I personally have her as my favorite. The overall Cure dynamic feels a bit incomplete without her.
One thing I haven't looked into is when it is fully new years. Meeting the first light on the new years is something interesting rather than staying up till midnight; also much easier to manage with kids.

Finally we are at the real meat of the episode. The battle itself was pretty lackluster as the Gaogao was fairly week, made a lot of noise, knocked over a mailbox and fence, and then was pretty easily captured.
The real deal was of course the precures seeing a throughline with Zakuro and how Zakuro's hopes and dreams are not aligned with her leader. But only the next two episodes can tell.
I'll probably do a double review tomorrow since its a 2 parter.
