what's wrong with his plan? making anime world real for everyone is pretty good
What's wrong with his plan? making anime world real for everyone is pretty good
while i appreciate the filename, his plan is wrong because well, it's a tired old philosophic trope: the choice of what is real over what is fake/false/virtual
the choice of the struggle towards progress vs the slow decay of comfort
it's wrong that he got crushed by a tree and had an eye removed and then not only survived but got a special power and created an evil plan to rule the world because a girl died and then after following that plan for years became a good guy because a teenager told him something
no
While the spirit of humanity is the right choice in every story because otherwise there would be no plot, why would ever you deny it to yourself if you got the choice in reality?
You can't even tell if your suffering in this world isn't already a kind of "fake" experience. You are betting it all on your current reality being real on top of giving up guaranteed happiness.
why would ever you deny it to yourself if you got the choice in reality?
ultimately because suffering is virtuous, or something to that effect
it's silly i know but this is what greater minds than I came up with
instinctually there is some kind of revulsion against the rat whose brain is hooked up to a heroin machine that activates on the press of a button
i don't know if you are familiar with that experiment but, yeah, the rat died pressing the button over and over and over and ..
Literally nothing. That's why you can only undermine him by calling him names or making fun of his backstory, both of which have nothing to do with his actual argument. Even the author knew his argument was irrefutable hence why it's never brought up again in favor of that retarded origin story and RINRINRINRINRIN.
Obito goes through with his plan and activates Infinite Tsukuyomi
Everyone gets tree'd
Get to hallucinate on genjutsu dreams but eventually they'll all physically and mentally degrade into White Zetsu
Kaguya is revived using Obito's body as a catalyst whether he likes it or not
Momo and Kinshiki (and the other one if you watch the anime) all jump Kaguya
Shrinkydinky and his merry gaggle of human serfs jump the jumpers and either feed them to the baby Ten Tails
Assuming Obito's tree hadn't already borne fruit making the first Ayy Lmao to eat it the strongest, presumably
Obito succeeding would have basically fulfilled a future villain's win condition
kishimoto hadn't thought of any of those characters yet so that isn't quite fair
Kaguya is revived using Obito's body as a catalyst whether he likes it or not
False. Juubi tried to take over his body exactly the same as with Madara (when his body swelled up, just like it did before Madara died) but unlike Madara, Obito resisted it.
Not that, by Black Zetsu. BZ forcibly uses Madara's body to revive Kaguya as the entire Eye of the Moon Plan was orchestrated by him through Madara to revive Kaguya.
Presuming Obito's plan (betraying Madara and being the one to initiate the Infinite Tsukuyomi) goes off without a hitch (rather than jobbing and being TnJ'd), BZ would realistically step in and start his just according to keikaku bullshit
Because it's unironic delusion. This is like saying sleeping all your life is a good thing because you get happy dreams. Not wanting to live in reality anymore is a sign you're fucked up as a person.
I-I-It's a perfect world!
It's a dream. It isn't real, no matter how much you want it to be. This lie can only exist in fantasy in the first place.

in the posed hypothetical the fantasy can be made reality (in the sense that it is possible to "hook you up to the matrix")
oh my fucking god
yes the entire point of the exercise is to be able to argue that the alternative reality, dubbed fantasy, is undesirable, without appealing to reality
you are a normalfaggot. that's all
The plan was that there was no plan. Everything and everyone involved with the war was all thanks to this man. Obito brought nothing to the table and thought he could start, let alone win a war with a bunch of play dough people. Kabuto was the main supplier, the backbone, the muscle, the brain, the arms, the legs, and the heart of the war. You wouldn't even had Madra without this man.
The REAL illusion was Obito thinking he could win before CHADbuto step in and ntr'ed his plan.
suffering is virtuous, or something to that effect
Nah giving your shit to other people is virtuous. If you're suffering alone, you're just a loser. But give your stuff to those in need and you're a good guy. Give you time to learn a skill and produce something for other people, you're a great member of society. Give your life to the country, you're a hero. Give everything you have away and people will praise you, that's the whole deal haha
Write a character so down bad you have to make "Character development" into an actual skill to be used on him so he joins the "good guys".
Izanami is worthy of a place in the top 3 of bullshit pulled in all of shounen.
