Arcueid if she Vampire The Masquerade
Ugly
Inferior imposter. The real saber is far more beautiful.
What clan would she be?
White woman spotted
White woman spotted
Nasu moment
white woman is so much bigger than the asian male
but she's also useless most of the time
I wonder how Nasu comes to this conclusion
UFOTABLE HIRE THIS MAN
I look like this
I'm reading Stay Night for the first time and have been going through the Saber route, almost at the end of it now.
But it's made me wonder something: Is the lore of King Arthur in the Fate universe fundamentally different from the one in real life? There's multiple callbacks to Saber's backstory in the VN and it makes it seem as if the events of the past in that world are fundamentally different to ours. That or Nasu just wants the reader to humor his own knowledge by going
well who knows, maybe arthur actually WAS a girl irl and noone lived to tell or correct the tale lolmao
It makes things even weirder when you consider how Arthur from Fate/Prototype is a character as well and coexists with regular Seiba in FGO (if that's anything worth considering)
PLEASE BE IN LONDON
Is the lore of King Arthur in the Fate universe fundamentally different from the one in real life?
Yes, obviously. Though aside from the gender change and the things that stem from it, the stuff with the other characters is based on real Arturian lore if embellished with nasuverse stuff.
different from the one in real life
There's no 'canon' lore of Arthurian myth.
In one version Arthur is a bastard who drowned babies to preemptively kill Mordred.
In another version half of the Round Table acted like dicks and Kay is a complete faggot.

That's a given yes since King Arthur never got his planetary defense system Excalibur or lmao 6 dimensional defense Avalon.

AU is just AU anon.
If Shirou can have 3 versions (4 if you count Redman), then multiple King Arthur is nothing special.
my queen forever
k, thanks for the clarification. It seemed kinda weird for that to be the only major change between irl history and Feitohistory, so I'm assuming more weird stuff will come up later as I go through UBW and HF.
You should be glad I already got spoiled on Archer being Shirou before reading or otherwise I'd have been furiously mad. Still, thanks for the info. I could kinda get Excalibur being busted since that just reads like shonenification but Arthur/Artoria being a 140cm tall highschool girl was a bit of a hard pill to swallow
Nasu has an obsession with making 5th/6th century Britain a doomed land, destined for ruinous collapse, its downfall being absolutely necessary for both the world and humanity to progress into the next age. It is the world's last holdout of the age of gods, where true magic and higher magecraft were allowed to exist before humanity became too dominant. This all falls on saber's shoulders, where even a perfect king could not have saved the nation, and she knew this (at least to some extent) before she pulled Caliburn, but she still blames herself.
Also one important note that makes her secretly being a woman a little more believable is pulling Caliburn stopped her from aging, so she only had to pass as a young teenaged boy instead of a grown man.
Crazy to think that Takeuchi made Arcueid just because of this Canadian model
she only had to pass as a young teenaged boy instead of a grown man
That clicks better now. I find Nasu's rural/ancient Englandbooism cute.
Amanda actually started reading up on Arcueid once she found out about that, funnily enough. Of course since Type-Moon barely TL'd anything up until a few years ago she only went off of YT summaries and external media, but she likes the character and the world of Tsukihime as a whole. She got suggested Fate/zero recently as well so who knows

It's already 20 years anon.
And if you can't deal with spoilers then you wouldn't be here in the first place.
You will get more information on Camelot on FHA and Garden of Avalon.
Though in a true Nasu's style, expect strange details and some inconsistency.
but Arthur/Artoria being a 140cm tall highschool girl was a bit of a hard pill to swallow
Merlin is really good at using illusion spell so he did make Saber look like a young boy.
Also Shirou (or the 3rd person narrative mentioned that nobody cares if the king was a woman or not so there's that too.
Also one important note that makes her secretly being a woman a little more believable
That was Nasu's twist for Lancelot and Guinevere's affair though.
Shouldn't Type Moon owe her royalties or something?
Would be funny if she was invited to Type Moon event on Japan.
FGO or a Fate route remake/expansion should introduce a canon Guinevere design so there can be marital ero art
Apparently Hakuno looks like Guinevere.
What clan would she be?
Antediluvian
Bl*e saber
Saber if she real
No this is her true look if real.
where even a perfect king could not have saved the nation, and she knew this (at least to some extent)
She knew that Britannia was doomed, but she thought that the fall of Britannia would be peaceful like dying in your sleep not the trainwreck that actually was
more like b**b saber lol
Saber if she hot
Cursed. Saber is a white, blonde pure maiden.
soulless
Her eyes should be green though
Overflowing with soul.
No
Leave the cute tan energy to Maki-chan!
Fuji Maki Seiba
I approve
Ugly
She and the Prologue trio are good on their own right
