I am also an oldfag, I had watched things like robotech, because in that time there was no much alternatives offered to me. with time I developed my own taste, I started liking some things more than others, started getting a clue of what coherence an logic was, how every story need a minimum amount of those in order to be even watchable, if not enjoyable by my own standards forged with time and my own criteria.
Also, I, as any other human, dont have the privilege of infinite amounts of time, so after deciding which series I will not watch, I have to decide after 3EP rule which series, despite its merits, I will not enjoy.
