine bites the series when it comes time for their anime, since the anime's exposure is limited due to the exposure these series have already. I imagine this doesn't apply to their big hits, though Mashle s1, Blue Box, and Sakamoto Days all failed to become huge (and yeah, Blue Box's anime was a decent success, but c'mon man its circulation still lags behind Sakamoto with a flop anime, it wasn't that big, especially digitally). Yeah, Mashle s2 did pretty well, but it also only worked out in the end by virtue of having one the most popular anime openings of all time, it's not something Jump can reliably replicate. Elusive Samurai went insanely viral and had stellar production values, but only boosted by like 20K. The sad part is that Witch Watch's anime is good, it has a bop of an OP, production values are good and it nails the comedic timing. It's still early days and the boost seems to be doing fine digitally (all volumes are in the top 300 in Shonen) so it isn't an absolute bomb like Undead, but even a decent seller like this can't seem to get anything going. Don't even get me started on Akane, that should've been announced long ago, the momentum it (and Witch Watch) had is long gone now, it better be Elusive Samurai level quality or it has a strong chance of being another flop anime.

Jump better make sure CyGames absolutely nails it for Bachi, and it better not throw Ichi to the wolves, literally every magazine other than them has had something work since Chainsaw Man (if Blue Lock counts as being after Chainsaw Man anyways) they need something to hit a cultural zeitgeist sooner or later.

Kubo need to come back carrying the mag

My favorite are still the art boards they released last year, those were cool and unique.

Jump better make sure CyGames absolutely nails it for Bachi

I'm pretty positive it's the reason they aren't doing voiced volume PVs for the series

Dandadan's too random and silly to be a massive hit imo, it's a fun enough weekly read but it's not the kind of series where you can get deeply invested in the characters or story since what happens next is generally unpredictable nonsense.

I think we'll see something explode, it could be Kagurabachi if it's done well but I'm somewhat concerned that the early boost it got means it won't get one as much as an anime (like it's already gotten the attention from people who'd normally only jump on with an anime).

Who?

The rakugo supervisor for the manga

honestly doubt that Kagurabchi and Ichi can achieve results similar to Kimetsu or Jujutsu. If we think that not even the most discussed work of the moment DanDaDan has succeeded

They need to put Kagurabachi and Ichi on the proper anime release schedule, if their respective anime come out after they each reach 200 chapters it's basically guaranteed DoA

rakugo supervisor for the manga

I bet the anime announcement is taking so long because he's also supervising the anime as well

I'm pretty sure it took a long time for the Kimetsu anime to blew up in popularity. Did everyone forget that? The first season was notorious for being slow

It was a slow but steady growth, every week.
Every volume was doing 7-10k per week before it ended, which is when it massively blew up (shueisha started actually printing it).

KnY's first episode was very solid though.

MH posts

For what reason?

Nue anime will legit save current jump, I expect an announcement this year

promoted to shinuchi only recently

Explains a lot.

yoko finally got an anime

it's not dancing midgets

sad

less merch than fucking KILL BLUE

Even though it's not in Jump anymore, I think CSM also deserves a special mention of recent Jump adaptations struggling to go truly big

In CSM's case, it was lost momentum when it was given a 12 episode anime despite having content for two cours, and a massive radio silence between the anime and the Reze movie.

His ascension to glory will be even more impressive then

It went big, then completely deflated through bad anime and absolutely abysmal writing.

when it was given a 12 episode anime despite having content for two cours,

I'll never understand this, really

CSM was more of a music advertisement if anything. Look at all the expensive music artists they decided to hire instead of making a second cour

3yrs between the anime and the Reze movie's release

They're lucky CSM is big enough because 3yrs to wait is enough to kill any series' fanbase

They thought it would be the next JJK and wanted to milk the series for all it was worth. At least knowing how shit S1 was, that they only adapted half means they were able to shift gears for Reze onward.

Tbh, I really did think Sakamoto had the potential to go super big in this specific generation

You know, the kind of generation where people care more about "aura" rather than actual quality of a work. The kind of anime that hoodweebz are attracted too because their dumb brains can't handle a sentence that aren't buzzwords

no super strong and cool self insert (sakamoto is fat)

no real "waifus"

all it has it cool action

Not really.

