Rate him.
Jojo Afterparty thread
10/10.
Araki's second-best antagonist.
I'd forgive George.
0/10
Not my president
ID LIKE TO MAKE AN ANNOUNCEMENT. JOHNNY JOESTAR IS A BITCH ASS MOTHERFUCKER. HE KILLED MY FUCKING SON
What if Valentine brought back an evil Gyro instead and that’s why Gyro is absent from every other world. Would Johnny be able to finish him off?
10/10
Slimy bastard
I rate him a 10/10 villain just for his confrontation with Johnny
I also think it's funny that there are a lot of readers who genuinely take his speech to Johnny at face value
10/10
George really said this to a crowd of people.
There are so many great characters in this part
Do I just make the HG bigger or do I make a poll?
Why didn't Valentine bring 'cringe' version Johnny?
GO JOHNNY GO GO
Obviously pure evil.
Make it bigger.
Im sorry Gyro, I really wanted Valentine to bring back an AU version of yourself to replace you
Wtf, Johnny you asshole
MY PRESIDENT/10
A shame he didn't said one last dojyaaan
mfw I see a deadbeat dad who wished death on his child and never visited him in the hospital after he was shot and crippled for life cry and say sorry
because the "based" version of Johnny was already cringe.
Last chapter tomorrow. How are we feeling about Jojolion?
He 100% yelled it the moment he brought Alternate Diego out of the pit.
why did diego have The World in that universe? ferdinand never infected him or something?
Is next time the last volume?
I liked George's apology at the end but I felt like I had to make this post anyway
how? not only was he right about everything, he was only acting out of pure justice. also, he did nothing wrong.
first time reader - idk much, should i be scared
Probably that and his overall personality is closer to DIO's than Diego's more morally gray outlook.
Jojolion up to vitamin C is very gripping, arguably better than SBR
Imagine if Araki added emojis to that scene like with Valentine's promises.
Yes and the end of Jojo. Too bad there never was a part 8. I guess Araki was getting a bit old.
Would Johnny be able to finish him off?
yes, his bussy is top notch.
Hypocrite/10
A really entertaining villain though
AU Diego will have the color palette of part 3 DIO
Everything he said was a lie. He’s like Pucci, the worst type of evil
How does it feel Gyro never got to make it up with his father?
get ready for KINO and DISSAPOINTMENT in equal proportion
reading ball breaker to high voltage made me hyperventilate again not gonna lie bros
Expect a lot of people freaking out over completely random things.
Calamity
Well i will be prepared, i didnt understand much when first sbr volumes went up since ppl talked about napkins and spin and such...anyways...now back to editing panels
Gregorio was an asshole, fuck him. Gyro was happy his last moments were with Johnny instead
If it maintained the same level of quality to the end, and if Jobin was the main antagonist, then it would've at least been as good, if not better, yes
anon, you're only supposed to pretend to be retarded.
They weren't necessarily on bad terms.
Based.
It's a 「curse」
I really enjoyed the stands in Part 7.
I'm not wasting my time getting invested in ultimately a pointless part
The shitposting will so kino bros...
I love him because he's a liar
I love Diavolo for being a huge coward as well
These are very humanizing central traits for the "big boss final villain" characters
Now imagine if you had spent several years being very invested in it.
Two days from now, he cometh.
Gyro stopped caring about what his stupid dad thinks ages ago, he's happy with Johnny.
i know spoilers but last time i read part 8 it was only up to Beetle Tendency before i got burnt out and stopped so i'm going to be reading most of it for the first time.
I binge read JJL so while the ending disappointed me, it didn’t mind break me. I can separate the good and the bad. Same thing happened to me with SnK. Must suck following a series for years, theorizing about it, rereading it, only for it to shit the bed in the end
4 for being a dumb hypocrite and getting his appearance/ability changed too much
Dio and Diavolo clear.
I was, that's what makes it worse. I imagine first time readers will think it's kino despite the shitty ending because they didn't have to wait literal years to get to that point
If King Crimson doesn't make a appearance in JoJolands, I'll be upset.
My shitposts and retardation are utterly unclouded. They are all those of trolling.
posting the edited version
great moment
How so?
Seeing people freak out over someone mentioning a curse in this storytime is pretty funny, not gonna lie.
The New World > High Voltage
brought the boots
completely acknowledges his wrongdoing and that he has no right to expect an apology to suffice
What's not to like?
told Johnny he should've died
didn't come to see Johnny in the hospital after he got shot
only shows up now after Johnny is close to winning
FAT
WORTHLESS
FUCK
The JJL trigger words are very funny. A character can't mention calamity without half the storytime flipping out.
I missed 85% of the storytime. Which arc had the most hyped threads.
For me its the word pursue
Gyro...
Made In Heaven got the most threads. They were going so fucking fast too.
This part probably
Dio's World.
89
The Stone Ocean finale had 5 fucking threads and 2 afterparty threads
we get The World for part 7
we get Killer Queen for part 8
King Crimson bros, I think we are fucking back
I binged it a few months ago. Everything from Rai's death to the end was fucking terrible regardless of time spent.
JJL's first half is great, maybe better than SBR
JJL's first half is already full of plot holes, and overrated to make up for what comes after. The storytime will thankfully demonstrate it.
I look forward to seeing just what got people so triggered over these seemingly random and meaningless words kek
Sorry, I meant for this part.
big theme of sbr is fatherhood
big theme of jojolion is motherhood
big theme of jojolands is (probably) siblinghood
What familial bond will Part 10 be about?
that one page with a literal who that never actually shows up in the story
What was that about?
Made in Heaven
Crazy Diamond is Unbreakable
DIO's World
If we DQ Final arcs, Mystery of King Crimson and Grateful Dead were pretty hype.
Now that the dust has settled, I can safely say that while I like the overall story of Johnny and Gyro and many of their moments, I do not care for them at all as characters. They have little in the way of concrete character traits besides being soulbros (no homo) and I guess Gyro being more book-smart while Johnny has better reasoning. I most of this is because Araki decided to use only two characters as our protagonists and they were forced to pull double-duty for plot reasons.
Current rankings (only Parts and Jojos I have read as manga)
Jolyne > Johnny > Giorno
Bruno > Ermes > Gyro
Pucci > Valentine > Diavolo
Proscuitto > Westwood > Soundman
P6 > P7 > P5
The big theme of Jojolion is the Jojolion, the curse-busting superweapon.
if Hot Pants is dead why is her stand thing still functioning?
Was SBR just as good as you remember?
Dio was a better villain
DIO was a better villain
Kira was a better villain
Pucci was a better villain
Valentine's good and competently done but at the end of the day he's just a shitbag politician.
I think they're Araki's best written characters, and I'm not alone in that. The reason 7 is so hyped up is because it's carried by Johnny and Gyro's characters/dynamic.
