The only beauty I ever saw in this show was Suzu

The fact that there is a overarching plot that's is nowhere to be found in this Mystery of the week show with Yokai/Demons really kills my interest in the stories. At least with like Mushishi he's a traveler that we can't really put a point on, this feels like avoiding the far more interesting and bigger picture.

This is a training arc for the soul. He'll exit the edgelord phase and be able to forgive/save his sister. And one of the steps in reaching that point is getting along with his dad whose sin is still less than his sister's.

Well that was a nice episode. I like these little episodic stories. The series really should've just started with Jinya solving mysteries and occasionally flashing back to Kadono, rather than starting with that shitfest.

Jinya's interactions with the invisible demon guy and ofuu really put into perspective how much of a evil cunt Suzune is and how much of it can't be attributed to just the fact that she is a demon.
