Fully model-rendered titles are finally starting to get more popular

Fully model-rendered titles are finally starting to get more popular

They primarily use it for band shit rather than action.

Why? It seems to me that this is built for action. They already constantly replace the collossus titan with a render in action because it's too expensive to actually draw it but it just ends up looking bad because it stands out as it's the only thing rendered, if the entire title were rendered it'd look fine.

Fight scenes are made for rendering to be honest.

imagine giving a fuck about some stupid bullshit like this.

Idolfags will lap up anything, so it's a safe experiment.

You clearly don't even notice all the action involved in the great mocapping of the concerts.

I kind of like that unlike most “idol groups” this is an actual band. As in one vocalist and actual instruments rather than everyone singing. Though to be honest they might as well go Full Hollywood undead and have everyone sing and play instruments which isn't a bad idea at all, especially if they all have different vocal styles.
One of these bitches needs to be on scream duty at least.

band shit is more profitable, duh. you got cd's, live concerts, gatcha games. how do you profit off action anime?

3D is only a bad medium if it's poorly animated

I don't know, by the fact that it's massively more popular probably.
Ave Mujica is pretty small compared to say Chainsaw Man.

It is simple, idoltards will watch anything that has their favourite seiyuu regardless of quality.
People who watch action shows for the action despise 3d because it will always look like shit.

gbc mogs bang dream

3dcg

You and the idolshitters can have this shit, just don't leave your containment threads

I don't think it is even be possible for an idol anime to be less profitable than Chainsaw Man.
Even if every girl were an ugly hag voiced by a huge slut, it would probably still sell more.

Why?

Because they were the only ones smart enough to invest in it. It took a long time but it's seriously paying off now. And because these concert scenes would be a lot harder than you think in 2D. Not just the precise movements but all the camera rotations that you just can't reasonably do on a budget with traditional animation. This shot would likely be little better than a panning still with blurred fingers to simulate motion if it were 2D.

Toei did a great job. If only GBC would have full length song performances, though. Oh, and a season 2..

Both are great.

needing 3DCG to accurately model playing instruments

*laughs in sakuga*

Yeah, and that just means you're stupid and out of touch with reality due to spending too much time online.
It's very hard for anything to outsell something as big as Chainsaw man and the animation was also far more expensive than some random idol shit. You people really spend too much time online and don't realize just how obscure idol shit is in comparison to big budget action that everyone knows.

Basic example: the first episode of Girls band Cry has 300 000 views
Chainsaw Man's first episode has 25 million views. That should tell you how big the difference in scope is. It just doesn't compare how big of a difference these two worlds are.

I don't think you understand what profit means.

You said “sell more” anon. It doesn't.
You spent far too much time on the internet an think cute girl anime in general is anything more than a small afterthought not one cares about compared to big budget action.

First, both me and the anon you originally replied to said profit.
More importantly, neither views nor budget mismanagement are sales. Idolshit has multiple revenue streams, all of them decently profitable even for small franchises.

No, the word profit doesn't appear in my post, it says “outsell”. Obviously the difference with sales and profit is that profit is after production costs are subtracted from sales, and yes, production costs are much higher for Chainsaw man but sales are also so much higher that in the end profit will be more but I was only talking about sales and commenting on the sales part.

Chainsaw man like stuff has multiple revenu streams too. But it's just such a bigger world and some people on Anon Babble have seriously lost touch with reality in how they often think that completely obscure girl titles no one has ever heard of can compete with huge Franchises like Chainsaw man. Or like... consider something Pokémon or Yuugiou where obviously people are buying cards and all the other merch around it, that is so much bigger than any random idol shit because well.. it targets normal teenagers, of which there are many, rather than absolutely loser foreveralones, of which are aren't.

Nyamu is so hot.

some people on Anon Babble have seriously lost touch with reality

Yes. I live within my own realm of imagination/reality. And you can't do anything to stop me.
Every passing day I get closer to Nirvana.

Nothing but truth in this post, to be honest.

These "obscure girl titles" are multimedia franchises. Trying to preach while having zero idea of what you're talking about beyond your juvenile shounen shit is hilarious.

Kind of like the difference between that and Ave Mujica's 90 million views on bilibili.

their favourite seiyuu regardless of quality

Only really applies to the MyGO band since they’ve got freaking Hina Youmiya. In Ave Mujica, none of them are popular enough to have a big fanbase following them (except maybe Meishan (Okada Mei) from D4DJ, but even that’s tiny compared to Hina Youmiya).

I really hope you don't actually believe Chainsaw Man is anywhere near close to being worthy of being named alongside Pokemon or any TCG when it comes to sales or popularity.