Is fucking grim when you realize naruto villians are better than all modern anime villians
isnt his plan just instrumentality ?
implying the real world isn't in a perpetual state of slow decay
No, it's hooking everyone up in the Matrix.
i don't know if you are familiar with that experiment but, yeah, the rat died pressing the button over and over and over and ..
post the experiment
You turn into a plant and die Naruto heaven seems like a awful place like the soul society
Nothing, so Kishimoto made it so everyone would turn into Zetsu for AYYLMAOS after the fact.
I want that Steak in the Matrix instead of the literal slop people eat outside of it.
you could just go to sleep and have a dream, no need for infinite tsukuyomeme or whatever it's called
not accepting reality counts as giving up
likewise sasuke also given up on reality and choose a shortcut during that last fight, so naruto also destroyed it
likewise sasuke also given up on reality and choose a shortcut during that last fight, so naruto also destroyed it
what?
It's fine until It turns you into fruit and zesty zombies
sasuke chose an easy way out like killing the 5 kage to make himself the main villain so everyone have common enemy, thus they all united
this counts as giving up by naruto's worldview
that's a big problem with naruto. the main villains plans aren't wrong. we just have to believe it's wrong because the main character said so, despite having no real solution against it.
As far as the villains' plans go, I unironically like Pain's plan much more, as it was not only much more grounded in reality, but also gave people a choice: get along with each other, or fuck around and find out. He counted they would always, within a generation or two, do the latter, but it would also always lead to the former.
Nagato was a pretty good villain, it's sad how much Kishi ruined him afterwards. He was apparently only working under Obito and being manipulated by him and even his eyes weren't his, but Madara's which were only given to him for safekeeping, and he couldn't even use them to their full power unlike Madara.
but I DID have breakfast this morning
suffering is virtuous
That's just a cope people came up with to deal with the way this world is. It's not like you wouldn't suffer in your personal hypno heaven either, all joy is followed by pain, there's no getting around that, if things are good then one day they won't be so good and you will miss the good days, and if things are good forever you will eventually get bored of everything you enjoy and then boredom will be your torment. Suffering isn't virtuous, it's inevitable. Some people suffer more than others, but there are no people who don't suffer.
Humanity would have eventually gone extinct since they don't reproduce in the tree. The tree itself would have eventually destroyed on life on the planet.
what's wrong with his plan?
Forcing people into it, if he has no interest in reality good for him, he can seal himself in a genjutsu but forcing other people into it is evil.
Just an incel chimpout after the girl he was simping for picked his chad teamate.
You are betting it all on your current reality being real
this. "reality" is basically losers fighting to stay in this fantasy world they call real life instead of waking up already from the dream of a physical world. even after death they're unable to let go of this fantasy world and rush into the "tunnel of light" to be reprocessed back into the mush that passes as human soul in here.
I don't understand why Madara was so obsessed with the Infinite Tsukuyomi plan in the first place. I never got the feeling that he particularly cared about other people or their happiness to create an ideal world for everyone. He was a very selfish prick whom no one liked except for Hashirama and Izuna, not even other Uchiha. Why does he even care?
Obito I get, I can imagine why Obito might care about IT but not Madara.
I have dreamed dreams where it literally felt real.
There is science backing up how realistic dreams can be. Its why people remember more important dreams.
Obitos goal? He wanted to erase everyones pain and suffering and the endless conflicts and have everyone dream in a paradise ninja world instead, with no pain or suffering or war or death.
There's none.
There's a reason why they asspulled the um akchually people on it get turned into White Zetsus to try to make it look wrong and bad.
He was convinced that Uchiha would die out, the peace from Konoha was a sham, and felt responsible for them, when they ignored his worries he searched for another way to achieve true peace. It's also that it was his childhood dream to achieve peace, but, after all his brothers died, he convinced himself that it couldn't happen in this world, and no matter how much Hashirama tried he never convinced him otherwise. Madara is a dumb character anyway, who hurt the story more than Kaguya.

Oh hey, someone else who agrees with me. He's really only there to do, what the current generation call, "aura farming"
the fabled asacuck
Yeah, it was incredibly dumb how they gave him that backstory, only to show him be a complete WAKU WAKU battle autist who seems to desire the thrill of a challenge. Guy almost killed him at his peak of power, and he couldn't be happier for it.
his only motivation that he had was revenge against konoha because of uchiha vs senju beef, that's about it
during ninja war arc he completely has no motivation in creating world peace, it's just poorly written, evil for the sake of being evil