It's from another Hot Pants from another dimension who is probably still alive.
They have little in the way of concrete character
This is how I feel about basically every JoJo bar Joseph.
Better, honestly. Now I remember why I used to rank it over P6.
It's just as good as I remember
Pucci genuinely believed he was doing good for the world, he was just insane and evil. Valentine is fully selfish and knows it, he's just a charistmatic liar.
Yeah still holds up for me
Far better.
P6fag
DIRTY DEEDS!!!-
Would (You) have believed Valentine?
I'm a first-time reader, and it's my favorite part so far. Johnny and Gyro speak to me way more than Jotaro/Polnareff or Jolyne/Ermes.
I think one of the worst feelings a story can give you is the feeling that you cared more than the author did.
And that's how I felt with both SNK and Jojolion.
Like all of the speculation was meaningless because the breadcrumbs the authors left were on accident. Like I wasted my time being invested in the series.
I think Jojolands is pretty good so far, but I just can't get into it the same way I got into Jojolion because of that ending.
Charisma truly is the most busted stat in fiction. You cant do shit against a charisma build
better desu. reading with the thematic elements and what araki was trying to portray in the story in mind makes part 7 a really enjoyable part.
Johnny especially is a very fun character and one of Araki's best.
big theme in jojolands is brotherhood
big theme in part 10 is sisterhood
Part 1 is carried by characters
Part 2 is carried by ???
Part 3 is carried by fights
Part 4 is carried by characters
Part 5 is carried by fights and characters (barring Giorno)
part 6 is carried by fights
part 7 is carried by characters
Part 8 is carried by fights
As I brought up in the last afterparty, they're not the same. Pucci thought everything he did was "good". Valentine knows this shit is "evil" he just doesn't care because STARS AND STRIPES FOREVER.
I would have shot him before he said a single word, so in a way i guess not
Better, I think. I enjoyed it when I read it back in the day but I think a lot of my opinion on it got warped as the years passed. Rereading it reminded me of why I liked it so much.
Both part 2 and 6 are carried by the main protagonist
About as good as I remembered.
It takes a while to really get going, but when it gets going...whew.
Part 2 is carried by ???
trickery
Anime Watchalong when?
>part 6 is carried by fights
it's more carried by jolyne and pucci. the fights are very good, but sometimes they get way too out there. especially towards the end where Araki's sleep deprivation psychosis kicks in to overdrive.
They have little in the way of concrete character traits
Jolyne > Johnny > Giorno
Bruno > Ermes > Gyro
P6 > P7 > P5
Part 2 is definitely carried by Joseph.
It made me love Johnny more. Gyro is great, but he would be insufferable if it was just him. Johnny's sarcasm and diplomacy is a great balance to Gyro's cockiness
Terrible post, take a lap.
Ermes > Gyro
Jesus fucking christ.
it's more carried by jolyne and pucci.
No wonder its so unpopular
It was somewhat worse as I speedread the first time and didn't notice the weak parts.
Same but with OnK.
Jolyne is not exceptional enough to carry anything, you niggers hype her up because she's a girl. If she were a male you'd recognize her arc ends after Jotaro goes into a coma and she becomes generic badass who doesn't afraid of anything like her dad.
Part 2 is carried by Joseph though.
worst bait i have ever seen have a (you) anyway lol
I was starting to have my doubts at the beginning and even a little bit in the middle, but the last volume and this one proved that I was right to have it as my #1.
About as good as I remembered it.
Still not a fan of The World Diego, though.
Ermes > Gyro, let alone anyone
Kill yourself
carried by ???
Joseph and Stroiheim
It was BS from when he sent hitmen against Johnny and Gyro despite having already taken all their Corpse Parts but the eyes.
Jolyne is not exceptional enough to carry anything
You didn't read part 6.
As a first time reader I expect shit because of what everyone says about it but I doubt I will get shit
One of the best main Jojo villains. This part in particular has a mostly memorable roster of villains.
Part 7 gave us Diego/The World after the villain was defeated
Part 8 gave us guard rail after the villain was defeated
Jolyne is not exceptional enough to carry anything, you niggers hype her up because she's a girl.
Imagine being this KAKUGOless.
I think one of the worst feelings a story can give you is the feeling that you cared more than the author did
Kengan bros...
Was there ever an explanation of how valentine got the scars on his back?
I did. Again, you're hyping this up because it's a woman doing it.
Tortured by confederates during the civil war iirc.
A jojo lion, as I live and breathe?
Which chapter?
Wait a minute... is that THE MOUSE?
i for one cant wait for the shitshow that will be jojolion
The TMW arc, Catch the Rainbow, Sugar Mountain and Tattoo You!, Civil War and the final encounter with Valentine are all some of the strongest moments Araki has written in JJBA. Johnny is his best protagonist, Gyro is his best JoBro, and Valentine is my favourite JJBA villain. Late 19th century America is Araki's best setting and the Steel Ball Run itself is his most interesting premise. Araki's art also peaks around the midpoint of part 7 too, and the official colouring is gorgeous to boot. It's not just my favourite part by far, it's one of my favourite manga ever.
Still worthy of being in my top 3.
Not if Howler and Lulu end up being siblings
Did they torture his holes too?
Howler lost
It's going to me the most memeable part, definitely. It's basically Nu-DiU
You can just smell the partsfaggotry brewing.
ik im in the monority here but high voltage is 100 percent anticlimax. there should have been a brief couple of chapters to explain the end of the race and get on with johnny mourning gyro. there is no need for this fight after the kino of d4c love train. it kills the hype reverts johnny's character after his greatest triumph. you will see tomorrow how lame it is.
Part 3 is also carried by characters for me, I really love the crusaders team
it kills the hype reverts johnny's character after his greatest triumph.
Like Johnny said, every time he's close to conquering something, it gets stripped away from him. Almost...kino in a way.
Part 2 is carried by JOSEFU JOESTER and Stroheim of course.
After we finish reading SBR you're not leaving, right? Anons, you are not going to leave me alone, right? Please don't tell me you are leaving, I really want to read jojo lion with you
spoiler
God I remember being completely fucking mindbroken when I realised that what I was reading was meant to be a conclusion to the part of sorts.
It has a rough start with some of those first battle be mediocre but it picks up and stays pretty consistent. I definitely like it the most partly because the setting is so cool and Johnny & gyro plus I like the big bad guys. The other parts had some issues in my opinion that felt more glaring to me. In part 6 side cast kinda sucks and a lot of the fights in the prison aren't enjoyable (the dumbass dragon stand made my drop the part for a while). Part 5 has Giorno who is boring along with the worst final fight in that arrow chase shit. part 4 it's not a issue more preference since I'm not really a fan of some of the slice of life stuff along with the father with the arrow is a bit contrived. Part 3 it's that the villain of the week get tiring and feels.more like araki messing around with stand ideas. Part 2 is great fun which is good but there's really not much there to chew on. Part 1 has a boring middle section and I didn't really care outside the Dio vs Jonathan stuff.
and the official colouring is gorgeous to boot.