I don't think it would've cause the characters themselves are lame

Their has to be a cool looking character for them to idolize

Sakamoto is fat and old
Shin is okay not cool enough
Nagumo looks derpy. I don't see what girls see in him either

I don't see what girls see in him either

Unhinged psychopath who beats his gf design.
Girls love that.

But he looks like a gremlin though. In both his manga and anime artstyle

Hahaha, this makes salesfag mad

You think Ichi's fandom is big enough to throw a tantrum if someone draws Desscaras with a skin tone that isn't absolutely black?

Draw her white and blonde.

turkey timezone

Most Desscaras fanart is just really ugly to look at.

One would think that they have learned their lesson now, but then proceeded to screw up again with Sakamoto.
Besides, even if a studio isn't capable enough to replicate the action scenes they could at least fix the shoddy writing to make up for it.

it would've been a flop anyways

lol

not even close retardbro

I can get how an action anime goes viral but how do romcoms get viral? Is it really just luck? Or how hot is the main girl regardless if the budget of the anime is abysmal? There's not much variety in this genre so I wonder

How much you want to fuck the heroines.

Definitely how attractive is the main girl.

Nagatoro/Marin/Takagi anime all have mediocre budget but that doesn't matter as long as their girls are hot

Lol, they are rereleasing JumpFesta 2025 mini acrylics for Ichi, Hima, Kiyoshi and Shinobi but not HakuTaku.

but how do romcoms get viral?

Except that it is turkey timezone, you roach. Good job outing yourself again and as a xitterfag no less.

I was at a night market at a certain cold mountainous Southeast Asian city the other day, and one of the stalls was selling Sakamoto Days figures.

Technically, we never know the true digital sales number unless they outright announce it, right? Because you have people pre-ordering digital 1 month in advance, sometimes more and those numbers are often higher than recent selling volumes.

The post was made at 2:31 AM UTC and Turkey timezone is UTC+3.
2:31 AM UTC is 5:31 AM in UTC+3.

The fact how fast is he to deny that says it all.

wasnt there a recent sakamoto popup shop that sold next to nothing

It's better to go with hardfacts before he tries to backtrack.

See this guy?

Everyone who gets paired with him in Sanrio collab is based.

badtz-maru.png - 526x249, 22.95K

What happened to the heckin wholesome community that came together for good purposes like annihilating the leakers?

cinnamoroll is the best

Just use circulation at that point.
Mangaka gets paid on that anyway.

Sometimes I wonder if all anti-KGB schizoposting is truly done by just two mindbroken faggots.
Every fucking time someone is outed, it ends up being one of these two.

astro is a current and obvious example as to why you shouldnt use circulation for actual estimates, one piece to a lesser extant

There is nothing wrong with turning J+ into garbage dump for less successful WSJ manga. Alternatively, WSJ could keep 2 or 3 more titles as digital exclusives.

Astro's circulation ain't gonna go up, bud. Same case with UU. The only time circulation is shitpost-tier is when it's right before an anime and they print lots regardless of how it actually sells.
If we've already used physical sales number from Oricon and Shoseki as estimates and we're stuck on how it actually sells on digital, then just use its newest circulation to make an estimate.

Two? I'm pretty sure it's one person samefagging because everytime someone calls him out when replies to himself only one person replies with a screencap with Turkey timezone.

Is that proto-Chihiro or Sanrio is stealing Takeru's idea again?

Yeah there's another one shitting up the thread during SEA hours when the roach is asleep.

If nakano was a company man he would have put his bias aside and actually push kagurabachi instead of letting it rot in the bottom 5

Is that Chihiro Rokuhira from the famous series Kagurabachi from the manga magazine called Weekly Shonen Jump

That duck looks like he's naked. Can't be Chihiro

Maru has characteristics almost similar to Chihiro in some degree, yeah.

Wrong, they should go the young jump route and have bi weekly series running in the mag, that way they can get old proven talent to come back

not even close to what i said you neanderthal. astro had a circulation of 250k while shoseki at the time tracked well under 100k in total, and digital sales for series is often far less than physicals unless stated otherwise. i was pointing out how factoring circulation numbers at all when estimating physical+digital sales data is retarded

Both of those are right. Companies are making an investment when they publish manga and they can't live off praise alone. Nakano would be a retard for trying to bury a potential hit, but considering how poorly the first volume sold no one can blame him if, in fact, KGB was underperforming.

how poorly the first volume sold

It sold as much as was available.

