When did you outgrow anime and start reading only manga?

When did you outgrow anime and start reading only manga?

I outgrew manga and started reading only VNs

never. You're a child if you think you "outgrow" a medium

found the child

I didn't, Anime has music so it's a superior medium

Unless I've been reading it since before the anime, I only pick up the manga of the series I really love, which is few and far between, and even then, I'm a very lazy reader because the anime experience is generally way better.

I didn't, I stopped reading manga and starting reading Light Novels and watching more Anime.

I outgrew manga and started reading only LNs

I love and highly value animation and voice acting so never. I should read more manga but anime and visual novels are best for me.

Isn't it backwards? I spent all my childhood and teen years mostly reading, and then even on my 20s I was mostly reading manga, at least more than I watched anime, but then after turning 30 I got tired, reading sucks, I just want to put on anime and let the video play, even scrolling pages is too bothersome these days...

"outgrow"
i hate that word. nobody should "outgrow" something that they love. it just means for some reason of another you ended up not being able to enjoy it anymore and had to stop. for me it was games. i used to love them, but now i can't play anything for a few minutes due to my damn anxiety about life. getting older with head full of thoughts and worries fucking sucks.

Are there still even good VNs that has been published in the last ten years or are anons just reading older ones?

Why would you spoil an anime by reading the manga first?

like 15+ years ago when i got tired of all the dogshit low budget filler shit in anime and all the stupid cliche and tropes and character archetypes that never break their assigned stereotype

I rely on anime adaptations to find manga that interest me
How do manga-onlies know what to pick up? Is it just finding a magazine they like? As my favorites all seem to run in different ones.

How do manga-onlies know what to pick up?

I browse raw manga as part of my daily routine (can understand JP quite a bit) so if anything catches my attention or could see a potential I'll have them bookmarked. Second is looking from the magazine I like yeah, but it's generally spread from the big three (wsj, wsm, wss)

shortly after high school, so around 2014

found the isekai shitters

Maybe... three years ago?

From the same place I read them online. Manga aggregator sites have list of updating manga and some let you sort by genre or have pages with cover pictures showing.
Its like browsing them in a store but with more options.

Becky sex

maybe year ago when i read The Jojolands and then i started reading Berserk. but still im watching anime first and then manga

It's hilarious how elitist manga readers are when the vast majority of the medium is as trashy as an average anime season.

Dangerous thread

A few years ago. I only watch anime originals that actually look half-decent, and those are pretty rare nowadays

After Overlord and my confidence grows each time I hear that the most blandest shit I read gets an adaptation

this is true, but speed reading trashy manga is fun and you cant do that with anime

my penis outgrew Becky's tiny pussy! I'm still gonna jam it in though! 笑

I outgrew manga and use my previous manga time for reading real books.Mostly for economizing my free time so I still have the option for anime because I don't watch many other shows.Though I still read One Piece and pick up shorter manga that interests me like Ponko or All you need is kill as of late

Exploring new series is just straight up better with manga. You can speedread in a minute a couple chapters too see if it's trashy, then start again if not.

I will not read manga unless it's in Japanese. I don't know Japanese yet, so I haven't started reading manga.

but you're posting an anime screencap, why don't you post a manga panel of Becky?
Unless you're just trying to bait people.

This is the worst Becky thread imaginable

watching anime just takes too long most of the time
I probably read 4 or 5 manga for every anime I watch nowadays

for me it was games. i used to love them, but now i can't play anything for a few minutes due to my damn anxiety about life. getting older with head full of thoughts and worries

What about adult hentai games though?

Never, because anime translators always upload raw anime alongside English subtitles, but manga translators never upload raw manga alongside English translations. This makes it pretty difficult to find raw manga.

Becky

I outgrew anime and manga, and I now spend my time watching paint dry

I lurk Anon Babble and if I see something interesting I pick it up

I never watched much ongoing anime. I still pick up a show every once in a while, and watch finished series, but it feels better to me to use my free time reading manga than watching anime.

So I don't spoil the manga by watching the anime. Also

he only reads manga that get adaptations

Around my early 20's. I just found the quality of animation to decline way too much and I prefer reading at my own pace. I'll watch some anime every now and then, but I don't even bother checking the anime announcements anymore.

She's fucking 6.

When my attention span shortened to the point where I could no longer wait for the anime to reach the equivalent of the next panel.

Are you retarded?

Out of five!

only bad manga doesn't get adapted

midwit take

NTA but legitimately the only video games I play nowadays. It doesn't help that some of them are legitimately good gameplay wise.

Not every LN is isekai.

nobody should "outgrow" something

cites growing older as the reason he no longer enjoys something

most anime are sourced from manga so its easier and faster to judge if its worth watching the anime by reading manga

lust provoking image

lust provoking image

time wasting question

I only read manga when I can buy a physical copy and I only buy manga when I have money and I'm broke right now so I'll continue watching anime.

Brain dead animefag

Perfect for your 6 cm.

I outgrew highschool-themed anime/manga when I was in my early 20s. How the fuck do they still keep getting made when Japan has more 80yo than <20yo?? Some literal who falling in love with le most beautiful girl in school who somehow likes him because he's so nice but muh student council intervening because muh morality muh upstanding who the fuck watches this shit!?

I want to impregnate Becky.

lonely touch-starved incels who spend all day every day engaging in unhealthy escapism to cope with their depressing reality

When the market began to fill with trash anime, generic isekai, censored eichi and seinen to force you to buy DVDs, and most painfully, a few anime with high-quality first seasons to be succeeded by seasons produced in cheaper and poor-quality studios.

How?

Me and five other ojisans.

Don't get me wrong, I can't talk to women either despite being somewhat of a normie otherwise but I will still never understand how you can keep watching that shit as an adult.

I'm a 29 year old virgin and I hate school romcoms like you wouldn't believe.

Have you never even fucked a whore or kissed an underaged girl?

Whores disgust me.

I'm a 30+ year old straight guy that likes reading shoujo romance (including school themed) manga.

There is nothing wrong with being transgender, sis.
