He is the villain of his own story, and only brings misery to himself and everyone around him. Denji deserves every single ounce of suffering that comes his way. It's my headcanon sure but that's how I make sense out of that line of hers and it's illogical for her to not implement Future's ability. I have a very love/hate relationship with Hajime Inoryu as a writer
He is very, very good at moment-to-moment page turners. He can make twists feel shocking/unexpected without being total asspulls. However, I think a lot of his writing relies too much on that, especially since the latter half of My Dearest Self devolved into a total mess of one “le crazy” twist after another..
That said, I think Spica’s episodic structure inherently plays into Inoryu’s strengths as a writer. Crazy-ass plot batshit twists are WAY more digestible if they’re about a “mystery of the week” which lasts 5-7 chapters as opposed to a 10 volume long manga.
I’m definitely optimistic about it.