The fact that the numbers Kagurabachi vol 1 did despite the limited stock was "low" enough for it to be in the firing lines for months but exactly a year later you have UEK and Himaten struggling to match those numbers while thriving in the mag makes me sick.

Ruri and One Piece?

UEK is actually at 11k (second worst if we count Syd) and still shilled like no one

The absolute irony calling other people retarded kek
If the circulation numbers don't go up then it's clearly not even selling enough for you to care about digital. What? Do you want to know how much a 20k seller is selling on digital? It's fucking irrelevant it's still gonna be around that 20k-30k range in total.
Let's take DDD or KGB instead where their circulation numbers are regularly updated. If the manga is selling like hotcakes and they're frequently reprinted we can assume physical vols are selling out. Just take that sold-out number as the the initial print, add backlog sales, then subtract that sum from the circulation.
It's pretty fucking simple once you do that you can get figures like KGB digital selling around 30%-35% of its physical

Because survey votes are more important than sales.

KGB collab when

Isn't that just because of the Oda shilling?

sojo arc was 1 year ago

Ruri is a frigid bitch

1743952544685.jpg - 1644x2528, 698.73K

Well over a year ago, now.
Didn't it end in January?

shilled

doesn't even get any bonus like limited card or stickers to sell more

Yeah, we were in hakurischizo season already.

No, hakuri can't possibly have sorcery

Oda shilling happened once, obi for vol 1. Other shilling is most likely an effort made by Sugita Suguru, UEK editor.

IMAGINE

The absolute irony calling other people retarded kek

twice you have failed to realise that i never mentioned anything about rising circulation statistics or whatnot. it is painfully obvious to anyone with a brain that im saying wsj jumped the gun with a ridiculous circulation update on astro and it makes an obvious example for why circulation doesnt equal physical+digital. your math leading to a sales split matching circulation numbers 1 to 1 is you being completely retarded by starting at an imaginary answer (circulation numbers EQUAL physical+digital sales) and working backwards by making large leaps and bending unrelated statistics. you dont have all the information, its not pretty fucking simple, its mere conjecture. seeing as you failed to grasp what i clearly said twice, i expect this to also go over your head

throw dogshit data of irrelevant manga away

keep useable data of sold-out, frequently reprinted manga as a yardstick

Yes, it's pretty fucking simple.
If you use the estimate that KGB digital sells 30%-35% of physical then it's pretty fucking simple too to measure digital rankings from Amazon, etc. with that as the stick. If a manga overall ranks above KGB then it's selling 40k+ on digital and vice versa.
No need to be absolutely accurate. Just enough to make a consistent estimation instead of complaining you're not getting digital figures from companies you don't even own stocks in, you monkey.

It gets a lot of CPs and most importantly, absolutely not matching its sales TOC position.

You could add more series but yes

not once did i bring up kagurabachi, i only brought up astro and one piece. i only claimed that astros circulation is an example as to why circulation shouldnt be used in actual estimates

>throw dogshit data of irrelevant manga away

>keep useable data of sold-out, frequently reprinted manga as a yardstick

what are you even arguing for then? how does a massive circulation outlier in astro connect to kagurabachi whatsoever? why are you dismissing astro entirely when i was only arguing about astro? obviously, a series that sells well, with frequent circulation updates that are close to shoseki estimates that can be filled in with the fact that digital sells less than physical can clearly get a decent but not perfect estimate, but that still isnt indicative of total sales. either you have failed to comprehend what i said for a third time, or you are claiming that astros digital sales at the time not only vastly outsold its phyicals, but did well over 100k sales. read through what i said a few times and properly understand what im saying before replying, i dont want to read your completely braindead spiel for a fourth time

Nobody wants to do those color pages unless it is lead color and UEK has zero. You may complain if it somehow survives past 1st year AND gets a cover.

This is why I said "and most importantly". TOC placement is the best promotion and it doesn't cost anything for the mangaka. And CPs should go to Ichi. Usazaki art is great and they are a duo.

Usazaki art is great and they are a duo.

And almost every single Ichi cp is super uninspired

I can't believe they wasted five color pages on a recap.

only job is to draw characters

have like seven assistants

normal ass pages colored worse than what jump does

Free money I guess.

How much longer until we know if Syd is safe or not?

Kys

Probably by volume 2. If that also sells like shit without much improvement it might just get axed.

Our
