3D is the future of Anime

3D is the future of Anime

bro wasted like 10 months animating this one mintue

and your mother wasted 40 weeks on you

3DCG is like AI, it's not art.

What exactly was this webm supposed to prove?

you wish

Forced soulless. Learn to draw

Toy Story isn't art? Get outta here

Every good 3D artist knows how to draw. You can't sculpt if you can't draw and if you can't sculpt you're not a good 3D artist

photography is not art, learn to paint

The problem with 3D anime is that it has always adhered to the 24 FPS thing all other shows do, meaning it looks like absolute garbage in motion. If 3D anime looked like cutscenes from anime-style video games it would be a lot better received. I'm not sure how much money it takes to produce something like that compared to hand drawn animation though.

ANGELA BALLSACK

Those models do not look sculpted. They look polymodeled. A lot of 3d animators cannot draw for shit.

the future

Yeah, 15 years ago. It's the present now

Walking 1.webm - 1920x1080, 3.87M

Who are you quoting?

Hope soon.

digital drawing is not art

using pencil is not art

not concocting your own ink is not art

using paper is not art

Who are you quoting?

24 FPS is standard for 3d animation. Shit Anime 3DCG uses like 5 to 10 FPS

implying

To some retard, obviously
L2R, fag

Peak Indian branded seethe

Who is that post supposed to be quoting?

It is. Moving an arm or a leg using dimensional coordinates is the same as writing a prompt in a chatbot. It's not art

Lol fuck no. 3d Animation is just as hard as 2d Animation

Retard

HOLY NEWFAG

Not really, it has been decades now and 95% of the time cgi looks awful, 4% looks fine but would be better if it was 2d and 1% it stands out as its own worth thing instead of a budget saving tool.

AI doesnt seem ready yet for proper implementation (it looked awful in monogatari) but its already showing more promise than 3dcgi ever did with that one weird short it released recently, at least as a good tool for inbetweens.

It´s harder.

No, it's not even remotely as difficult, which is why people choose it over doing anything related to drawing. You're moving a 3D object that maintains its own perspective. All you have to do is add keyframes and manipulate where the object and parts of the object are over a period of time. When you animate by hand, you are recreating the object over and over as it moves through 'space', including its perspective and any other properties the object is supposed to have. This requires mastery of anatomy, function, style, and all sorts of nuanced sensory details.

Then do it yourself.
blender.org/
Its as easy as prompting right ? Go on. Do it.

How so? But back to the question, who exactly are you quoting?

3d Animation needed mastery of anatomy, function, style, and all sorts of nuanced sensory details too retard

I obviously know how blender works or I wouldn't be talking about it, nig. As easy as prompting? No, it requires more knowledge than prompting obviously, and 2D art requires more skill and knowledge than both of them.

Nope, both are equal pain in the ass to master.
See the comparison between Berserk and Houseki no Kuni

Every good 3D artist knows how to draw

You only need a cursory understanding of those things since the software handles things like physics. You don't have a mastery of those fundamentals unless you can animate in 2D.

Not wrong.

Drawing on paper > drawing on tablet > 3D modeling > drooling retard level > AI prompting

since the software handles things like physics

True 3d Animators animate them by hand. See those Pixar Animators video. 90% of the time they animate key scenes by hand

Thats what shitty 3d animators do.

AAAA I REMEMBER THIS

Drawing on Paper isnt a thing anymore.

Almost none of them know how to draw, retard. The ones who do, primarily stick to drawing, and only do 3D as a side gig.
3D is extremely easy to learn and doesn't require any talent.

2 weeks tops, if he did it fulltime

You can allow physics to take over or go in and manipulate object positions more intricately. The point is that the object exists to be manipulated. It’s like stop motion with a figurine with more parameters.

2D is infinitely harder and more beautiful.

What a slop.

3D is extremely easy to learn and doesn't require any talent.

Berserk uses 2d animators to animate 3d and look what happen

CGI is ok by itself.
CGI that pretends to be 2D is awful.
Just have CGI be its own thing.

