flcl does impact you differently depending on when you watch it. i watched it a lot when i was around 10, and my brain was able to keep up with the speed of the show. the tonal changes feel like whiplash as an adult, and while i still like it, i can see how it's too much for some.

While I feel like Parasyte is amazing and an interesting look into what makes us human, my favorite is Dorohedoro which questions what is normal, is anyone evil and it has fun with itself. The anime is ass though and shouldn't exist.

I found bocchi really boring just because it was lame wish fulfillment without particularly driven plot or characters but with a female mc instead of the usual man; only thing it meaningfully has going for it are the visual gags but they weren't enough to carry me through how much of a slog the plot was. The other bocchi anime is a much more fun take on social anxiety imo
