i see, so only spells containing SP on the name are only useable in riding duels, so basically your side deck would consist on spells that can be use outside riding duels

I hope this duel isn't retconned into Yusei sandbagging or something. Having the protagonist already having a 0-1 record with the rival is more interesting.

In its stead, afterwards I watched zexal episode 1 and it was actually really fun and well written and wow the animation and art is leveled up from GX.
