Jojolion is probably my favorite part despite its flaws.
Araki might've fucked up on a lot of the dropped plot points but it almost adds to the surreal, stream of consciousness, psychedelic and dare I say bizarre atmosphere compared to the other parts that's really special.
Also has my favorite mc stand introduction, easily. Something really out there about the mystery fight against a guy upstairs with a naked woman upstairs where nobody has any idea what's going on. Taking inspiration from eroticism was a really cool piece of Araki's writing which sort of went away (molestation doesn't count), but I really liked the visual references to Magritte with WoU.
I think Wonder of U was a little bit of missed potential, I was completely on board until the resolution - the part where Josuke decides to stop at the hospital with no intention to fight him was ABSOLUTE GOLD (him stanced up waiting for him was fuckin awesome) but unfortunately it got resolved with some asspull powerup. I would've liked to see how Araki would write himself out of a corner by having Josuke beat him with no actual intention to pursue. No clue how he would've done it, but Araki excels with that sort of shit.
Damo was kino
Jobin would've made a better main villain, or at the very least deserved a final fight, I'm not too passionate about that take.
The stream of consciousness style of writing just sort of failed with Tooru. If he planned it from the start, I bet Araki could've really had fun with that idea. Kaato beating him was awesome, I enjoyed that as I was reading monthly but I'm not gonna pretend the "only two chapters left!" announcement was pretty harsh. Could've done more with her, and the whole family for that matter.
All in all, I think SBR is objectively his best written part but Jojolion really had the potential to top it for a while there.
had to retype this bullshit cuz of the email verification DOGSHIT
