it's arguably less easy to read manga. i am generally very picky when it comes to manga, since i dont like my chapters being too long. there's a sweet spot for page count, like 14-20 pages, for me. and i get filtered by manga with a lot of text, even though i like reading books. and some mangaka are just shit panelists. this is why ichigo mashimaro is my favorite manga, because it's actually readable from a logistical standpoint.
99.9% of people who talk like this are LARPers who have barely any experience with older anime.
