She is so lonely that she can only have dinner with her boss. That is why she wished she could have been with Machu and Shu-chan.
As I understood it she pretty much wanted to answer everything the guy told her not to answer so she shut her mouth. It's a parallel with Machu being unable to speak to her mom because trying means giving the wrong answer and getting told off by adults. Except that unlike Machu Nyan has simply stopped trying.
It bothers me a little though because while I wouldn't mind that scene on literally any other character Nyan is rather bland already. She really doesn't need more scenes where she does nothing and acts as blank space. She needs scenes that expose her character not whatever this negative space description of her is. I don't get what's so great about that but no doubt a scriptwriter is jerking out about it somewhere because he's proud of it.

It's the reverse, Challia picked up a death flag when he saved Xavier and mentioned Gihren's spooks. Xavier's handler sowed doubt around Challia earlier in the episode. Challia is playing both Zabis in a way that is likely to get him killed.
Xavier is the exact sort of naive newtype dummy that Challia thinks should be protected for the future, he will sacrifice himself to save Xavier if necessary.

I don't believe it for one second. Challia would grind Xavier into spacedust if it constituted a step toward bringing Char back. It's also much more likely Challia is aware of everything and is using Xavier's affection for him to get to Kycilia or whatever else his goal is. Maybe he just wants to kill both Kycilia and Gihren before Char returns triumphantly, who knows.

There's been no indication Challia is carrying on Char's will against the Zabis and every bit of characterization we've gotten shows him as chill and concerned with newtypes.

Probably not, Char never told Challia shit but he might have inferred as much from the mere fact that Char hid his face while Kycilia knew. Doesn't really matter anyways, since he fully believes in the notion Char is Casval, it makes sense that he would try to clean up the political field before his mav's great return. The perk of being able to live under his real idendity is just a side bonus not a main goal.

He's also the guy who forced his way into a neutral colony with an armed ship and hasn't left since despite Xavier coming back to him.
You might disagree on his objectives but I think that's a bit naive to think he's every bit as nice as he's depicted. Not to mention Challia explicitely left both Zabi ships to jump on Char's ship in the flashback so the fact that the Zabi are his enemies now is rather self evident.

Char seduced him with promises about a future for newtypes beyond the war, not Zabi-hunting. Challia is a peaceful gentleman who will leap to defend Kycilia because her death would bring about disaster and a new war. Kikeroga vs psycho gundam brawl coming in.
I hope this is the case because Challia being Char 2.0 would be incredibly boring
