So what was the spire meant to be?

So what was the spire meant to be?

Human progress.

Shapes are meant to represent this impure existence that has the worst aspects of both things it is trying to fully embody. Don't want this thread to be nuked but you could imagine what class of sexuality that description corresponds to today.

My dick

Sorry are meant the obelisk or voice of the city.

obelisk.png - 1152x612, 973.29K

The spire is a conduit for those of the city(collective) but also with a will of its "own".

Dead people + Lux’s underground environment = raffia
Raffia = bio-organic material that suppresses organ transplant rejection
Obelisk = Big USB stick for a program that takes the genetic memory in raffia, correlates it, turns it into a prediction of the future
Texhnolyze = HDMI cable, takes the genetic memory and visual information from raffia and sends it to Obelisk
Ran = biological Wi-Fi, receives future predictions to her brain through her nervous system, observes the city from eyes of Texhnolyzeds and sends important images to Oonishi
Oonishi = encrypted message decoder + Lux's unofficial crisis manager
Kano = trojan
Yoshii = Windows Defender
Ichise = you

Perfect, now you too can see into the future which is actually the present.

I concluded some of this, but from what did you imply the idea of Raffia being able to predict the future? Also I would say Yoshii is more against the entire thing then for it as he was a foreigner against Onishi and by proxy the obelisk's influence.

Ah yeah, I wrote that in a hurry. Yoshii is more like goodware while Kano is like malware, and Oonishi is the Windows Defender. As for future prediction, it's pure speculation.

That looks like Scout

Yoshii is the "bug" retard, because he ruined the entire timetable for the plan which Kano is successor too. He is also like a christ figure because he martyrd himself to save the denizens from eternal slavery. He is "man", like the scraps of true man in which all the exiled criminals of the underworld still possess somewhat. As seen manifest the most pure in the protagonist. The world of apathy already exists above ground and yoshi is the only one who is not dead like them. So yoshi is also pseudo gnostic as he was sent "from above".

Kano is the end result of the second attempt of the failed project that is upstairs(cyborg and not pure human). He is the logical conclusion of the entire ordeal but rushed/forced. This was ultimately because of yoshii though.

You've got it completely backwards because unfortunately you're a cog and not the clockmaker.

My favorite character is Kano retard

he's pretty smug for someone living inside a pupae

Exactly my point, but this is simply a case of you misunderstanding the intent of the author. You would be correct of the author actually liked kano as you do.

Raffia doesn't predict the future, it contains pseudo memory through brain tissue and also epigenetics. Also general genetics for predictive behavior. Of course it's science fiction tier in implementation but you understand the intent behind it.

Why does this look like a animorphs cover?

What is he morphing into?

These threads always die fast but i never have anything to say. Watched the show a year ago and it was of the best viewing experiences I ever had. If you had to summarize, what would you say the show was about?

The cycles of human civilization or the human condition; but that's just the overarching narrative. It's also about more human dilemma but on a personal universal level.

A display of death and rebirth but only the agonizing death part of the process. No time to explain get into the minecart Ichise, it's time megarape.

It's out of character for me to like Yoshii because IRL I'm a pussy who could never rise to his call, but I still think he's really cool. He reminds me a lot of Hitler so that might also have something to do with it; guy is really charismatic and level minded. I really enjoy his whole amor fati shtick, although again I'm too narcissistic to be that cofident.

Like I said ona older thread.
I see this as a story of making bad choices, looking from Ichise point of view. For me is easier to digest this way...

I felt like dying watching the series. j2nms

Funny thing, the threads are dying fast because thats the metaphor of this series. You watch it, and with each episode you feel death closing in.

The threads are short because nu/a/ or anime watchers in general don't even pick it up and of the few that do; Many are FILTERED by the opening segments with little dialogue.

Haha, but can't we enjoy suffering? It's pretty common nowadays for people to romanticize/celebrate their loneliness or self-detractions. "Autism" is a good example. Everyone says "my autism" and things like that so often that it's like they enjoy flaunting it.

he doesn't get the show

Holy filtered

WW2 survivor reference?

It's also easier to talk about other anime because they have memes and phrases that can get used over and over to bump threads. Evangelion threads will always flourish because all someone has to do is say "asuka best girl" to bring the reply count to at least 200. Similar things are present in a lot of other popular anime, but not really texhnolyze.

I was just saying we could still have threads and enjoy the feelings the show gave us.

I watched the version where it was subbed as "Lukus" and that prevented me from understanding that it was the city of light.

Let's leave the part with all the vital organs totally unarmored

Man, Kano was really dumb.

show made you suffer or blackpill

op armor with an obvious weakness is a good trope and why he's KINO

the sad ending didn't make me sad

It was only sad on some level, but the protag died with no regrets.
