It's just that talking to a waifufag made me sort of realize how it must feel if you're really invested in some character and it gets suddenly retconned on some epilogue Fumi wrote probably while drunk.

GuP is fun but it's a very slow show until the tanks show up. If CGDCT SoL isn't your thing then you're likely to be put off because nothing tank-related happens until episodes 4-5.

If anything the series has too little SoL because it basically turns to straight out action series after the first episode

It’s mainly a “sport” anime anyway. You get all the SoL stuff in either the ovas, licensed manga or spinoff doujins

the first match is just practice. slow enough it's practically SoL. first 3 episodes are all setup. they're fine but the show also failed to capture my attention for a while on my first watch.