Opinion discarded, not that you were doing so hot before that.
high voltage is the scouring of the shire of steel ball run
61
He doesn't give a lot of specifics but considering his age and the time frame of the arc it could only by the civil war.
Of course not, no way i'm gonna miss Jobbin' cope
You may be right but this volume was the first I've 100% enjoyed probably since Civil War.
ugh, you are so clingy. im out
This part in particular has a mostly memorable roster of villains.
Oh yeah I fucking love
retard kid
bug eye guy
black guy who keeps saying world
11 guys
The only good minor villains in SBR are Ringo and Blackmore.
finished sbr during the sites death and read up to shakedown road in jojolion. ill resume reading it when the threads get there but so far the only good fight in the part was born this way
I wound up shipping Gyro and Johnny. Their love is so pure
Sleeping Slaves, High Voltage, or Radio Gaga?
Hard disagree. You can really feel the resolve he has at this point, as opposed to the hopelessness he would normally express when put in these difficult situations. He responds differently here, he has matured. He has already reached the end of his character arc, but he still needs to finish what he started.
I forgot about part 8 which I didn't really like all remote stands as much and since a lot of the fights use them it's tiring. Also the main villain group sucks and understand some of the reason why they are written like they are but it's just not fun to read.
High Voltage imho.
It's actually a good fight where both opponents try their best to outwit each other.
I do somewhat agree.
The entire MIH arc happened in one volume and we saw in the storytime how the momentum never died down for even a moment.
If Araki really wanted to bring back The World, I think it would've been better served if it happened before Valentine's defeat.
Is Buccellati the most overrated character of all time?
Steel ball Run, this is... A story about -
uh-oh the corpse got stolen again!
holy fuark it's the world for some reason!
So far it's completely unnecessary fanservice that ruins high of the final boss fight, sullies the emotional moment of Johnny's win and Gyro's death, and makes Valentine even more of an inconsistent retard. In a vacuum it's not that bad but it shouldn't be after the climax of the story.
PPHK and One Man are the only ones from Valentine's goons who survived
one is crippled for life and the other lost his brothers/companions
and we saw in the storytime how the momentum never died down for even a moment.
To be fair, they didn't have the site die for 11 days right before the ending. Most don't even know Anon Babble is back up
Speedwagon.
I read it first and it has a place in my heart. The coloured fonts are weird but the pastel/watercolour look it has really suits the environments in my humble, discardable opinion.
hard agree with changing the placement. it woulda honestly worked better after og diego died in the train chace. could have been a replacement to the bear sign chapter perhaps
You shut your mouth, mama mafia deserves all the praise
Of course.
We will all try our hardest to count all the plot points that get dropped and to pinpoint the moment Araki had a stroke or got the Yes Man editor
"I read it first"
doubling down
Finding love with an Italian chad
I've been here since part 1 volume 1 and I'll be here until part 9 volume whatever. I'm not sure how DB Anon will handle the chapters that aren't in a volume yet.
THE SPIN DOING THAT!
I just realized those dinofleas came from Silver Bullet, which means Dio doesn't take enough care of his horse to keep it flea-free.
What a scumbag.
Nah that's Caesar easily
How does it make Valentine inconsistent? He's portrayed as a hypocrite piece of shit who was willing to shoot Johnny instead of honoring his promise, him bringing another Diego to ensure his goals are met and that Johnny dies is perfectly in character
...about the Steel Ball Run race.
...god taking the wrong son.
Sleeping slaves really wraps up the themes and parts but as a fight it sucks. I'll have to reread the jojolion one but I remember being confused as to why araki is showing this when it was coming out. It probably has some sort of theme or something that I missed. I really like high voltage the most even if it's not really improving the overall part like sleeping slaves. It's such a fun fight and one of my favorites in the series.
...killing the president of the United States.
4444
Fair point, but I think the momentum still would have slowed even without the 11 day outage.
Diegobros...the numbers don't lie.
Lulu says herself that she has no family. I don't like how the fandom makes up forced theories like these.
I HATE JOJOLION
I HATE JOJOLION
I HATE JOJOLION
I HATE JOJOLION
I HATE JOJOLION
I HATE JOJOLION
I HATE JOJOLION
I HATE JOJOLION
I HATE JOJOLION
I HATE JOJOLION
Mike O. is funny and I like his fight and 11 Eleven Men is great. Mrs. Robinson is forgettable yeah but that's because the fight itself barely lasts. And Pork Pie kid is the first instance of Tusk so it's hard to forget his fight even if the character sucked. Compared to other parts' side villains, SBR is up there IMO.
Sorry, but I'm out of here after this. I only hung around to appreciate my cute wife Johnny
...the second coming.
Either that or he deliberately planted fleas on Silver Bullet in order to turn them into dinosaurs.
Also
4444
How the fuck does this keep happening? Is it 'gravity'?
IT KEEPS FUCKING HAPPENING
also it's harder to take care of little pests when you're treking across the wilderness during a race. especially before modern anti-flea treatments.
joshu can you wait 2 days before stinking up this place?
Reminder that Valentine swore on his dead father's handkerchief and still betrayed Johnny.
11 Eleven Men
I need sleep...
he never had many bad feelings about him anyways and gyro knew his dad was right in some aspects
I'm expecting liquid diarrhea but at least I can shitpost with you fine anons
Disagree it shows how far he will go to spite Johnny which lines up with his characterization. If he was willing to kill Johnny instead of going through the deal which would have resulted with him in possession of the corpse, then him doing something else which isn't in America's interests to fuck over Johnny makes since.
>black guy who keeps saying world
My hero!
no more fujos after tomorrow
freedom
How could you...
he was selfish and delusional all the way through. weza would hate him even more than pucci
Mista...
not a bad tier list
It was also the second part I read after part 5 lmao, but this was a long time ago. I was young, naive, foolish even. I hadn't yet entered the True Man's World™.
Literally
and everybody clapped
Personally I think MiH is hampered by being so fucking goofy and having tonal whiplash
main characters are taking things seriously
constantly cut to hideous fucking Americans getting into waaaacky time warping shenanigans lmao
I was disappointed
Valentine really lies? No dignity.
Oyecomovabros...