3D "animation"

99% shaders 1% animation

What is it always like this?

This artist is such a one trick pony

I agree that AI isn't art but 3DCG has it's place. It's just bad when they're trying to make a gimmicky new artstyle out of it (like promare)

Not really. Most 2d anime i watch nowadays has subpar animation with only mouth moving.

Im not shitting 2d. It just 2d and 3d are different and beautiful in their own way. And both are hard to master in their own way. 2d animators cannot do 3d animations and the opposite is also applies.

The irony is that this animation wasn't even done in Blender.

No, 2D is respected in a way that 3D will never be. 2D artists are gods. 3D sculptors are more respectable. 3D polymodeling animators are not magical beings like 2D artists are. They are cogs.

Cool, Xenoblade 2 The animation Part 2 is coming soon

what do CG anime girls smell like?

Not sure if 2D is harder than 3D. Sure doesn't feel like it to me. But I only find hand drawn animations to be prettier.

doesn’t feel like it

I’m sure you’re highly skilled at drawing too

Anon, most high budget anime you watch is already partially using 3d.
3d gonna here to stay. Im not a gachafag but those ZZZ trailer animation were 10/10

Yeah 3d can definitely used to make things, no criticises vidya for it and films made of it are fine. But definitely not for tracing over in anime.

Good 3DCG Anime is when you didnt realize it was 3DCG
This show was truly aheads of its time

I don’t care what studios are doing to cut budgets. I’m stating that 2D is superior in every way. It is an absolute.

You probably gonna stick with Ghibli animation then. Not sure if Miyazaki gonna last for another 10 years

You can definitely tell. And the harder they try to replicate the dynamism of real 2D, the more soulless it gets

Your opinion

Etotana diagrees with you

3DCG Isnt like 10 years ago. Everyone already know how to use one. For example, every Vehicle in Anime nowadays is already using 3DCG

ironically, the only times 3d anime is bad is in anime.

dizzy.webm - 1066x600, 2.92M

training your animation skills

wasted time

choose one

Its art. Get with the times grandpa.

i cant believe the slug would do this

Violet Evergarden is partly CGI btw

Wrong.

Isn´t that just interpolation between images?

didn't do it

KEK knew it. I'll be waiting.

3d artist

can draw

pick one

There's so much good 3d in anime that no one realizes is 3d because they've gotten good at blending it together. It's only the bad examples that get caught.

On CSP, somewhat. But I'm only using the pro version.
Blender is ass. It makes me punch holes on my wall.
I'm trying to learn Maya currently.

The 3D artists that i know work in 3D and in 2D depending on the work they can get. Just makes sense to be able to handle both.

I can draw.

AI is the future of the anime, or at least heavily used AI with 10% of human intervention to correct minor mistakes.

Its 100% 3dcg Like said, most anime nowadays already know how to blend 3d and 2d.

the future if anime for Indians perhaps

Show your beautiful art, anon

KEK!

that was very fun to watch. Reminds me of those old stickman flash animations where the stickmen would fight the animator's various paint cursors and Flash menus.

2d Anime is truly the best Animation

TRVKE

AAAAH IT'S CGI, YAMERROOOO

Zirconcrawl.webm - 932x910, 1.85M

T r v k e

yeah already posted

What do you want me to draw?

most anime nowadays already know how to blend 3d and 2d.

The lie detector determined that was a lie.

Sweaty big titty muscle woman bearhugging an equally sweaty but smaller titty regular woman.

I didn’t ask you to draw anything. I asked you to show a finished piece.

Draw 1:1 animation of this

utterly disgusting
He's trying SO hard to make 3DCG "soulful" and it's just not

Sure. What next, a finished 3D piece?

gato.jpg - 1096x1463, 1.59M

Show the subject.

What do you mean?

Yes, but unironically. Grease pencil will make that a reality.

They are nothing alike. One certainly can´t call AI art but CGI involves a plethora of artistic and technical skills to produce.

