The rec chart that broke Anon Babble
"Essential" implies that I will be killed if I don't watch them, but I'm still alive. Will have to dismiss this one, sorry. Get back to me later and we'll go over it, revise some things. Thanks.
how would you even watch some of these? Aren't some episodes of 8 Man lost or something?
This does not match any dictionary definition. Cogito ergo sum.
No. There's a handful of Atom episodes with no digital video footage that were replaced with storyboard composite footage on DVD, but that's it.

Alea jacta est.
Seen a good few of those. Beautiful Dreamer, DYRL, and Patlabor 2 absolutely need to get seen more.

> : something necessary, indispensable, or unavoidable
explain how I wouldn't be killed if I don't watch them. mm..that's right you can't.
None of these words imply life-or-death necessity. Refine your vocabulary, spurt.
Where's Bocchi the Rock?
Hey, I've seen 9 and a half of those
necessary = implies necessity, it's impossible on a philosophical level to not watch > impossibility of a contrary order or condition
unavoidable = it can't be avoided
yes, they do? esl much?
Unless you mean to imply it goes above life-or-death. I shouldn't even exist. I avoided watching an anime. But watching it is unavoidable. Since I avoided it, my existence itself is wrong. In a way, this goes beyond concepts such as life and death.
Let's see you survive without your mom's essential oils.
Anime from before 1970 is too old to watch, but by and large this chart is very good. Bravo.
you are babby
Stop posting your shitty chart.
Why do Jap critics treat Keiichi Hara's boring ass movies like they belong with the greats?
Based all around but
Kihachiro Kawamoto
really makes it. Fantastic stuff.
murata
no tsukinomiya no oujo-sama
lol
Heidi
This aired on TV when I was a kid and I remember being BORED out of my fucking mind
Please do tell why you think anyone should give it a chance
Why recommend untranslated anime?
Mostly sane, missing a lot but most will.
Toei movies + 1001 Nights + Sabu and Ichi’s Detective Tales is worth watching.
You mean the rec chart that barely anyone on Anon Babble uses.
Nah, pretty much all the episodes are in tact. There was even a blu-ray release on the 60th anniversary. The DVD raws and the Tobor the Eight Man dub have been on Nyaa for a while as well.
Dunno if you'd want to watch it unless you've got a special interest in anime from a historical perspective, though.
I've never seen the anime, but I did read the book when I was 10 or 11. It is technically children's literature, but I can see how it'd be boring to really young kids that can't quite grasp character drama yet.
Shit is so dusty I sneeze just by looking
chart has evashit shoved in it
I will now not read your chart
Is there a common theme? Pre-70s titles are mostly experimental and are interesting for reserach purposes but are hardly influential in the long run, 70s are influential in setting up the standards, and after that it's a mix of popular, artsy and just random stuff.
t. buys essential oils
Aren't these kinds of charts supposed to have joke titles sprinkled in to troll anyone who would take them seriously? It's the joke that Utena is good and not just gay?
I'd say the joke entry was "Au Fou!" but it's actually one of the more tolerable Yoji Kuri shorts.
Actually a pretty decent chart
It's a decent enough mix of historically/aesthetically important stuff, fan favorites, and recommendations from whoever made the charts.
The only real criticism I've got is the seeming aversion to mecha anime besides Mobile Suit Gundam and Evangelion. Like they're afraid nobody will take them seriously if they put Tetsujin #28 or Mazinger Z on there.
I've seen most of these and is I still like moeslop
Sabu and Ichi’s Detective Tales is worth watching
This. Also worth reading if you like detective stories and jidaigeki.
Why are boomer like this
A couple of these are very much precursors to moe anyway.
surprises me how many of the shows out of this pretentious chart I've actually watched. Thought It'd be less
Why did anime move from white and black? I wish we could go back
Intellectual onanism is reserved for those with the ability to differentiate between a palatal approximant and a vowel (iacta - not jacta).
Kek, you btfoed him so hard.

to be fair you have to have a very high iq to understand eva
Why did anime move from white and black?
It was over when they improved color televisions and made them available to the average Joe.
