What anime moments have brought tears to your eyes IRL?

he cries to romantic scenes

lmao

When it's the culmination of a season, and it's directed really well, it'd be strange of you not to tear up a little.

Actually, I thought this kissing scene was kinda lame.

You are courting death.

You can really tell they were trying to do "Shinkai at home." Unfortunately, they didn't have Shinkai's budget or staff, so we have what we have.

Shinkai at home

Is that such a bad thing? it's certainly head and shoulders above what typical slopmakers even attempt.

It is a bad thing when you lack the means to do it.

See, this is where I disagree. Not everyone can get money up the butt to make sakuga scenes, but everyone can do their best with the budget they do have. Good direction always trumps good animation, always did, always will.

The bath and other panservice scenes brought tears to our eyes as censorship has struck this anime in western parts.

Not you again

Good direction always trumps good animation

This, this, this, so much this
Good directors can make a slideshow touching and bad directors waste millions and months on dogshit like this

What exactly am I looking at here?

The gruesome demise of a Swinub

manly elf

Tall dwarf
Dandere orc
Halfling in boots
Chaste catgirl
Interesting human

hearty kek

people don't wear panties to the bath, schizo

This is not good animation, it looks bizarre and uncanny, like what you'd see if you ripped open a loaf of bread while on heavy drugs.

other scenes

not limited to the bath, reading comprehension

The point is that it was definitely very expensive and labor-intensive animation

other scenes had her showing her bare ass, nobody cares about your pissrags

apologist so quick to defend a series he was paid to shill

nobody is surprised, censorship apologism knows no bounds

I wasn't even talking to you. Fuck off.

Swinub nyooooooo

implying Anon Babble pussies will ever admit to tearing up

kek

What show?

Ass Classroom ending.
IMO one of the best endings ever made, I did not expect a retarded comedy to hit me like that.

I did not expect

your own fault for missing something that's been foreshadowed from ten miles away

My first reply so yes you weren't talking to me idiot

Not your private conversation, anybody can reply in Anon Babble

This is how the entertainment industry works now. People with the money are so afraid of losing their money that they don't allow any creatives within a cannonshot of decision making. And then they just use their marketing machine to shove the slop they made down the people's throats. While the disgruntled creatives either prioritise their earnings and stay under the corporate heel or take on smaller, indie projects where they're in control, but barely get any funding.

Still not talking to you, panschizo.

Was it really in anime? I already completelly forgot what that shit elf anime was about.

I mean, technically I realised WHAT the ending would be, it's all about the presentation.

Alzheimer's is a bitch.

it's always worked like this, you're just too young to remember it

cope
I'm not him
You're talking to different anons

Don't you have Takamine-san to have a meltdown over? Final acknowledgement from me, go away now.

act like a piece of shit

leave the island without any warning

they still check up on him

cried like a little bitch

Leaving a legacy is about planting seeds in a garden you never get to see

Unfortunately, I'm old enough to remember that it hasn't always been like this, at least not in Japan. The country was a money print in the final decades of the previous century, so the execs weren't afraid to throw money at risky propositions and give the creatives full freedom of expression. This is why this time is universally lauded as the golden age of anime.

Besides, Japan has since picked up on the Western corporate culture, which is entirely based on the protestant value of greed.

Parasyte. You know what scene I'm talking about.

universally lauded as the golden age of anime.

By retarded boomers only. It was shit with like dozen of decent shows/OVAs during the whole fucking decade. Fuck off, boomer.

he unironically liked the taniggas

I only cried because they ruined AOTS

Actually, what most Japanese guys laud as the golden age is the 70s

who gives a shit about shitting raccoons, Im referring to the geyser

Nah, the 70's were pretty shit as well with bizarre plots, poor animation and suffering porn, the Japs will always laud the oldest shit no matter the medium.

haha funny anime big hat witch

But what if..

Thank you for bumping my thread so actively, panschizo. Sometimes even completely braindead men can be useful.

The finale of Kino's Journey

I hate C3-bu so much

The one where Migi departs?

Spoken like somebody who hasn't actually seen that many 70s anime.

I've seen enough World's Masterpiece Theatre and Matsumoto slop to know what I'm talking about.

god bless this cinnamon roll

No, I was talking about this one. Though Migi's farewell was pretty sad too. What a great anime.

WMT

That was a series that went from the 60s to the 00s. Hell, one of the most lighthearted ones, Anne, was a 70s series.

Matsumoto

Bittersweet =/= misery porn.
And both of these have very consistent animation with fairly standard plots- the thesis of WMT is literally adapting international children's works.

one of the most lighthearted ones, Anne

And it was still suffering porn...

And both of these have very consistent animation

Consistently poor. The animation in 70's Japan just wasn't good yet.

If you know, you know.

Oh yeah man, not like ZZ Gundam or Digimon Adventure

Digimon Adventure came out in the same year as Bloodlust, the best animated anime ever.

fuck you for reminding

How's the current Anne? I'm not watching it, but still curious.

You do realise there's two of them, right?

I think it served as the ending in both. It's the one with the volcano, if you know what I mean. Real bitch of an episode.

I hated it so much, thank you for ruining my day.