Johnny jobbed WAY more than I remembered
his goals
That's just it. He has no way of knowing his goals will be met by Diego, he's just being vindictive against Johnny. Until then he was portrayed as keeping his promise to Lucy but breaking his promise to Johnny. Even ignoring this inconsistency, when he breaks his promise to Johnny there's nothing to indicate he doesn't actually still care about his goal of keeping the corpse in America and out of the hands of lowlifes from other countries. But then he hands the corpse to a foreigner lowlife. Why would Diego even take the corpse to this safe he set up in Manhattan? He has no way of knowing whether Diego will follow through. It's just an excuse to pull Diego back into this universe so Araki can bring back The World. It's a case where the arc isn't serving the narrative, the narrative is being twisted to serve the arc.
new yarokers come together and cheer on an underdog
araki TRACED spiderman 2002
2/10.
Reverse SBR. Starts out good and then Araki shits himself midway through
I started reading JoJolion when the last chapter dropped and instantly dropped it. hopefully reading alongside anons makes it enjoyable for me
For me it's High Voltage
I feel like Radio Gaga just caused more confusion instead of bringing any closure. It's like it had nothing to do with the part aside from a Tohru cameo. And we get to see granny Lucy and punchghost hapa Joseph I guess.
when some anon sets up a cytube
Part 6 niggers deserve the rope desu
>bug eye guy
I was trying really hard to remember who you're talking about, and then I realized you meant literally bugs in his eyes instead of someone bug-eyed. Doesn't help that the guy was only around for like 10 pages.
It was for justice, though.
We know, Jonathan.
I saw people last thread saying how this brought him down in their eyes, to me it showed how everything he did was to suit his interests, and all the bravado about his ideals and responsibilities as President were just him painting himself in a good light, potentially even tricking himself into believing it. He appears noble but ultimately isn't any more noble than any other character in the story. He IS a politician so it should come as no surprise. That's what I like about him and why his ending is so fitting.
imagine all the chad valentines out in the multiverse finding out it was the short fat version of him that got the jesusverse
The funniest shit is him being a guy who legit built an insect colony inside his eye just to build up the actual Stand users showing up later.
Well also I don't wanna waste time getting invested in a part that ends on such a nothing note again. Experiencing JJL once was enough. I imagine Anon Babble will hype it up to be contrarion though
High Voltage for me
loli FF
cute
Eleven Men
garbage character, garbage fight. Part 5 easily clears everything else in minor villains.
Politician/10.
Somehow the one antagonist who got on my nerves the most.
Do you think Johnny had a crush on Gyro?
Gyro was basically Johnny's nu-Nicholas.
if you dont believe that johnny and gyro are deeply in love you are a speedreader
Tall as fuck Kars
garbage character, garbage fight
I disagree.
t.Femoid
it dies with that fat fuck with the bills that cut
You have to struggle to tell what's going on half the time because Araki stopped being good at 3 dimensional movement for some reason and the guy himself is a mook with no character.
He moved from my #1 villain to maybe my #4, through no fault of his own.
This storytime just made me realize I like Dio, Pucci, and Kira even more, while my opinion of Valentine largely stayed the same.
He definitely loved him to a degree that I've never experienced
I mean jojolion has a lot of supporters outside of /here/. I see people jumping in to defend all it the time on most websites I've looked at. Saying how the main villain is the best and in fact really deep actually. Also that people who didn't like the ending don't understand it and need to reread it. Personally I think part 8 has very good qualities even if I'm not it's biggest fan like J8suke is probably the best written Jojo.
black guy who keeps saying world
you have just stated the worst opinion in the 「world」 of this thread
the main villain is the best and in fact really deep actually
Entirely based on headcanon.
Would Gyro have taken Valentine's offer?
I think it did a good job of showing how biblical things were getting
like J8suke is probably the best written Jojo.
Holy fuck, no he isn't. He became worse than Giorno by the end.
I see people jumping in to defend all it the time on most websites I've looked at
I've actually seen more JJL hate popping up now, but it's mostly directed at Toruu. I think people are finally realizing he's the worst main villain in the series.
I mean jojolion has a lot of supporters outside of /here/
And they should all kill themselves, as should you
Toruu
Man, I need to go to bed kek.
Saying how the main villain is the best and in fact really deep actually. Also that people who didn't like the ending don't understand it and need to reread it.
JJLfags operate under the same logic as VAfags?
Don't get your feefees hurt, it's just a jojoke
I think it was a tonally inconsistent mess
Diego...
he couldn't into the Red Ruler
Hard disagree.
Eleven Men were nothing characters and pretty much just glorified props, but they were props to facilitate kino moments like the casino shootout and Johnny giving over the corpse to save Gyro.
The Sugar Mountain arc needed an active villain that didn't overshadow the curse.
If they served their role in the story well, I can't hate them for being barebones.
I disagree but I suppose it depends how much the idea of self exploration in finding your place and who you are impacts you.
He wouldn't allow that scenario to happen because he's constantly using himself as a human shield to protect Johnny.
NTA but it's great if you like the idea of a shoot out in a saloon but with superpower fuckery involved. I do so I thought the fight was really cool. I also didn't struggle to understand what was going on.
J8suke is probably the best written Jojo
I was liking him a lot as I was going through it for the first time but the ending made me dislike him more than Gio.
Massive disagreement, Eleven Men is one of my favorites. It's extremely tense imo
The World Diego definitely isn't as funny as our Diego.
the world diego is wallmart diego
The casino shootout is the main issue.
The positioning of all the identical looking characters and a lot of the motions Johnny and Gyro take are hard to follow. If you go back to that part of the storytime, people were more specific in breaking it down.
Good villian tier list.
Why is it because of ** holly's fate? **
Gyro wishes he were as funny as this.
He's my third favorite villain behind Pucci and DIO.
J8suke is probably the best written Jojo
Yeah, at the start of the manga.
Honestly the only way I could feel positively about part 8 is if I received a severe head injury and forgot everything past Vitamin C.
Diego is unironically a top 3 character in all of Jojo, in my opinion.
Ah I fucked that up tsorry...
Actually, maybe 4th. I flip-flop between him and Kira a lot when it comes to that kek.
women literally contribute nothing to discourse beyond
I WANT TO FUCK THE HANDSOME MAN
I WANT TO SEE THE HANDSOME MEN FUCK
THE MALE CHARACTERS AKSHUALLY FUCK EACH OTHER BTW
Do you have anyone you would be willing to doom the rest of the world for, anons?
Underworld dug up the truth about Diego being a bad owner
I really feel like Johnny and Diego could have been good friends.
I am so glad part 8 will filter them harder than part 6.
No. Only my imaginary friend. But my imaginary friend cannot die as long as I live.
mad because you dont have a crippled twink who loves you enough to kill the president
Nah, he'd just keep comparing Diego's jokes to Gyro's and insist they're worse by virtue of hating him
Maybe my brother on a good day.
Diego is looking kinda like Fugo here
Johnny looks so different, Jesus.
