I like both, tis a false choice. When I was a kid I hated moe anime because I found it cringy and girly. You can only really appreciate it as an adult (or if you're a hardcore otaku / moefag, but those "people" aren't worth taking seriously).

Because I don't have any friends anymore and SOL (especially school life) is escapism for the period in my life when I had a close knit friend group.
I don't necessarily want power fantasy or isekai escapism, I just want to goof off with my middle and high school friends again. My self-insert MC isn't Goku or Samsung from Solo Leveling, it's the group of girls who build camaraderie from stressing out about homework and tests and then blow off steam in high school extracurricular activities.
I watch SOL and cgdct because the power of friendship literally is stronger than all else in life. If you had friends when you were younger and don't anymore, you'd give up everything to relive those days.
