I've not watched any modern Gundam series since Endless Waltz. Has the series in general gotten this tame, or is GQX trying really hard not to show any signs of people dying or mechs getting ripped to shreds? The most you got in this episode was a single mobile suit's head getting knocked clean off, and for the rest of it, no flying bits, no battle damage, etc.

The issue with G-witch is it was rushed, didn't spend enough time with the main couple to justify the romance and had too many pointless side characters. If Shaddiq and his faction didn't exist the show would be completely unchanged, and the additional run time for the main couple and other characters would have made the show just fine. But it is a typical japanese writing trap to waste hours on pointless side characters.