Is SBR the part with the biggest change in art from start to finish, or is it DiU?
Why do you equate love to sex, is that all love is to moids?
No one because I'm a hikkineet.
Of course not. I will be "pursuing" the ending of "Jojolion" no matter what.
Is it because of yasuho or is because of rai?
It matters more how well those themes are actually explored and how well the wider story is executed in relation to those themes. The whole "discovering your own identity" thing reached a nice conclusion with Vitamin C and the flashback and everything. The "finding your place" thing fell short when Jousuke decided to dedicate himself to finding a way to fix Holly's condition, and then it ends with that plot point left unresolved.
Missed the Storytime
fuc
Valentine was infertile
Tooru was an incel
NOT MY VILLAINS
High Voltage is a good fight.
I love how fucking weirded out Johnny is by Diego
pointing like he's telling a stray dog to "go on, get!!"
Personally I think part 8 has very good qualities even if I'm not it's biggest fan like J8suke is probably the best written Jojo.
I'll save Holly!
jk nevermind
Gappy can rot
My mom but even then I'd know doing so would hurt another me who is fortunate to not lose her as early as I have.
Incredibly high highs and incredibly low lows
Many aren't actual Jojofags and Joshu has to be fujo repellent.
women literally contribute nothing
All you needed to say.
My mom :(
DiU. The initial transformation is very blatant since Josuke goes from a Jotaro sameface to a twink in like 10 chapters.
Oh agree on with you but
though I did find home finding his place in the family sweet at the end
It's highest highs are better then SBR but it's quality is so inconsistent between arcs saying that it gets close to SBR would be retarded
The world Diego should never have been a thing.
swears on his dead father in an attempt to be spared by Johnny
was going to kill Johnny if Johnny spared his life
even if Johnny did kill him, he dimension hopped and found Diego za warudo Brando and trusted him with the corpse just to try to fuck Johnny over from beyond the grave
he is such a piece of shit that he loops back around to being based
Fuck well anyways not a big deal
A lot of people praise JJL for silly reasons or reasons they made up in their own heads. They won't talk about the (actual) narrative after Vitamin C, because they themselves can't defend it. Or if they do, they're crossing headcanon territory.
Araki should have went with a three-way final battle if he really wanted a Rigger main antagonist.
We get that with Johnny though
if Diego's time stop doesn't extend to his horse, how did he steal the corpse leaving horseprints without Johnny noticing?
Dio does that but without showing that his pride is a farce.
Yeah I personally think they take them being rock human to explain why they are shit along with how it's about a curse so other stuff doesn't matter to far
Still the best manga i have ever read
The world picked up the horse and errrm well Johnny and Co were exhausted and off guard so they didn't the horse when time stop ran out.
He's a great villain and the fact that so many people actually think he was in the right is a testament to how well-written he is (or maybe retards just don't understand that he's a two-faced snake) but he's not Dio.
Honestly even I don't know why but you can give a villain a tragic backstory or a compelling motivation for their actions but in the end I'll always prefer someone who is just evil and looks cool while doing it.
Hot Take: Valentine was being honest about the deal BUT as a pragmatist he brought the gun in case things went awry. My proof in this is that if he really wanted to kill Johnny he would have brought Cringe Dio back with him to do a timestop rush.
jonathan would have never waivered against valentine even once
then why didnt he just pick up the gun johnny threw on the ground> Valentine has always been full of shit its like his main thing
Josuke didn't even get to really do much in the fight with Kira
What was Araki thinking?!
Actually the fleas came from Diego’s hair. He would never do his beloved Silver Bullet dirty like that.
did you not even read bites the dust? their fight was fantastic
He's back.
UH.
Yeah pretty much.
nice
What is he thinking?
Hermit Purple Act 4 Infinite Hamon
I took the wrong comedian
Saving this one for UH.
oops
Enough about J8suke.
What do you think of Joshu?
He really admires Johnny's ass
Most relatable Jojo character

the Gob Bluth of jjba
I wonder how much DP will beef up SBR Za Warudo considering their track record of making characters extra muscular.
KEK
Literally me
Forced meme in the fandom.
I agree he's becomes a full on villain because he's a vindictive and a hypocrite but if he wasn't then it would be hard to find fault with his goal(obviously excluding the attempted rape and him torturing/killing people). The fact is he's the president so it's only natural he would do anything in his power to ensure the citizens he's leader of prosper even if everywhere else suffers as that's his job. Does it make him a good person by doing this no but it's definitely understandable from his position. Now you could say araki should have removed these traits and made Valentine seem less like a villain and maybe that would have been better but Jojo villains are supposed to be unquestionably evil.
Lovable guy
Diego is the main villain. Valentine was always just a minor antagonist with a really like fight. Like Tooru.
Just say that you want me
Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da was the real mastermind of Jojolion
He should have grown out of inceldom and become a bro.
He makes me proud to be an American.
He has that one good sole arc but otherwise annoying meme character but I like how you think at the end he might have changed for the better but ends up still a scumbag
absolute unlikable piece of shit
but anons better deliver with the shitposts.
Maybe Joseph was right, maybe spinning strings actually do exist in this world
That's what makes him so funny.
Just like me frfr
He admits his plan was to kill Johnny no matter what when he talks to AU Diego. Valentine is vindictive so he must come out on top no matter what and that's his undoing. The fact he could have achieved his goal if he forgave Johnny is funny.
He's like Quagmire except rejected by ladies.
Jesus abandoned Valentine when he abandoned forgiveness
kino
weakest supporting cast/villains
final villain is a jobber bitch
apart from that, i like it
I've greatly enjoyed SBR but do agree that the way Hot Pants was written out was super weak. The fact folk were asking if she actually died is a bad sign.
Hot Pants
Who?
That guy who gave Johnny and Gyro burgers before meeting Ringo
It's almost as if Araki had a personal vendetta against her.
Araki would have treated her better as a man btw.
I haven't caught up to the last three volume
I need to read and get myself up at a decent time, I refuse to miss the finale with you all
Even better
I WEPT when Diego died but had a hearty kek at Hot Pants demise.
Femanon....
Anime will fix this easily but that's a common criticism of sbr. A lot of parts after 4 have unceremonious deaths I feel like. Part 5 has narancia, part 6 has a lot of deaths that aren't exactly ceremonies but it's fine for the final fight but I think FF death wasn't handled as well as I'd like. Part 8 has jobin
t.
My task is almost over.
Emoji ball run...
Once this is done you have to give your top 7 emojis.
Who in part 9 will get the dogshit death? My money is on Dragona
17 Gyro emojis in Vol 22
Yeah, Valentine's goal is noble. Johnny admits this. Araki admits this. You know Valentine believes in his goal because he was willing to die for it repeatedly and only got worried when it seemed like he'd be unable to achieve his goal.
