I don't have the image handy but you know the page from SnK, the 10 years at least one. I don't think anons now fully appreciate how much of a let down that page was, you sorta had to be there. There were so many theories about what was gonna happen and how good the ending could theoretically be, but as the last chapters trickled out it was like a slow motion car crash which we didn't think could be any worse. Then the final chapter came out and it was somehow exponentially worse...and then the extra pages dropped and made everyone even more upset. Even normies agree with me when I say the story ends when the rumbling begins. Shame we have to lose all the epic Floch scenes afterward but it's for the best

It had such potential. The degredation in art was inevitable, as Yukinobu Tatsu quit as Fujimotos assistant. But the degredation of the story and characters is truly inexcusable. It seems the mainstream success of part 1 and those gay oneshots made him think he could just churn out anything and people would praise it as kino. I coped for a long time, telling people to trust the plan, but part 2 is just objectively a sloppy piece of shit that pales in comparison to part 1.

Part 1 was never good either

He really made a popular cast and replaced every notable member with a nobody that does nothing. Even nu-denji is just a mouth breathing retarded plot device now. No slight nuance or development like we saw in part 1. The last hint at the Denji I remember was in the aquarium. After that it’s been a cycle of despair, mental breakdowns, almost becoming a character again, and then horny cock and balls punchline. It’s just so boring now.

Hiramoto, Sasuga and Isayama the first of that list didn't deserve it, though

I wonder if Fujimoto was influenced by CSM's massive surge in popularity around the time the anime released. I know that during that time, a lot of people praised how Denji's horniness was n't just a gag like you'd expect, and was actually a character flaw that he needed to overcome because he was a victim of hypersexuality and grooming and all that shit. Maybe Fujimoto took that idea and ran with it in Part 2, much to Denji's detriment.

The assistant was the one who made the characters of part 1 interesting in the first place.

He didn’t run with it. We’ve had multiple moments of revelation where Denji understands that he’s being retarded only to go back to square one after a couple chapters. It’s clumsy fight scenes, introductions of characters who last 2-4 chapters, and spinning the wheels for whoever’s left.

No. Granted, Power was funny, and the mystery surrounding Makima made her an interesting character (ruined by the revelation of her nonsensical motivations).

But the true soul of part 1 was Aki. Just like Agni in Fire Punch, he delivers some exceptionally enjoyable suffering-kino. The suffering Denji and Asa go though in part 2 is mediocre in comparison, as they are insufferable and unethical characters.

I was about to name TG:re, but honestly, even at its lowest moments, :re was more coherent and interesting to read than this shit show. Not even going to mention to art quality, the second half of CSM2 is among the worst drawn titles i've ever seen from a jump title.
