I just finished re-reading JoJolion and Kei absolutely did not have to die. There was no reason or benefit to the story or characters from it. And Holly not being cured at the end is still such bullshit

On the flip side, regarding the most infamous thing The flash forward actually does make sense. The problem is Araki presented it in such a confusing way. The first half of it shows the family laughing in the living room before Hato asks Tsurugi to go get Norisuke. Then it cuts to the future where Tsurugi (after reminiscing on the good times before the Calamity struck) goes to get Norisuke's body bag for the ambulance downstairs right after the Tooru fight. THEN it cuts to the present with Tsurugi and Mitsuba at his school.

The biggest problem is that there was virtually zero reason to include it other then confusing everyone for years about how the flashforward would make sense. And the whole "time until the Rokakaka fruit is ripe" thing was just Araki straight up lying to the audience