But he is a piece of shit. He tried to rape Lucy. He put the train engineer in that fucked up trap. He lied to Johnny while swearing on his father's handkerchief and not only had a gun but had Diego waiting in the wings.
If Valentine had been a better person, there'd be little to no conflict in the story and he would have won and achieved his goal. And I think that's what makes him such a great villain.
Considering he is Jodio's brother who is willing to burn down a bus for him. Giving him a shitty death can potentially be harmful for the part's quality.
I hope not because that would really hurt the part since their sibling bond is essentially to jodio as a character. I think someone else like charming man is more likely.
people would be totally on his side if he wasn't a self-sabotaging piece of shit
peak American
I'm tired, boss...
Part 8 has jobin
Also Kei
Valentine's goal is noble
Except he was lying about the whole thing because he gave the corpse to a foreigner with no way to know Diego would protect America with it. His goal is "Vengeance against Johnny no matter what". How is that noble?
I can't believe Shigechi gets a better death scene than most characters in later parts especially in SBR and Jojolion. Really goes to show how far Araki favoritism goes.
Valentine's goal is to make himself into a supreme tyrant, everything else he says is just bullshit.
Have fun, anon.
Shigechi is argubly the best character ever made in fiction those other characters can only hope to lick his boot.
favoritism
*sense of humor
Shigechi is ugly and was a piece of shit in the lottery arc and therefore deserves to explode.
This is greatly important work you're doing anon, thank you
Toshiyuki...
Delivered, almost passed out but I just had to finish...goodnight
Valentine's goal is to make himself into a supreme tyrant
I was going to say for another 6 years at most because of term limits, but term limits didn't exist yet and Valentine's insanely high approval rating would mean that he could've totally been president for life.
Really great work, anon
Jodio emoji
And yet "people" hate George . . . Sad!

This is awesome.
I think a lot of these edits are childish and not particularly funny. Maybe you should give it a rest.

Disappearance
In December 1890 [18], President Valentine and/or First Lady Scarlet Valentine were attacked in their Chicago residence by unknown assailant[19][20], although this was not publicly disclosed until the following year [21][22]; The First Lady was unharmed but one federal agent was killed [20].
On January 17th, 1891[23] both President Valentine and the First Lady mysteriously disappeared after an incident in Philadelphia that left several federal and army personnel dead, missing, and seriously injured.[24][25][26] The public was not notified initially, with the first sign of something having gone wrong being the President's failure to appear at the closing ceremonies of the historic Steel Ball Run race.[25][26][27][28] The fate of President Valentine and his wife, Scarlet, remains a mystery [13][27][28]
This gave rise to many conspiracy theories[citation needed], although the one with the most support[original reasearch?] by scholarly research is that a train that made an unscheduled departure from Philadelphia and was later found derailed may be related to the President's disappearance.[29][30]
Something like this ever happening would be a hot conspiracy topic even today.
given the time period the next president can just blame valentines dissapearance on spain and kick off the spanish-american war a couple years early

Valentine is truly evil.
The Funniest Valentine was the first person in history to be named "The".

IT WAS A TRAINWRECK BECAUSE... IT JUST WAS OKAY?!
Jodio has definitely fallen asleep watching a video essay about Valentine's disappearance.
I just realized
Did we ever know who Valentine's VP was? Who was it that took over after he vanished?
Makes me think of that Aussie Prime Minister who drowned
Don't think Araki actually cared enough about the US political system to have thought about that rather important question
10/10
He's the best antagonist but the storytime almost made me love Pucci more than Kira
Valentine>Pucci>Kira>DIO>doesn't matter for me
honestly weird that it never got addressed. woulda been a no brainer stand fight
"drowned"
Vice-President fight before Valentine would have been kino. Maybe Diego and Hot Pants could have had their time to shine against him.
VP is trusted valentine bootlicker who is privvy to the corpse plan
is the actual guy who shot johnny
stand name: for those about to rock
Oh yeah, Pork Kid didn't die. It was funny seeing the storytime making a big deal out of Johnny and Gyro killing a kid like him.
Now all he needs is a stand ability that compliments Valentine's.
stand ability: can create an attraction between two objects the stand touches
valentine is a dumbass, if he just didn't pull a gun on johnny during the final fight he would've just let him go but instead he got smashed
I feel like knowing that the leader of a country has a backup in case he dies doesn't really require intimate knowledge of US politics.
Japan also has a deputy prime minister, for example, who serves largely the same role.
The issue is that he didn't know if he was going to convince him, right? So he probably brought a gun, and then when Johnny told him to touch it, he would have been fucked.
Why even bring a gun if you also have Diego? Just have Diego surprise murder Johnny.
There's no way a president could just disappear during an international event like the steel ball race without major repercussions. They wouldn't be able to find a culprit but SBR America would at least become ten times more xenophobic than irl America.
He didn't want to use Diego unless he especifically died. Otherwise he would double-cross Valentine instantly and unlike with Scary Monsters now he will grant him an instant death with The World.
Huh, I just realized if Diego got 'The World' instead of 'Scary Monsters' the story would have been over pretty quickly.
Can Gyro defeat ZA WARUDO Diego?
Well since that Diego was still alive it's possible he beat Johnny and gyro in his world.
I mean, he could peobably pull off some Bug-Eaten bullshit with spin, no?
I don't think gyro could but it would depend on the world's activation timing
Gyro who has perfect rotation could potentially tie with the world. Johnny could beat it since the "spin" would allow him to move in the world of stopped time by vibrating his own cells.
Easily the best villain in JoJo. Just an excellent central antagonist and his true debut in Philadelphia is fucking modern day legend waiting to happen if its adapted properly in the anime.
the entire SBR would be filled with conspiracy theories and urban legends
President and his wife vanishes without a trace
multiple "TERRORIST" attacks
all of the frontrunners except for a few die
the winner of the race also vanishes without a trace
the audience favourites' either disqualify or die on the very last leg of the race

There are probably manga about the Steel Ball Run inside the steel ball run universe
Is it coincidence that the known instances of Requiem was given to Stands called Gold Experience and Silver Chariot?
Rohan's manga is about the steel ball run race and that's why he's considered a great mangaka
Quick, somebody get a song name with Bronze in it
We should've gotten Crazy Diamond Requiem and Pearl Jam Requiem

The fact that stand aren't more known about in the Jojo world always come off as strange. I mean surely someone with a stand would reveal them to everyone and start showing it off to get attention. People would doubt it but it would be easy to show the stands ability even if they can't see the stand.
Do you show everyone your porn magazines?
a chunk of New Jersey gets eaten by the Atlantic Ocean
at least something good happened
For me, it's
7 = 2 > 6 > 3 > 4 > 5 > 1 > 8
2 Is hard carried entirely by Joseph being the most amusing protagonist I've seen in any manga. He's just absolute gold at all times.
