The Zaku, Rik Dom, Gundam, etc... all of them have their "spacial awareness" oriented to the head. In OG Gundam and 8th MS team, you see a Gundam's head get knocked/shot off and the pilot is disoriented for a moment before they can change cameras. In case of large mobile suits, like the Psycho Gundam and the Zeong, the cockpits have to be located in the head to make the orientation work becasue the suits are so big. There is such a large discrepancy is size other wise. The 360* coverage, as a result, will make the mobile suit appear smaller than it is in the cockpit. So the orientation of the lazer pod would appear higher than it actually is.

I don't think protagonist need be morally flawless or anything. I just do not think Machu has been written compellingly so far. Maybe the show will change my mind, but so far I'm very unimpressed.

Machu is likeable in how pathetic she is.
