Tamayura has a lot of heart and a good story, unlike this soulless crap. You’re just talking out of your ass because you don’t even remember how long it’s been since you watched Tamayura. I just picked it up recently, and this 2010 show holds up just as well as Yama no Susume.
What really sets a good SoL show apart is the heart, and that’s exactly what separates it from soulless, shallow garbage like Mono.

I neither watched Mono nor Zatsu Tabi nor Hibimeshi. But I was asked because of the synopsis of Mono and Zatsu Tabi sounding very similar ans I'm interested in watching one of them. I've also heard that Hibimeshi is also similar. Is it some Chivalry of a failed knight/Asterisk War thing? Last year there were also Girls Band Cry and the jellyfish anime whose first episodes were very similar.

I'm no skateboarder or fan of the sport, but downhill skateboarding seems dangerous as fuck, especially going down a 2000+ meter mountain. There are assholes who do dangerous shit while going downhill on a bike, but bikes have brakes and it's easy to manage your speed and safety, while on a skateboard it feels like suicide, or at least broken bones.