Most stand users are self serving once they get one so making it public would put too many eyes on them, especially from the government
Also they'd think others have a stand that might interfere with what they want to do
There's definitely some idiots who do and I bet there's a idiot with a stand who'd do it.
The kind of people who do that don't get stands at all, or die very quickly.
You have to remember that JoJo is an entirely deterministic universe. Literally everything that happens was already pre-determined by FATE/GRAVITY
He's one of a kind.
If only pillarmen were more than silly memes.
Literally trump
If the Sheer Attack Heart arc teaches us something is that people who try to use their stands for good can easily get fucked over by other stand users.
Have they shown stands "birth" being deadly in the new universe? Also there are users have definitely show it off nonchalantly like in part 4 by having there business rely on it.
Some Stand users talk about it on Anon Babble, but normal people see them as schizos.
swap 5 and 1 and it's my exact ranking, good taste anon
Switch 3 with 5 and this is acceptable.
An Alex Jones type conspiracy show is made talking about things in jojoverse
"Everyone tells me I'm crazy but I'm not! I have a stand right? It lets me see things as they really are! And I'm telling you, funny valentine, our dear president was killed the famous jockey Johnny Joestar! Why else would he move to Japan? To escape the government! Also people have tried to criticize me about this in the horse racing community but I'm sorry to tell you this but Diego Brando is not the one from our world! He's a clone! Look at the star on his horse's head at the start of the race and the end!"
Pretty sure most people just straight up don't have stands at birth and develop them later. The only two exceptions we've seen were
Death 13
Somehow fully cognizant as a baby
Shizuka
Possibly shot with the arrow? But also no mother? If there was a storyline behind he we'll never know, but she definitely wasn't a normal baby.
5 stays ahead because it has Bruno and some extremely good fights like Metallica. Part 1 was just too short.
Oh no I was talking about how in the old universe when a stand arrow or something activated your stand and you weren't worthy you die. Now this is a little bullshit since I think only holly got fucked by this.
I've watched every jojo up to gold requiem and literally all of them suck besides part 2 and the part 4 dio fight.
Is this one worth watching or is it usual standfaggotry?
Johnny Joestar dies suspiciously years later
even non-conspiracyfags would think the race was cursed or something
part 4 dio fight??
No way la squadra fights were some of the best fights for the lackeys in Jojo.
I reckon at least a few people think Johnny killed Valentine in the SBR verse. I wouldn't be surprised if some Joestar or Zeppeli heard about what actually happened from their great, great relative and then decided to write a book about it
the part 4 dio fight
H-how do I unlock this fight, chat?
You forgot? That's how they finally saved Okuyasu's dad.
This is a story about breaking a curse.....................
Stand users are a tiny minority though, and a lot of them use their abilities to do illegal/immoral activity and don't even live long
You probably won't like it since it follows a similar formula as the previous parts were you go from one stand battle to the next.
Giorno sucks
GER sucks
Diavolo sucks
Trish was irrelevant
Prosciutto and Pesci was a top 10 fight but that's about it
Koichi was going to die until Josuke healed him, which is why his stand started out as an egg.
Full terrorist
I wonder how Johnny would react
GER and Diavolo are cool as fuck.
To be fair, Koichi got shot through the neck
His policies were docile like a winter catfish
In concept
In execution it was bad
You know what's weird about the Prosciutto and Pesci fight? That Bucciarati shat on Pesci for wanting to kill his crew. How was that anything other than the right choice? He was already dead. There was no way he was beating Bucciarati. Getting rid of Bucciarati's crew meant that the next squadron member would have had a way easier time.
Is it really just because he said he was going to kill them instead of just doing it?
Reminds me of the /stand/chan thread we had ages ago
And Angelo got shot through the head. The arrow heals anything it shoots if you're worthy.
No, even in execution. You can rightfully complain about the final confrontation not getting an actual fight at most despite the cool sequence, and Diavolo is a great villain.
Probably some code of honor thing. Like at least try to finish off Bruno before after the rest of the squad.
*before going after
I agree with your points aside from Diabolo since his stand is cool and while not the most interesting his split personality is fun and he works well with the theme of fate. Giorno does suck but he's not the focus for most fights so he doesn't drag them down. Trish is wasted potential but it's not enough to make the part bad. I just think it's got a lot of good going for it that the bad doesn't destroy the good though the final battle(the arrow chase) being so shit is the biggest problem.
Well, that's retarded. His head was literally snapped sideways. It was either die or die while taking them out.
1776/10
Diavolo is a great villain
Hard disagree
He is at least above Toru but that's it
It was the right thing to do strategically to help out the rest of the Hitman team. But for Bruno, it goes to show how much he cares for his team.
So we can all agree that this was the most funniest moments in JOJO, right?
Sex with johnny
KC carries him that much. His schizo paranoia is also pretty funny.
All he had to do was toss away the gun.
I liked Joseph playing dead and crawling while Wammu was looking at Shiza. Also
I understand him leaving me to die but Speedwagon?
cracked me up.
definitely holds up, love johnny and gyro even more than I did before
carried by his stand
Just like Toru.
This is true and I don't give a fuck if fags here thinks it's "le reddit" opinion. It's not about "being nuanced", Johnny and Gyro and not nuanced, they lack "core" character (like Diego has for example). And as you said, this is a problem for most Jojos, and Joseph feels the most "concrete" of them all. Unironically still the best and most enjoyable character Araki created.
WoU is also shit thoughever.
The take that came up when the chapter was dumped was it because Pesci was doing out of cringe pettiness (for himself) instead of based teamwork (for his team)
It's funny to shitpost about but it's not a bad moment. The point of mentioning him dying of a cold (could have been later in his life mind you) is that he WASN'T executed - he died naturally, not in some unfair power struggle for royalty. He got to live as he should have, and that is what Gyro was fighting for. It's not like he was trying to win the race so that the kid would become immortal and never die, it's so he wouldn't die an early and unfair death for a crime he didn't commit.
It is. But there is this ongoing narrative that "Toru may be bad, but his Stand is GREAT". That's how people cope with JoJolion, and they do the same thing with pre-Vitamin C/post-Vitamin C.
Killing 4 of Bruno's teammates in one fell swoop was the right move, but for the wrong reason.
If he was doing it so that the other Squadra members would have an easier time, then he'd be a badass to the end and Bruno would probably respect him for it (and kill him anyway).
But he did it to make Bruno feel despair, which made him a piece of shit.
Johnny and Gyro and not nuanced, they lack "core" character
Elaborate
JoJolion is my guilty pleasure of JoJo parts. Objectively a lot of it shit's itself but i can't help but enjoy what it does right even in spite of it all.
