Do you think we're ever gonna get another Umineko anime? A Ciconia anime when that story finally gets off the ground? Or just another Higurashi reboot?

Ciconia anime when that story finally gets off the ground
See you in 2040
none of the above
lol
He wants the hack trilogy
Sex with Shion Sonozaki
the hack trilogy
Chaos;Head, Steins;Gate, and Robotics;Notes.
Umineko wasn't meant for animation. All detective fiction is best in the written medium with as little visuals as possible to allow no interference with the puzzle delicately made by the writer.
threadly reminder that Satoko did nothing wrong.
Based
I want an anime that embraces long and fast paced narrationkino. It can be done.
The nature of detection is written, not seen.
Most of the clues in Umineko for finding out what's going on are dialogue or exposition.
There is no need for animation.
Umineko has already reached the peak form of mystery already.
It will be just Higurashi again. Anime companies really have no faith in Umineko after the first animbe bombed. Higurashi also has the pachinko sponsors. While Umineko had a pachinko it didn't keep getting new Pachinko releases for almost 10 years without any new anime.
Ciconia did badly enough R07 thinks he has to get other jobs to make money. So, obviously you won't get another 3rd party investing there.
I think it's hilarious considering a big plot point of Higurashi was how Rena's dad going to the bars to drink and gamble ruined his life
it was much more about him getting strung along by whores, a certain one in particular
Umineko already has Alchemist version with voices and all, animation would add absolutely nothing to it.
I'm still reading Umineko (episode 5, which is already the best so far), but give it to Shaft and I think it could be something special. The guys who did Nisekoi would be a good fit.
Actually Shaft would be good since they've mastered the art of characters talking for 45 minutes into high budget production
as little visuals as possible to allow no interference with the puzzle delicately made by the writer.
manga had a shit ton of cool visuals though, and i think they only added to the story.
Narrative gives more darkness for an author to write into
Why is Battler there.
Probably because the thread is about Umineko??
This. I don’t expect any WTC property to get animated ever again.
when Rika said the n-word
I could imagine some studio like David Productions being able to pull off the visuals. It's just weaponized flying text.
But who’s the girl on the left?
Do you think we're ever gonna get another Umineko anime?
Considering Umineko ended over a decade ago and the last major addition to it as a work was what, 8 years ago, I doubt it.
Umineko itself barely benefits at all from even adding CGs and VA to it so any adaptation would be completely pointless. The only way one would happen is if the licensing for a TV anime is handed off to a studio that wants to adapt it as a passion project, a la WIT and Yaiba currently, but Umineko likely doesn't have that kind of popularity within those circles.
A Ciconia anime when that story finally gets off the ground?
We're not really in the VN adaptation era anymore, so no.
Or just another Higurashi reboot?
We'll probably see another Higurashi anime inevitably since it's a franchise, but a reboot? Doubtful.
don't worry about it
I hate that the recent Umineko stage play is giving me hope. I keep seeing fanart in the #umisute tag so at least some nips enjoyed it.
manga had a shit ton of cool visuals though,
Hey retard, he's talking about deduction, not how the manga shows Eva and EVA shifting or whatever.
Mystery narratives are at their best in a primarily written format because visuals further confusion in unintended way, like over examination that could result in viewing artistic error as a clue or the like.
When it is just written though, the writer then controls the entirety of what the reader is being handed as information. A reader can't check for themselves if those bodies are deceased, so they have to rely on the third party or the perspective character. A reader can't thoroughly check for hidden doors, so they have to accept the common mystery idea of concepts are given allusion before they become integral, and so on.
Anon Babble kicked you guys out or something?
We'll probably see another Higurashi anime inevitably since it's a franchise
A dead franchise. And if they did give us another anime for some unforeseeable reason, they’d probably have to replace some of the main cast since they’re getting to retirement age. I don’t like the idea of hearing someone else voice Satoko or Rena.
A dead franchise.
It gacha managed to last until this year despite the last major franchise work for Higurashi releasing four years ago.
That’s probably cause of like five guys sinking their life savings into it.
I just think how hard it would go with how they manage monogatari too
They just announced a new figure for Hanyuu.
If we get a new anime in the next couple of years we're certainly keeping the same cast. It's if it takes another decade then you're getting recasts.
Higurashi reboot
Give me Miotsukushi, Someutsushi and Kageboushi anime please.
Yeah, it was all Ryuukishi's fault.
Ciconia anime when that story finally gets off the ground
Ciconia will continue in real life after another world war happens
The nature of detection is written, not seen.
How do you think detective work in other mediums and real life works?
