I've been racking my brain and this is the only example I can think of. Kind of cheating though since she's from a VN, didn't really win imo.
I'm starting to think anime is a Japanese state project to force feed the world tales of the most undeserved winners in all scenarios. I don't know what they're goal is, maybe mass demoralization?

I've always preferred the demon girls. Or Ayumi, if I had to pick one of the conquests.
But after rewatching it and rereading it, Chihiro was clearly endgame for Keima. It just makes sense with his arc of accepting the real world (with its imperfections and all) that he would go for the least idealized girl, she was the one who affected Keima the hardest.
Another thing I didn't notice the first time reading it was how Keima's confession outside her house mirrored Chihiro's farewell to him at his house.

I mean, yeah. The author has been shipping them together since her original conquest arc.
Still not deserved, though.
So did a dozen other girls in their own routes. VN endings are meaningless.

To be fair, it we're just going by merits or how much they helped Keima, yeah, Tenri would be the winner. But Keima clearly didn't like Tenri that way, even if he appreciates all the girls at the end.
He knew that in order for things to happen in the future, he would need her help but also made it clear that she wasn't the one he liked. I think that's more considerate than just stringing her along for all those years making her think that she had a chance. She had her choice and chose to help him.
As I mentioned, I liked his chemistry with Aqua, but I can't complain about his final decision.

I only read this after it ended because everyone was so mad, the thing that got me is how rushed the ending was. It felt like a bunch of nonsense and the plot all gets resolved off-screen, and even if it was endgame all along it makes him look like an asshole. What a waste of time reading the last half was.

I miss this series so much
The main point a lot of speedreaders/waifufags miss is the fact that Chihiro is the only girl who constantly goes AGAINST what Keima expects. Every other girl's conquest just goes however Keima structures her route in his head, but Chihiro fucks with his brain to the point where he actually looks at romance/relationships in general from a different light.
That's the main reason why Keima chooses her. Because this lack of understanding draws him in, wanting to solve the puzzle.