I like this moment too. It's a touching redemption. Grief can make us do things we will regret. He went before an audience and told them he was an asshole to his son for years. It took courage to do this.
Not a lot of parents will say I was wrong
I think that no part of JoJo is actively bad even if they're disappointing. I'd still rather read VA or JJL over most shonen slop any day of the week.
Negative opinions just get amplified here, especially since there's really no where it's actually worthwhile to discuss this series.
For each part:
Speedwagon's burning abs
Joseph peeping Lisa Lisa (even funnier once in retrospect after the part is over)
The Joseph x Avdol moment
Josuke and Okuyasu being jewish bastards during Harvest
Mista touching himself in Trish's body
Anasui begging Jotaro for marriage approval
Diego being autistic during Scary Monsters
I guess the large fries songand also the memes (raughs)
Unironically, all Jojo parts are good and there's nothing wrong with enjoying JJL.
I think most people agree that JoJo at its weakest is still better than the average shonenslop.
Really hope the final op says world somewhere just so alt diego can burst in
If there's a way I could describe Jojolion is that it is the least vanilla Jojo part. And by this I mean the most unhinged, insane, unusual, weird, absurd, and bizarre Jojo there is. Sometimes in good ways but also in many other bad ways.
And the thing is, Johnny actually would have let him go because, unlike Valentine, Johnny actually keeps his word.
Diego is so real for this
10/10 best villian in the series and is unlikely to be surpassed
I wonder what happened to the last of the 11 men after all of this.
unlikely to be surpassed
Trust the plan.
Diego was just sitting underground with his horse while Valentine was negotiation with Johnny. I know this is cope but I like to think Valentine just changed his mind last minute which is why he didn't use D4C to send his gun back
Interestingly, in EoH, Valentine is the only antagonist who doesn't side with DIO.
youtube.com
thinking this rich kid is anything but a "cog" in Jodio's "mechanism"
Why didn't AU DIOgo just stop time and assassinate Johnny in the middle of his gunfight with Valentine?
Pretty much. A bit better actually since I have grown a better understanding of themes as I aged
DIO plays it safe since Valentine told him that even getting grazed by Johnny will be an OHKO.
This. He doesn't lose anything by just waiting.
AU Diego watched Valentine die and said KWAB.
I'm attracted to things I hate. So I'll be reading Jojolion while listening to Bloc Party, Radiohead, and Muse.
So did Valentine give AU Diego Manhattan so he's stay in America? Was Diego a wannabe Yankee off screen?
... learning to walk, both literally and metaphorically.
youtube.com
At the very least, DP better do Ball Breaker & Lesson 5 justice.
valentine sealed his fate as a villain when he hurt slow dancer
I just remembered that Jojolion will be a fujo free part like Stone Ocean :D
King Crimson will appear in part 9 btw
he doesn't know
You poor bastard.
Not only is he not American, but he'd probably take replacing Johnny as an insult. He'd let his Steel Balls make peace with Valentine right then and there.
It was the point, if he really, honestly, 100% want to talk and struck a deal, there should be no weapon on him. All negotiations work like this
The fact Valentine have a gun mean he was not all in
King Crimson will 'skip' Part 9 and appear in Part 10 if Araki feels like doing it
fujo free part
Anon...I...
Valentine cried btw.
He's too old to be the rising beast fans claim him to be. He's gonna be the Diego or Jobin of part 9. Maybe he has a younger or more intimidating brother that'll be the main villian
Can we have a 2nd afterparty thread?
Mostly fujo free then. They'll have an arc or 2 to run wild
I wouldn't miss my beloved Kei Nijimura for the world.
No rules against it, but we usually only do multiple afterparty threads after the last volume of the part.
I read Jojolion but only after it ended so I never got the luxury (or misfortune) to see real-time reactions of the ending so I will be around. Not sure if I want to reread along, however.
too old
Valentine is one year older.
I do not trust Nuraki with delivering.
And he was pretty static character wise throughout the entire part. What I'm saying is Acca is a bitch now and he's too old to stop being a bitch. We can't have a bitch as the main villain
Yes. I fucking love these dinguses. If they remove their little goofy moments from the anime, I'm gonna kms.
I miss Jolyne...
This is a manga, not real life. Araki can easily make the character grow if he wants to.
Good.
Johnny only ORAORAORA'd at the very end when he'd earned it
Arakino
Pucci > Valentine
I really love that it's his one and only stand rush in the series. Even better since he's tracing his best friends ORA's. Almost like they're beating down Valentine together.
Thoughts on Johnny J. Joestar?
He really grew on me as I kept reading. Definitely in my top 3 favorite JoJo's.
10/10, his almost successful attempt of convincing Johnny he was the hero of the story was one of the best moments in the franchise and in general he was pretty fun to follow. I can't take seriously the people who believes he was justified or "selfless", he wanted to conquer the world like DIO but he just worded it more nicely.
I am afraid but I really want to check if Jobin was as prominent as I believed or I just deluded myself after so many years without a clear antagonist.
We can't have a bitch as the main villain
Kira was a bitch through and through.
Because the next part doesn't have a real main villain, I am going to miss the "the jobber failed? send the jobber#2" running gag.
Agreed strongly.
I like to bitch about Jojolion, but it's only because the other 7 parts set my expectations so high.
We can still sort of do it. The rock humans are all working for Toru, aren't they? Or is it just the TG Hospital ones?
You know this is bait because nobody likes Hermes.
I love how it's voiced in the games. Like you can feel the anguish from Johnny's ORA's and it's emotionally satisfying considering how much Gyro meant to Johnny. I really hope the anime makes it sound as good.
nobody likes Hermes.
Despite that guy trying to gaslight everyone into thinking it was bad, to me it got better. I used to only like the Lucy and Diego sections and didn't care much about JoJo, Gyro or Valentine, but during the reread I could connect better with them by understanding they just had daddy issues.
Cutest Jojo.
meme post
Get real, anon.
For me it was the other way around. I always loved Johnny, Gyro, and Valentine. And I thought Lucy was just a plot device and Diego was fanservice.
Now Diego is a top 3 character for me and Lucy is probably a top 10.
I mean, I don't dislike her at all, but that's genuinely the first time I've ever seen her ranked above Gyro in a Jobro listing kek.
The only good crybaby MC in shonen/seinen
I think the whole "corrupt politician" interpretation of Valentine comes from people thinking that it sounds right rather than what's actually seen and written in the story. I genuinely think Valentine believed in what he was saying because it wasn't like he was talking directly to the viewer His actual moral flaw was his willingness to put anything on the chopping block for his plan, including the rest of the world, some of the racers, and those 2 American civilians.
Here's another thread idc
I think people are projecting their hatred for orange man onto Valentine and their dads onto George and Gregorio