I know they are, at least this one, and even with that, they're still incredibly small compared to something like Chainsaw man, which is also a multimedia franchise by the way.

You're also retarded that you think I watch Chainsaw man just because I recognize it's far more popular but apparently you can't see that difference any more completely stuck in your own world.

Anon, this is some small obscure band. This isn't some giant rock band or something. Have you for instance looked at the production values of their video clips? Their youtube channel has 125k followers, that's nothing. They don't even have their own Japanese Wikipedia page and just share it with the entire Bang Dream franchise.

You think these obscure idol groups in Japan are actually super big phenomena that lead the charts or something, they aren't; they're small underground bands and the people in them can't support themselves with it most of the time or even make a loss of it because they have to pay for their own clothes.

Which video? Because that website doesn't work that way, like what Chainsaw man video are you comparing it with.

I don't, and it isn't, I'm just saying that there is a lot of action that's multi franchise too and that the idea that no action will outside idol shit is just weird.

Can you still remember Pokémon when it was big? It was everywhere, your gandmother heard of it. You think your grandmother knows Ave Mujica exists? It just doesn't compare.

action is much harder to do it "right". Music stuff's movement is limited to the person or to the stage even if they're dancing. Action covers more ground, need to accentuate action, travel, and inertia and it's harder to do it "right". It's a privilege that only big gacha companies can afford right now for anime.

Now use BanG Dream as an example instead of GBC. In China, it’s as big as Attack on Titan, and most of the profit from any franchise actually comes from merch, not anime sales. Like when was the last time you see CSM selling any merch?

muh views

Are you 12 or something?

Can you still remember Pokémon when it was big?

Anon, nothing has and nothing will ever compete on the same level as pokemon in its heyday. It is retarded to even bring it up on the same breath as a failed seasonal anime like CSM. To this day, almost 30 years later, it is still the highest grossing franchise in the planet. You clearly have no idea what you are talking about if you think these metrics are comparable in any way.

On what website, 9anime again?
On 9anime

Bang Dream first episode: 50 000 views

Ave Mujica: 250 000 views

MyGo: 75 000 views

And any source that it's as big as Attack on Titan, seems very unlikely, and yes, Chainsaw man sells merch too. Like, in mainstream stores. It probably sells far more in terms of absolute numbers though proportionally to viewers it might sell less.
You know you can buy plushes, shirts, mugs, stands, figurines and all that from Chainsaw man right? Far more, and in far more mainstream stores.

Yes anon, that's how you typically judge how popular something is.

And no, that anon claimed that no action title can can ever outsell idol shit. I'm just pointing out that all the biggest things ever were action titles and that they do outsell idol shit and I used Pokémon and Yuugiou specifically as examples of action titles that primarily sold due to their surrounding merch because that anon claimed action titles can't do that, that's all.

because the new age band tards came from outside of the original anime audience so they can get them to watch it easier since most of them didn't even see the appeal in anime until their favorite band did the OP or something.

9anime

I'm speaking to a fucking retard. Other users already told you about the 90 mil views on BiliBili. Even some chinese grandma knows about it. They watch it with their family like it's an Asian Night Drama / Soap Opera.

Negro
Love Live on its lowest outsells bandori, Chenso and AoT
And the chink-themed anime outsells the 3.
So selling better is not a factor on whatever you are sperging.

9anime

Lol
Lmao even

that's how you typically judge how popular something is

No, it isn't. Not even by e-celeb standards are views a relevant metric, let alone when talking about media franchises.

And no, that anon claimed that no action title can can ever outsell idol shit

No one claimed that.

Bandori bands only did OP and ED for Vanguard anime.
If you dont know Vanguard then your point is groundless.
So fuck off tourists

OP talking about why is there not more 3DCG for action anime

thread somehow devolved into CSM vs Mujica

This is a more retarded thread than average.

go read the Japanese comments on this PV, then how about you tell the actual BAND tourists to fuck off instead of me dumbass bandtard

9anime

Holy shit I'm stunned by your stupidity. 9anime views has nothing to do with sales.

Kyoani is just special. What they do isn't something you can expect the rest of the industry to be able to do. Animating instrument playing properly is actually harder than animating fight scenes, and that's part of the answer to OP's question.

There is an action show from the same studio that made Ave Mujica airing this season. It's called GUILTY GEAR STRIVE: DUAL RULERS.

The only reason they use 3D graphics is to save money in the first place. Cheap concepts need cheap production.

samefag

CG is fucking shit and you are a cancer that threatens anime. Fuck off!

Taking an L this badly

Slop slurpers are a pretty sad bunch.
Excuse the porn.