Jesus. I wish. but I'm learning Maya to get better at rigging.

Theres nothing with 3d animation if its good

Thats a 3d animation anon....

i like good 2d animation
i like good 3d animation
i don't like when they're mixed

No, I’ve seen everything I need to see. You’re an amateur, so your idea of what ‘feels’ harder is distorted. You probably think the feeling of mastery is super subjective or something. If you think 3D isn’t as difficult as 2D, your skill level explains a lot. And I was expecting technical line art related to anime, not an impressionist painting. I get the picture now though. You can’t be judged against the topic being discussed if you offer up an amateur painting.

3D that tries to be 2D can be good but it's so cost intensive that it's not worth doing on a large scale unless you're willing to compromise and use just plain 2D for a lot of scenes.

3d IS soulful, boomer

when it apes 2D--and even then, not very

2D will never do this

wow so wacky and zany! lmao like bocchi the rock!!!

The fuck? No 2D is extremelly fucking difficult. Holy shit dude. I wasn't debating with you, I'm just replying to your post because I see myself as someone who can both draw and do some 3D.

I made most of this on Revit then it was on Twinmotion. I had no time to make better models.
I have the levels, cuts and some views done on Revit in a sheet. Technical drawing is so fucking difficult and if you can't get the 2D part done, you can say sayonara to the rest.

Expressive art isn't in demand. I just wanted to show you that I can do impressionism, but It's just that. I can't do details and I was hospitalized trying.

a pool.jpg - 1920x1080, 523.7K

how come there used to be literal 12 year olds animating flash porn games nearly 20 years ago and now people so much piss themselves at the mere notion of drawing?

Most 3D programs are actually 2D ones. this discussion is so fucking stupid.

Fuck, I mean, in the sense that you're just working with lines, in a 3D space. It's still just lines.

It may be so, but this forced animation tics me off...

The problem is people try and mix 3D art with 2D art. If you are going to make 2D art stick with it, same with 3D. It may not look as good as 2D but if half the show is 3D art it takes away from the 2D.

Revit

thats not Angela

3d

in Revit

BIM modeling is 3D. And I told you that I exported it to Twinmotion. There's a plugin on Revit even.

the real heroes are the Adobe Premier chads who are able to edit clips to put the final product together.

Who dis?

Artisfags, both 2D and 3D should all learn technical drawing because oh boy, we all ovet here can notice when your shit looks bad.
We will always give the win yo the illuminationchad and video edittint chad if your shit looks bad but presenteable.

We must use AI to replicate the lost cell style

AI

replicate anything

You cannot, never fucking ever, give technical drawing to an AI.
Ever.
Nope.
You can absolutelly not.

Man I loved the first one. That said this is set ~2026 ish

Blender at 100% power trying to do what Unreal Engine shows you to do in the tutorial.

looks like source film maker

Box modeling, Renderizations - 3DS Max
Rigging, animation - Maya
Gay shit that will eat your computer alive - Unreal Engine

Only retards are still using Blender.

Forgot sculpting - nothing. Sculpting is for fucking retards.

Box modeling, Renderizations - can be done in Blender
Rigging, animation - can be done in Blender
Gay shit that will eat your computer alive -- can be done in Blender
Sculpture - Can be done in Blender
UV mapping - can be done in Blender
2d animation - can be done in Blender

Praise the free, open source software. You are an angel and you should love yourself for using it.

If it was hand drawn it'd take him a lifetime

3
Million
Fucking
Triangles.

That's it, I give up Blender.

Your retopology bro?

it looks like dogshit every time though
your webm included

The last time I saw this video, I couldn't understand shit.
Now I do. Because I learned Blender.

Like, asm me a Blender related questjin. I will abswer it.

Reminder that all these shows probably use Unreal Engine 5 to make the visuals, and Epic made 3D modeling amd map making retardly easy for indians.

Yep.

Don't forget Twinmotion. That shit is also incredible and also free.
